  1. most aftermarket carbs have individual chokes i think.
  2. ck the ring end gap and let us know what it is. Is it a good guage?
  3. alky will evaporate if you leave the plugs out but remember it will rust in a matter of minutes. just kick it through with plugs out.
  4. IF IT IS A ROUND BALL it goes in with the clutch pushrod. The pancake bearing kinda acts like a throw out bearing in vehicle with a manual tranny. It prevents that ball from welding itself to the rod.
  5. tony. this is really worring me. I have sent you 1100 for 2 sets of cylinders, noss head stroker pistons 35 pwks intakes airfilters spacer plate throttle cables and i am really wanting it not to mention going broke. Please let me know something bro.
  6. Tony, I was just checking to see if you knew a ship date maybe. I have called several times with no luck. I am kinda worried. Please let me know something
  7. First off you have determined you have spark and fire. That universal 2 cycl oil is nasty yukky stuff but will not cause fatal harm to the engine. I would not use it or reccomend using it unless an emergency. When you try to start it have you pulled the plugs to see if they are wet with gas? Is the spark blue or yellow/white? If the plugs are wet remove both of them and kick engine over several time with gas OFF. Then let it sit a while. Put the plugs in and turn the gas on for say 10 seconds. Turn gas back off. (this will let you know if the needle valves are sticking or bad seat orings) then try to start it. You may need to use new plugs again because if they were really wet they may or may not work again. IF it cranks turn gas on and see if engine starts flooding.
  8. where is the best place to get one and how much $$$$ also can i ride normal with an overide when not racing?
  9. so does this mean i don't need to run it with stock tranny
  10. Ok guys I am in the process of building a 4mill with herrs full drag port. Never had or rode a 4mill before so really don't know what to expect. Can I run a lock up on a stock transmission? It has only the shift star mod, atf fluid, pancake brg and cleaned up the drum a little but nothing else. Do I need a lock up ( i run asphalt drag) and other than a cover what do I need? Will a stock clutch hold a 4 mill? I do have a steel carrier not aluminum. Thanks
  11. do you thing the carbs and jugs will ship this week? just trying to make plans
  12. bump need this stuff gone. will sell the whole top end for 600.00 plus shipping. thats pistons, (full drag port)cylinders and head.
  13. Can someone enlighten me on what and where to get parts for a purge kit for alky. Thanks
  14. what domes cc are you running with your setup
  15. never hurt to try.......
  16. here goes my two cent worth. Fisrt the rz pipes go under the bike i think and the engine is on a tilt so if the condition is right the cylinders will fill up and the pipes and never come out the overflow. My banshee has done the same thing filling th pipes and never coming out the overflow. Here is what I found after pulling carbs so many times i could do it blindly setting floats and cleaning I founf that the rubber oring that goes on the brass seat in the carb was cut on both carbs. The petcock would leak ever so slightly over a long period it would just fill the motor up. If you look closely the side overflow tubes or vents are higher than the intake and exaust port and if the lower tube (hose coming out the bottom) is stopped up the fuel is going where ever it can. good luck and i guaretee you these guys on here will figure it out. They are great!!!
  17. FYI low compression also causes low vaccuum which translates into not pulling fuel in like it should hence holding you hand over the carb makes it pull. Do like they said and ck compression and leak down. Post the actual numbers. That will help these folks help you.
  18. Thanks thats the kinda info I was needing. I thought the ratio would be better on a long rod. I believe I will go with the hotrods crank. Thanls
  19. Ok need all the help one can get. What is the best crank for the buck? (4mm) I was hung between weisco and hotrods. Was leaning towards hotrods because I was "told" it came trued and welded and wiesco's was not welded. Then I had saw a vito crank that uses standard pistons. That sounds good to me but......... You guys have the experience let me know.
  20. Oil residue left over inside the cylinders will cause it to read really high. Like an oil with alot of castor will leave a heavier film than say yamalube 2r. Had it happen to me. went from 185 on new to 215 a week later. pulled the head and noticed the oil film. Cleaned it and rechecked it and wala back to 185
