  1. Gigantic they are bro. This topic has been discussed by i can give you a short run down. Big and small tires have it's pros and cons. Bigger tires are better for trail or woods riding. They have more rotating mass and a bit on the heavy side. Some people prefer a 6 ply 22' rear tire for trail riding. That's what i have. Now as far as the 18' mx tire look good because of the fact that they are smaller and have less rotating mass and suits better for mx track and things in that nature. Depending what type of riding you will be doing will guide you to the right tire you should choose. Smaller tires on trails or woods will bottom out on the rear swinger because it does sit a bit lower.
  2. X2 I thought i would need help the first time i pulled my motor, when it was loose i could not believe how light these things are standing alone. The frame is hella light too. 4 strokes another hand are a bit heavier. Im thinking twice removing a engine from my girls KFX 400. F*** that
  3. I had my sparkplugs come loose when riding. For me it was just a vibration issue nothing else. I remember seeing a billet bracket type of thing where it hold both the sparkplugs in place preventing it from coming loose i just dont remember where. I just forgot to tighten them really good. This is if you not having mechanical issues.
  4. Damn bro your a soldier to overcome this. I hope you recover quickly and even stronger. Take care and god bless
  5. It really depends on how much you are going to use it and how far you plan to travel. Like a few people on here i built me a custom trailer with dual axles and tall tires. Bansheesandrider explained it clearly. Taller tires changes the gearing for the trailer thus making your bearing last a lot longer. But there is a whole lot more to consider. I have a 16x 6 and i can hold my shee my girls kfx 450 and room to spare for equipment and supplies. You would have to take a lot of things into consideration. You can use a small trailer and fit what you got but i say more is better.
  6. Damn Shee looking sexy bro. Im diggin the yellow.
  7. Damn sorry to hear such news, hope all goes well bro. Stay strong and overcome this. God Bless!
  8. Cut them fenders off. Give it a tight race cut up in the front. When things get muddy trust me you won't get shyt up all over your face. Just your boots even if that. On the plus side trimming your front fenders makes you go faster. AERODYNAMICS
  9. For colder weather you have to richen it a tad bit depending where your jetted at now. I live in az so i have mine jetted for 75f and up. When i rode it in 50f weather it was running a bit lean so jetting it to a richer jetting should solve your issue.
  10. Welcome to HQ. Yes the best site with many knowledgeable people to help you out. Having a banshee is a very addicting hobby to have but i love as many others on here do too. I don't now if someone mentioned it but if you go with a adjustable timing plate which is the best bang for the buck, stay away from the cast type of plates they suck and strip bolts out easily. Chariot or any type of billet timing plate is the way to go. Im looking to spend about $1000 in motor work or suspension items pretty soon. That grand you have will go quickly trust me. Just depends how fast your willing to go. Good luck bro and any questions you have bring em up on here, most likely someone has been there and done that. Let's see your shee post them pics up
  11. Sandman you havent been up here a good minute, a lot of the old shit is being brought up.
  12. I think it may be a jetting issue. I think during the day when it's warm weather your jetting is spot on, but when it gets cold, the colder denser air throws off your jetting. If it revs i think you might want to jet to one or two sizes bigger. You may be running lean at night giving the symptoms of a air leak but if it only does it at night when it's cold then your issue is a jetting issue. Hope this helps
  13. Damn i never thought purple could look so damn good. I would agree stick with a darker purple but a type of color that pops out when hit by sunlight it will give you contrast and adding billet or chrome dress ups will really make your purple look really good, just know on how to use the color and how much of it. Keep us updated bro.
  14. LOL @ tanks. Right the easiest thing to do is insure your shit.
  15. Is that a steel brake lever? or aluminum? I think steel will end up rusting real quick if you get that thing wet or even the moisture in the air.
  16. Damn guys, all i have is a motion sensor alarm that activates my garage camera and starts recording. Oh yeah and my Stainless 357 by my side.
  17. Yes what i said, but in a much more detailed form. Thnx FullThrottle http://www.mud-throwers.com/bias_vs_radial_tires
  18. Bias tires are more for off road since they have thicker sidewall for rock mud and wear a bit faster than a radial due to somewhat of a soft compound. Radial tires are more used for highway speeds and are rated s up to a z speed rating and the ply's inside the tire are webbed to provide more traction on the track. you get better fuel economy with radial tire. hope this helps
  19. Just looking for people to ride with in Tucson or anywhere near.
  20. Im looking to consider this because i went through a billet shifter and the damn Splines stripped out and the bolt broke on me once. I just had bad luck with these things. The brass splines strip out quick. Either i might try another but the stocker chrome sounds like a good idea.
  21. Loco i think it is a good idea to set up this site with some sort of scoring for the ones who sell shyt up on here. I know there is many people out there like me who think twice before buying shyt on here from shady ass people like that. Just to prevent from getting jacked like Alf44. Thats a lot of $$ to be throwin around feel me?
  22. I do know most of you Kats are not like that, but people like that gets me iffy about buying shyt from other people here on HQ. People like that gets my ass lookin else where for parts. Fuck that get your money back and throw that box of bullshyt in his face.
  23. It's best to find a pipe that performs in the manner that suits your type of riding. I love the sounds of the toomeys t-5 and the DMC 916. I really try to keep my silencers the way i got them. I did cut my FMF powercore silencers, not to increase the sound but to make it look better. It sounds kind of the same. OOF will be your best bet. Im looking to buy the toomey t5 soon because it's a signature sounds for a shee in my opinion. good luck!
  24. Name of the game is preventative maintenance. If you have worn out parts replace or upgrade them. If you have a hard time on 2strokes 4 strokes have a lot more things to work with and cost a whole lot more. Banshees are fun and very unique bro.
