  1. The strictly asphalt Shees are fun to watch. Personally i would'nt that's why i have my ole Foxybody with a 351W
  2. LOL At least he tried. Should of had somethin on his Shee reppin HQ
  3. Bringing the revs way up then dumpin the clutch in 1st from a dead stop will fullfill your need of roostin, Do that on asphalt and your shee will somersault and will be on you ass quicker than you know. Burnouts i dont bother I dont want to risk breaking shit. But an important key to keep in mind is your body weight transfer.
  4. LOL Contraption. Sounds like a good idea, Im sure it should work. Like Gato said lots of rotating mass bro.
  5. Yup they sure do. And im putting mine back on with a brake light. People i go night riding rear ended me pretty hard. Not fun bro.
  6. keep note that when making your harness and when grouping two wires together remember to solder then together don't just crimp em with a connector. Then throw in a heat shrink tubing to protect em.
  7. Damn im diggin the orange looks sick!! Well in your case you have your mind set at the blue and white which are really good colors. What best to do is really balnce the colors out. Dont have too much of you color all over the bike. For an example, do your hubs, rear sprocket rear carrier one color and your axle a whole different one. It's all up to you and how your feeling it. Just make sure you pay attention to detail and be patient it pays off in the end. I would suggest powdercoating but if your on a budget like most of us are then make sure you prep the hell out of what your painting like getting it sandblasted. Also add a few coats of clear to prevent chipping. Also rememeber that if you walk upon a aluminum peice of your bike your not sure about what color to paint, polish that sucker. Good luck keep us posted on how the outcome is.
  8. I would suggest looking in the wanted section or even the for sale section towards the bottom of this site. Good luck.
  9. Well it's always good to have at least two colors in mind that way when you get your shee coated the two different colors gives it some contrast, not making it look too bold(my opinion). The colors your gonna use is basically a personal reference thing. Heres mine with a red and black theme. The frame is coated red and my suspension is coated black. I was planning to powder coat my wheels black but i kinda got stuck here. The colors you choose is something your gonna like not everyone else. I personally prefer my bikes with two colors but ive seen some badass banshees with one solid color. The choice is yours bro.
  10. I heard a lot of great things regarding HJR, yet i also heard good things about D&M. Ive seen their bikes run, they do build some sick ass shyt.
  11. Im in the process of putting brake lights on my shee. Good for a trail bike or in your case making the thing street legal. I used a rear harness from a YFZ. Still havent gone through the process of wiring it yet. Good post
  12. I think DMC pipes are the BEST sounding pipes, not sure the loudest which can get annoying but the best sounding.
  13. Well the mods listed earlier are what i would go for. I tried modding mine with $200 and i could really get anything for that amount. If you want it built the right way and be reliable i would suggest saving up your dough. What im doing since i cant afford $600-800 dollars at once. Im saving my money. Its being saved secretly away from the wife somewhere she dont know. I also have a list of mods and a direction to what i want to put my bike through. Hope this helps.
  14. Dude where the hell were you at when i needed silver wheels rather than the gold. LOL. Well im with you i like the Gld wheels but they werent looking right with what i was going for. My brother has the gold wheels on his 250r and looks sick on his color scheme. It looks good on some bikes. I like the retro look.
  15. Gold wheels are nice but they were throwing the theme i was going for way off. Dont get me wrong i like the retro look but just wasnt feeling it. And here are the pics for those wanting to see the before and after. The final process was polish which can get addicting.lol. It can never be too shiny.
  16. I guess Type F is common. I use type F (remember it has to be an oil designed for WET clutches) I never had any problems. I guess its a preference thing. I use type F cause its cheaper and allows me to change my fluid every so many rides.
  17. If it's the same bike in your sig, you might have some particles in the float needle causing it to not seat properly. As mentioned before your floats might need to be adjusted. The clymers manual helps out a lot on that matter. Thats happend to my shee i tried the two steps above and nothing worked, so i replaced the float needles and wah lah no more drips. Theres like a rubber seal on the float needle so when its closed no fuel goes to the bowls of the carbs. But since your bike is somewhat new i dont know if that might be the case but something you should look for though. i hope this helps bro
  18. Holy Shyt Drewski fuckin nailed it with this one. Perfect rule of thumb. Why the hell would you even think to lube a chain like that. LOL
  19. Im with 2/2 on this one. I would check to see is everything got seated properly. If the case might be causing an unbalance at a cirtain RPM causing the vibration only when you rev down. Recheck everything, its pretty easy to miss something when your eager to put your shee together.
  20. LOL damn Duneman. Well its not a pretty hard thing to do. It threw me off when i first did it and i explained it to a lot of people so i feel both of your frustrations. Well on the clutch its self there a nut with a phillips adjuster on there okay now thats gonna be one of your adjusters There other will be on your handles bars too. Duneman could of made it any clearer. Pay close attention to the other side of your engine theres a tab on your end of the clutch cable with a arrow. When you adjustment is on point that arrow point will match up to the casing. The manual helped me out a lot. Check it out bro
  21. You have to use the one that has LYE a chemicle called Sodium Hydroxide. You can find it at Home Depot In the plumbing section. Its the only black Container thats says Hair and Grease Drain Cleaner. Youl know which one it is, its the only black container in a plastic bag. It ran me about 8bucks.
