  1. You should just be able to adjust the idle screws on the carbs if the tors is removed. Use photobucket to load pics on here. You may have to down size them a bit
  2. X2, that's the one I run. Its a cascade modded star that they carry. If you are looking for a stock one, I still have mine that is not modded.
  3. The most affordable thing would be getting your stock rear shock set up for your longer swingarm and weight. Hit up Matt with So Cal Suspension Systems.....only guy to go through for suspension stuff IMO. http://www.socalsuspensionsystems.com/ His name on here is MattSCESC
  4. Hows the jetting? It could be running lean
  5. 100 is hott as hell, but definitely ridable IMO. LS here is suppose to be like 75
  6. Welcome to BHQ! Ask alot of questions. IMHO A good owner will know every little thing about the bike. Every mod, rebuild, part, jets, and anything on the bike. If you have a compression tester, I would check that while your there. Unfortunately if its a 98, there could be a good chance that this bike has had more than one owner, and it could have things on there one owner forgot to tell the next. In that case, you'll start learning as you go. Post some pics of the bike!
  7. Welcome to BHQ! X2 with Savage, $3200 and you'd be set....but I'd plan on him only taking $3400-$3500. I picked up my pretty much new 06SE two years ago for $4000, but the guy was asking $4500.
  8. Hell yeah! Top notch site and the best sponsors in the biz
  9. Wonder what it looks like
  10. Thats awesome!
  11. Spend $99 and get free shipping too
  12. Tim can build you any length, and he has all sorts of options on styles. He has some of the best stuff in the biz... Once you go to the round house carrier, you'll never go back. http://www.stellarmachineandperformance.com/ If you decide you just want another stock swing arm, I have an almost new on off my 06 I'll sell you. Just PM me.
  13. I've found that most bikes out at this elevation don't like the 27.5 pilots. Also most bikes out here seem to run best with the needles second notch from the blunt end(top). To give you an idea I run 310 mains, 25 pilots, needles second notch from blunt end, air screws 1 1/2 out. In the middle of the summer the 310's are even a tad rich, but I like running a little richer than too lean. I have a stock stroke, aggressive dune port, CPI's, vforce3's, k&n pods, +4 timing, 19cc domes....etc. Have to looked at your plugs? I would put 25 pilots in, and move your needle. I don't have any experience with t-5's, everyone I ride with up here pretty much runs CPI's. My guess would be your running rich though.
  14. Yeah cool head is always a great option. At sea level I would run 21cc domes on pump gas. Noss or Chariot are great heads. I run a Noss head from Wildcard Racing
  15. I personally think 3K might be a tad much for a 99. But thats just my opinion. I picked up my almost new 06SE two years ago for 4K.
  16. I don't think you could go wrong either way. They are both great pipes and both pull hard on top. I run CPI inframes on my duner and I like them. And CPI is local to me.
  17. Yeah this sounds like a pain. When I took my stuff apart on mine everything slid apart like butter....i guess it helps being that its an 06.
  18. Thought I'd bump this back up top. I ordered some stuff from Jerry and he went out of his way to adjust my order to exactly what I needed. Company's who do business like Chariot will make customers for life! Great guy to deal with and top notch products -Zach
  19. X2, that makes a HUGE difference. I've lost 55lbs since last summer, I'm excited to ride now
