  1. Banshee's are still made just not able to sell them in the us. I think mexico is the closest
  2. Not jacking here but......Does a stock cdi have a timing curve buit into it or is it just run what you got. I know on my streetbike I can map it however I want as far as timing curve and so forth. I know that the aftermarket ones have a mapping capability for the banshee. Am I correct in saying that if I bought an aftermarket module that has an interface I could program the ignition curve and throw my plate away?
  3. Here is what I did: Prior to me posting I had a idea that it was the intake just too lazy to build the tester. I had used yamahabond on the reed side and the middle of the intake with no improvement. That's when I posted this. I figured yamabond would work and I tried it 3 different ways but it did not. The stuff is not as great as some lead you to believe. So after I verified the intake was indeed leaking in the middle I bought some permatex black rtv. I applied a small bead in the middle (where intake splits) and let it cure for 10 min. I then put the other half on and just snugged it lightly by hand. I let it sit for an hour and tightend the 4 screws slightly. I then bolted it back to the cylinders and torqued it down starting from the middle working out. Let it sit overnight and wala. Worked like a dream. Very important to let the rtv cure a while or the fuel coming through will just cut it right out. I also took a large piece of glass and laid a piece of sandpaper on it and resurfaced the two halves.
  4. MY THOUGHT ALSO
  5. someone correct me if i am wrong but advancing the timing does noting on the top end. It is meant for low end. I think retarded timing or 0 degrees would benifit the high rpm
  6. If you feel a lip the compression can't be right. What number did you get off each cylinder? You did use a guage didn't you?
  7. AHHHH My cap is stock. Maybe I need to gut it. Do they make a high flow vent cap with a ck valve.
  8. I believe I am running my carbs out of gas in 6th gear wot. It gets to the top and kinda surges. I know my jetting is spot on and I am currently running pwk 35s. it did the same thing with the stockers. It only does it when trying to run farther than the 1/8. Is this possiable? Could it be the ignition breaking up? I had 350 mains in the stocker carbs and I have upper 60's in the 35's. Kinda at a loss and do not want to burn it down.
  9. Offers??????
  10. Dude I am begining to thing you and not comprehending anything. You have already been told the base gasket does NOT affect compression. You don't listen and eventually people will quit helping you LOL as you say. If you are going to ask atleast try what they say. Check the compression on both sides. I think you need a 4 stroke stock something.
  11. Guys this kid is like 15 yrs old so go easy on him. (lol) I can tell you that you will not find out what is wrong by speculating dude. I know you have many post will all sorts of question. I don't think you have done anything to actually figure out what the problem is. I don't take a lot of know how to just pull the head. You will be able to tell alot. Post some pics so we can help you futher. Making post and asking questions will only get you so far, then you have to take the the next step and wrench on it or carry it to someone who can. I think I had seen on some other forums where you had asked the same questions. REMEMBER NO ONE on here can fix it via internet, and if they could they would be rich.
  12. 120.00 priority shipping
  13. Low hr banshee stock crank-150.00 OBO
  14. X's 2 on port over big bore. I have outran many bigbores with my little ole stock stroke stock bore and a full drag port. I would invest in a good port job. I would have NEVER waited so long to get a port job if I knew how much difference it made.
  15. You know you have had all kinds of problems with your bike and IMO I think you need to just take the top end apart and fix all your issues. It show you the problems and you won't be chasing all these problems. The bike was trying to tell you it was sick when you "said" you ran it out of gas but yet you herd air hissing out the head. You keep on jacking with it and not fixing the problem you will end up spending alot of money. I know you said you were like 15 yrs old so you may as well learn now how to fix it if you are going to keep it.
  16. 420, do those still use the boost bottle? I hate to give up that 15 extra horsepower(lol) but I was thinking of trying to get away from it. Do u have a photo of them or are they the ones with the big ole boost bottle? Do I even need a crossover?
  17. SEA LEVEL ALSO
  18. As some of you know I have had a bad xperience with a boss billet intake (2 piece) leaking air. What type intake do yall run. I need something fo 35mm carbs and the added space to clear the clutch actuator. I have vf3 also. Did I just get a bad one or are they al like that for the most part?
  19. Ok upon checking the size one more time It could be a 58 but can't tell for sure cause of the tarnish and the main looks like it is in fact 168. These jets came out of an older jet kit and have turned colors and hard to read. But i swear the pilot looks like a 56 but i guess that could be an eight. Runs great plug chop was good. I'm running 100ll fuel if that matters but wouldn't think so. I'm leaving it alone.
  20. I'm in the process of doing an R1 in a 450r frame
  21. sounds like the ball and push rod has welded together. You need to try to pull it all out and then put a pancake/pusher bearing mod on it.
  22. how do you bore one to 400? I want to know
  23. have you blown it up?
  24. ck for an airleak
