  1. Also see if he may have the mate too it. If you could get the matched pair would be great. Like the guy said you can get into alot of problems trying to take a short cut. Listen to what he said about the cheapest isnt always least expensive. Some peoples ides of good is different than others. Any cylinder that is a used one need to be checked for alot of things. It may "look" good but be out of round. Like he said if you do but it have it ck. If you look on here or give a shout in the shout box you may find someone on here can hook you up. I just sold a set of running stock bore matched piston jugs yesturday for 150.00
  2. here ya go they may not have been dumb Permatex
  3. oh and i like to have proof as to what i say here ya go Yamabond 4 Motorsports Yamabond 4 Motorsports is a silicone-based liquid gasket that fills gaps on a flange surface and prevents leaks. When cured, this product forms a rubber-like body that resists heat and seals joints subjected to high temperature. Gear- and engine-oil resistant, Yamabond 4 Motorsports sets in 60 minutes. Not for use on copper or copper-based alloys. Yamabond 4 Motorsports, 3 oz. Tube (Dealer Order Qty.=1) ACC-BOND4-MC-00
  4. First I'm not being an ass but it amazes me stuff people say without knowledge. Yamabond is a silicone base sealant. DUH It is MADE IN JAPAN hence it is cheaoer there!!!! DUH Why don't you leave those great stock pipes on that banshee? They cost more if you buy them new than cpi's HUH There are plenty of rtv's and silicones that work fine for the cases but dont get the idea that 3 bond or yamabond isn't silicone because it is. It cost more here because it has to be imported. Use what ever you want because the beauty of it is it is yours. Do some research by googling and come to your own conclusion as someone will always dissagree. Thats nature.
  5. k thats what i needed to know......
  6. i need to know what width rim to run wit a scooter tire (100 89 10) for the front of my shee
  7. yep thats my opinion rings could be a distorted cylinder from running it through the watter. Hot motors and cold water don't mix too well
  8. thats all it is you just haven't blown it out yet. It wil be aight. They tend to load up when just idling.
  9. what premix oil are you using?
  10. when the new gasket was put on it prob was not torqued properly. You have to recheck it after a few heat cycles. Be sure and torqe the new one and make sure you use the correct pattern.
  11. it kinda sounds like a blown head gasket but no way to tell without pulling it
  12. i don't care when you had it put on you are gone have to pull it and look inside. Unless you have xray vission. TAKE IT OFF
  13. did you ever pull the head? You can not diagnoise something without looking into it a little. Did you do all the things mentioned this morn? Pull the head and look and see if it blew. Then find out y
  14. lyer BS it is word for word dude. How can that be? I don't understand y people have to lye about what they got. sound like them fishing stories ya here but never see the fish> this is what puts bad taste in peoples mouth
  15. oh my i missed the 200 mains wow that seems really lean
  16. you may also ck ur reeds and the gaskets around them for air leaks
  17. first off the crank throws are susposed to be blued from the heat applied when putting them together, second the carbs may be running out of fuel, a banshee or any other wheeler for that matter i not designed to do long wheelies. the carbs are not level and in a vertical or near position the floats are prob closing
  18. pull the needle valve seat and see if it has an oring on it if so replace it. I don't know if the pwk have oring on em
  19. you will prob find the rings are worn from the coal water. Not likley ti bent the rods but not impossiable. To see if it is the rings put a teaspoon or two of oil in each cylinder and c if the compression comes up. if so it is the rings. good luck
  20. you can buy one cheaper than rebuilding it. You can not true and balance it without special tools and stands. It just isn't cost effective.
  21. yes that is what cases are put together with. Yamabond or something of equal. Black rtv will work fine.
  22. thats what you use when mating cases together. Like it has been said black is most common. I try to use yamabond when i can. It cleans up easier. If you have a Kubota dealer nearby they have the best sealant. The japaneese believe in sealant and few gaskets due to the tight mating surface. The key to it all is do NOT go overboard with any sealant. What you see squeeze outside also squeezes inside and can create issuses stopping stuff up, more so on a 4 stroker.
  23. Hey Tony, Will the parts go out by Saturday?
