  1. Actually probably easiest of all ATV/motorcycles as the cases split horizontally, you can acess the trans and never pull the cylinders. Everything stays right in the case where it's supposed to be.
  2. http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=133650 wireing diagram
  3. Either buy a Clymers manual or find the download manual around here and bust out the wrenches. Start by pulling clutch cover. These things are very simple really. If you know which end of a hammer to grab you're good to go. If you get stuck on something, just ask. BTW, Welcome to BHQ!!
  4. Might have been a Loctite "brand" of sealant. But your description of what he did sounds a little sketchy, his name isn't by chance Ben Dover is it?
  5. In the time since it blew you could have put it back together. Does A Hills in your profile refer to Auburn Hills, MI?
  6. http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=85165&st=0 Don't know what all is in here, but might help you some.
  7. Is mainje washer still on, might be stuck from gunk. Tap it out with something soft, like small wooden dowel
  8. Emulsion tube is held in by main jet.
  9. Top right of page where it says "Mild to Wild" Will linc you to the sponser page. Pick your poison. Depending on how much you want to do you also have to "budget" for extras that you might need. List is almost endless.
  10. Plugs don't look bad for two hours riding. You're saying tha if say you're rolling along say 2nd gear, stab throttle and about 7,000 rpm it gets flat spot?
  11. Look around, far greater choices in 9' than 10"
  12. T3 only fit J-arm bikes
  13. What are your plans for your build? Will you need that last 1/4 HP? (or less) As to the double posts I've seen the phone excuess at least once. It don't matter to me but others may appreciate either fixing your phone or using a computer.
  14. His & Hers sweet BTW, welcome to BHQ
  15. Screwdrivers, jets, knowledge. More info on what you're trying to accomplish while get a better answer.
  16. I luckily caught bad boots before they actually ripped. I just plugged the holes with some PVC caps sealed with 3 bond and clamp. Doing the idle screws is super simple, should even be a how-to around here somewhere. Worse case take them to a machine shop with the instructions. It makes life far simpler without the bricks on top of carbs.
  17. I've read most if not all of this and IIRC, Banshee spindles put the ball joints at a bad angle. As to the 08+ parts I have no clue.
  18. Choke crossover tube on? Float bowl with "BB" on front goes on left carb.
  19. Well you have the possibility of bad crank seal covered, check that you don't have any burrs/nicks on the case surfaces and you should be good to go. Good luke and keep us posted.
  20. Either you blew clutch basket or kicker idle gear blew taking out clutch basket. Pull clutch cover and take a look.
  21. Didn't by chance do a leakdown before tearing it apart did you? Which side is melted? Pics would help. Do a compression test? Could either been an air leak or plugged jets in carb melting it down. Clean the carbs, petcock, and flush tank before start-up. If they are stock carbs clean one at a time as they have different parts in them. If you didn't do a leakdown consider throwing head back on even if you have to use some sealer to rule out leaks at gaskets or crank seals, or case leak, JMHO.
  22. Welcome to BHQ !! All questions answered free. Correct answers cost more. There is a download manual somewhere around here or pick up a Clymers repair manual. Start by draining trans fluid, probably needs changing anyhow. Drain coolant, remove clutch cover and search for broken pieces. Did it stop while you were riding?? Or you went to start it and kicker won't work. Try to include as many details as possible when asking a question.
  23. Hell my son only paid 35 for some Gold Signature Series with cans, pretty rough but no dents. Can of VHT and look good, bit of prep work tho
  24. http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=99361 Search or manually search this thread to find a simular set-up. I would think more than one size larger would be necessary going from stockers to ported. Always start rich and work your way down.
  25. http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=99361 Try searching this thread for a set-up simular to what you have, might have to MANUALLY scroll thru it. That's what I did and I was spot on when I fired it up. Sorry I can't help whole lot with your carbs. With the weather right now I would start at 155 main or so. I wouldn't bother wasting time with stockers if you're getting fatties. Son has Gold Signature series, simular to fatties, 310 main on unported 4mill @ 70. Remember ALWAYS start rich and work your way down. I have figured a "very rough" conversion formula, Mikuni mains are 2x size of Kehins and pilots are 1/2 of Kehins. X-2 on you still may be overcarbed for your set-up
