  1. 1. Ditch the bottle. 2. Do you know how to "read" plugs or plug chop? 3. What needle clip you at? 4. Lid on? Snorkel? Being on the slightly rich side allows allows a safety factor. Should end up at 290/300. No one can tell exactly what you need. If this 'shee is new to you a comp test and leakdown test wouldn't hurt either.
  2. sure it's only 9 beers down?
  3. Don't bore any more than needed. Nothing extra to be gained. If 64.5 cleans it up, you're good to go. Have cyl measured, buy pistons, bore/hone to size. Bore size doesn't change octain needed.
  4. Somewhere on here is a download manual that has the specs. What have you done or checked?
  5. File, sand, grind any sharpe edges off
  6. Wrapping wires doesn't make the cdi fail. Must have somehow pulled awire loose while wrapping
  7. Dick Measuring Dyno Daze
  8. Good Job!! These are actually very simple machines. Get a Clymers manual and there will be nothing you can"t do. Tho sometimes you have to sort the BS out on here
  9. T hrottle O ver ride R etarded S hit 1000% guarenteed to fail, fuck-up, or cause hair loss
  10. He had a baby, not an anchor. Vid of running EFI Bangshee is only proof needed
  11. How do you know replaced parts were bad? Did you use new OEM parts?
  12. Did it run before top end? Disco TORS brain on left frame by tank, throw away. Somewhere on here should be able to find values for stator test. Even if you have to use Google + BHQ, because the search function still sucks here. Make sure ALL connections are clean & tight, consider dielectric grease on them. Clean ground at coil, or better yet add ground from coil back to engine.
  13. List all you have checked, and how, so far. Does it still have TORS or parking brake?
  14. That process works good, bit slow though. Don't know what it would do to the polished gear surfaces. What about soda, glass, or walnut shell blasting?
  15. It will take longer to get it to a "shop" than to replace a stator. Plus you'll wait a week or two for the job to get done. $20 for a flywheel puller.
  16. Did you soak carbs, just a quick douche and call it good?
  17. Never assume anything. Pull flwheel, clean any rust off stator poles and timing nubs. IF everything ohms out, check all connections are clean and tight (might as well add dielectric grease). Check all grounds, consider running a ground wire from coil back to engine. Trim 1/4" from plug wires. Be sure to set pick coil gap at both nubs. Please post results.
  18. And 27.5 pilot jet
  19. Have you measured this arm and a stock arm? Pivot to shock mount. If not right ask "friend" for money back
  20. How did it run before it took a bath? Have you changed anything while fucking with it? Is the air filter dry of ALL water?
  21. Did it do this when you bought it? While you have the carbs apart for a good cleaning, write the jet sizes down. Is the snorkel or air box lid on?
  22. Blipping throttle is ok during warm-up, but cyl should be warm to touch before WFO
  23. set float level while apart. Don't forget choke tube between carbs.
