  4. this is not so....i tested this very thing a few weeks ago i took the squish down from .052 to .040 and compression went up from 185 to 209 NOTHING else changed except squish !!!
  5. ok does it matter the length of the lines running from the bowls to power jets when runnning alky ?....should they be short as possible or ??? also what does a long pulse line(vacume line) from the fuel pump do over a short line ?
  6. sound like i need to send you a set of cubs cylinders to get me roll'in !!! we only pavement race 1/8mile
  7. i have tons of gears and shafts from this guys hackjob tranny work from customers bikes and i can post pictures if you like being that he marks all his gears and shafts with dates and serial numbers. he thinks hes the only one who can cut a tranny
  8. any pictures of a alky dome vs standard ? i have many different domes but im not sure what a (ALKY) dome looks like. i also notice that when the exhaust timing is higher that 200 the compression needs to be high also to get it to rev clean and pull really strong i have a cub with 204 ex and 210psi that runs high 5's in 1/8mile but when i dropped the compression..(165psi) the ET when up in the 6's...could it be that when the ex timing is high the compression also needs to be high ???
  9. is there a point to where you LOSE power if the exhaust is taking to high? i know of a stock cylinder 4mil on alky running 208 ex/135 trans and it runs HARD!!! im not sure i want to take a cub that high most say to leave trans at 130 but thats stock on a cub so that cant be the best power numbers on the trans
  10. 7mm and 10mm
  11. and these people are about $100 cheaper than M T http://www.langcourt.com/page6.html
  12. whats the max duration used on a 1/8nike drag CUB motor ? 198/134 200/132 204/130 some say 196-197 128-130 but thats pretty stock, might as well not even port it for that
  13. just add alittle more weld to the pin and your good !!!
  14. .
  15. agreed...ALL hotrod cranks that i have installed had gray webs and rod with either blue or red o-rings on the bearing all those black web cranks are the same....and i can prove it...just dont want to call out some of the companys. that one the guy paid $850 is identical to the $395 TDR CRANK and for $850 he got to make 10 passes on it before the weld broke and web cracked and when i called the guy he wanted to charge me $350 to fix i,so i sent it to another builder to look at and he said to him it looked to be a defect in the material and it cost around $330 to fix so owner just decided to buy a new TDR crank. i think after a while TDR will be to number 1 Crank seller once more people realize there spending more elsewhere for the same type of crank only diference you will find is some builders weld the cranks better and some comes with a TZ BEARING which is something i would not run anymore so !
  16. I Have a BRANDNEW TDR $400 crank i can put next to this $800 ONE and you will see that there the same cranks i know companys have to make money but ?!?!?!
  17. this one was $800+ weld broke and hair line crack after 3 months
  18. remember all the talk about how vito cranks were junk....well i ve seen ALL of them break welds, and seen two crack right on top of the pin even seen a billet one crack....only one that i have NOT seen any trouble from was a twister crank AND the billet ones are famous!!!! for welding the flywheel to the crank got a billet 7mill that i had to weld the flywheel puller to the flywheel to get the damn flywheel off !! if i need to buy another crank or a customer wants one im sending them to TDR because you get a crank of the same Q for a better price
  19. well i'll tell you this i have install ALOT of cranks 4-10mil...one 16mil AND ALL of them except HOTROD CRANKS look just like that AND guess what ?? some was $400 some was $500 some was $600 and one company charged $800 BUT THEY ALL LOOKED JUST LIKE THAT ONE. i think there all the same crank some just charging more for the same thing.....rip off when you really think about it
  20. it shouldn't !! because the loaded version is the correct one thats what your motor will be making when riding
  21. you got a pic of the bottle ? they sell redline oils down here but it says nothing on the bottle about alky
  22. I was using benol...always thought that was the best
  23. Not a opinion...a FACT I have cut three overrides that i did NOT cut these splines out and it shift perfectly fine...i think cuttting these out causes the dogs to SLAM into the splines harder and causing the dogs to break off...as long as the drum is cut right and dogs cut on a 45 degree it WILL shift fine.....HBT !
  24. so if i use this and my engine seizes you will cover the cost of the rebuild ?right?
