  1. http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=99361 Look thru this thread for simular set-ups also. As to the recomondation on 260s, I have 250 with just K&N lid on , stock pipes. As to the poster, he has about .85 posts per year, so you do the math.
  2. Your talking air screw? If one is at 12 o'clock and the other at 1 o'clock when fully seated thats fine, just turn each out even amounts.
  3. Thought that would have been the first thing you two would have done .
  4. Might not be a smoking deal but don't think he got hurt. As far as displacement I have no clue. Looks good tho. Have you raced him yet?
  5. Now I know why you got that pipe, lol. Anything is better than stock. Got a set of FMF Gold signatures for $35 , nothing else much done to motor so it should be good enough for now.
  6. Just be sure to clean area good, brake clean, mineral spirits, maybe scuff it with scotch brite pad or sand paper. As to "Gurus", don't know if they have chimed in yet.
  7. I'm with you Hard Luck. In a perfect world it"s a different story. As the title said " Temp Fix". Obviously a rotten ass boot can't be fixed , but one with minor cracking as in my case I'm satisfied with the repair. If you use any silicon be sure it"s gasoline safe. So being we are in an imperfect world maybe cam could send us both some "new" boots and we could send him our old to cut up 'cause I don't have a band saw either.
  8. Do them one at a time because they are different. Part specific.
  9. My son's were cracking from the boost bottle, got plugs for the holes and gooped them in with 3 bond.
  10. Check stator cover isn't full of water. Check ALL wireing, switches, grounds.
  11. Check pick-up coil gap. On my son's 'shee I had to clean the poles on the stator of rust to clear up a misfire. How are your plugs? Gap correct? might want to try working with jetting. One size up main, needle one notch richer. JMHO,your results may vary.
  12. Look to see if it has a parking brake switch.
  13. Just funnin with you man. A 'Shee should be faster. Only 250 I rode was 15 years ago, had what the owner called a "Whale" pipe on it. Thing was fricking HUGE. Riped good though. Have to do a lot to make a shee handle as good . Just to even it up you can laugh at my son's set-up. Unported 4mil long rod , no porting, 2mm head gasket instead of spacer plates. Stock pipes till weather warms up. Maybe port it next winter.
  14. I think they actually go up to 500. What do plugs look like? How is it running? Why do you think it's lean? X-2 on leak down.
  15. If it were me I would pull the head and see if there is rust in the cyls. You might be able to save the pistons from having rust ground into them IF you look before you actually turn it over. At least peek into ex ports , one or the other pistons should be down far enough to see into cyls. I would worry about this before I cranked it over. You can mention the builders name, he did nothing wrong !! Might be time to get a Clymers manual. JMHO, your results may vary.
  16. A banshee with a 2:1 pipe ready to blow up probably wouldn't be very impressive.
  17. Most e brakes are POS here in rust belt. I'm thinking thats why my son has no rear brakes now. E brake slides, then it doesn't release completly. Thinking how most are set up could probably remove the arm also. Just have to look at how it all works together.
  18. More than likely shocks are toast. JMHO, your results may and will vary.
  19. As of last night his C.L. add was still up. Search central Mi. , or Lansing.
  20. Not knowing how the set up is , I would say just unhook the cable inside the drum. More than likely would have to leave the actuator arm. How soon are you going to do it , because I could go on the Ranger Station and post the question for you.
  21. Be sure to use the proper flywheel puller wether you go adjustable plate or modd your stock (free). It's called a Banshee flywheel puller , not 2-3 jaw gear puller, fyi. Less than $20. Sticky for doing this is at top of this section.
  22. Congrats !! Gee, they don't have College wrestling ? lol.
  23. Thought you dropped of the planet AK.
  24. I'll go check them out. Thanks.
  25. 99.99% of every new member comes on with simular problems and some one has to post a simular reply. May be if a new member had to see an example of search function it might help. I don't know about anyone else, but most searches I've done I usually get 200 hits, maybe that's the problem, to much to read. By searching and reading I have a good idea where to start with my jetting, It's an inexact process and no one could tell me exactly anyways. I have read almost every thread on A&J arms , shocks and have made a decision on which way to go. It's the entitlement brain set. I want my answer and I want it now. I don't want to work for it. Even with a sticky with a complete diagnosis layout 50%, at least, would not read it. And if you linced people to it they would call you a dick because they had to work for an answer. Rant over.
