  1. 11 years...Not bad at all . My brother has a 2000 thats still on the factory top end, barley starting to lose compression.
  2. Have you talked to Brandon about tuning those carbs...He should be able to get you pretty close. Looks like he did your porting, and I know he recommend's Mikuni's.
  3. Does it get better when you go clockwise or counter clockwise on the air screws? Clockwise is richer, counter clockwise is leaner.
  4. Heres a good read on jetting as well: http://www.dfn.com/agservices/jetfaq.html
  5. You need to adjust your pilots and or air screws. Needles have most affect between 1/2 to 3/4 throttle. Mains have most affect between 3/4 to WFO.
  6. If your not running 165-170 compression....don't waste your money.
  7. X2 any site sponsor on here will do great work, its just personal opinion on which on to use. I run Wildcard Racing aggressive dune porting on my cylinders and I couldn't be happier. Call Brandon or Shay, great people and great work
  8. Looks like some fun
  9. Welcome to BHQ!
  10. X2 on checking the compression. I also have great luck with Klotz R-50 at 40:1, and Klotz Flexdrive in the tranny.
  11. Looks like I'll just order another one. Good thing they aren't too expensive
  12. These hoses are top notch and well worth the price. Get yourself a set while they last......BUMP
  13. Great Seller and awesome guy to deal with. Don't hesitate to buy from Josh!
  14. Ouch man. I really should start wearing a helmet
  15. Yeah thats what mine did. Got moisture in where the needle is, then seemed to go away....but now the reading is WAY off. I'm debating on just getting a new one or putting the stock cap back on.
  16. Exactly. And if your doing a shift star, you might as well do your pancake bearing while its right there. I got mine from Brandon at Wildcard.....for 40 bucks its worth the piece of mind. I've heard its an expensive fix it the stocker welds itself. What about a Chariot billet impeller? still running a stocker?
  17. Any site sponsor on here will do an awesome job porting, its all personal preference. Wildcard, Fast, HJR, Redline, M&M......etc. We have great sponsors here. I run a Wildcard aggressive dune port on my stock stroke, and I can personally say Brandon is a perfectionist and his work is top notch.
  18. Welcome to BHQ! There is alot of good reading and learning on here. If you have a compression tester I would recommend checking it while your looking at the bike. Ask the owner if its ever been rebuilt, and how many times. Look for any noticeable bends or cracks on the frame. In my opinion, the more the seller knows about the bike the better. If the seller has no idea whats been done to the bike, and can't even tell you what jetting it likes.....thats not a good sign. If I buy a used banshee I prefer a one owner machine. Like toytech said, use good premix oil...everyone has there own preference. I run Klotz R-50. Post some pics when you pick her up
  19. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MRG-2471S/ I've had one of these for about one year now. At first it worked pretty well. Now even when my bike has sat for days and is bone cold the cap says 140 degrees and wont go down any lower .........Anyone have any issues with there cap? I know guys are running these, but I wonder if the quality kinda sucks?!? -Zach
  20. I would drop your mains 1-2 sizes and go from there. Here at 5000ft most bikes like the needle second notch from the blunt end. You should be pretty close at 260-270 mains, needles on middle or second from top, and leave your 25 pilots in.
  21. If it doesn't have one already, I would add a pancake bearing to your list.
  22. JD makes some sick custom mounts. http://www.jdscustoms.com/Yamaha_Banshee_ORV_Brackets.htm
  23. My ported 350 runs great with CPI's. I ride 100% dunes and have always owned CPI's.
  24. I like stock gearing, but thats all personal preference. The only other thing I suggest doing is getting your crank trued and welded. In my opinion the piece of mind is worth alot.
