  1. Do you mean more smoke or more air pressure
  2. Heres an honest answer. You will like the raptor 700. It will ride like a cadillac. The newer the better. i test rode a 2010 raptor 700 and it was probably the moet comfortable plush ride i have ever had.
  3. You paid a lot of money for a non functional kit. It would get sent straight back if it was me. Looks mig welded to me. I had a crank tigwelded by passion racing and the weld was almost totaly flush. They used way to much wire, you can see where the weld was actualy starting to cold over lap and not penetrate towards the end. Im willing to bet that there is twice as much metal just laying on top of the crank than there is actualy penetrated. I would not grind it down and risk getting junk in any of your brand new bearings, you could probably pull it off but i wouldnt. With welding you are taking metal out and putting metal in,if you do a good flush job, your not going to change the weight that much. With a lot of excess weld you are adding a LOT of access weight. To some that weld might not look like it adds much, but take into consideration it only takes a tiny little weight to balance a whole damn car wheel, let along a small crank.
  4. Coolhead with racegas domes/+4timing/pro circuit or fmf gnarly pipes/good quality reeds like boyesen,i would say vforce but i wouldnt put down 2-300 for reeds. I personaly would also run a 33-35mm single carb, but lots of people disagree on that.
  5. Man be careful, test it gradually and keep checking for cracks.
  6. I fixed a 1 inch hole in a banshee case where the small gear on the clutch basket exploded and went through the bottom with jb quick 3 years ago still holds today.
  7. Stock brakes work ok,but switch back and forth between a yfz and a banshee and you will see the difference. I especially noticed a big improvement on long downhills, the yfz grabs harder with easier pull. In situations where you are going from high speeds to a stop you dont notice much because any old brake thats setup correctly will lock up. YFZ brakes are more effective through the whole range. One of the big parts of having performance brakes is that they will work well without locking up until you need them to. I would do the master though along with the calipers. Honda 450r brakes are even better,my bud has an 07 450r with braided lines and the front brakes are insanely good.
  8. You know your completely right, everyone should start doing that instead of posting, and maybe someday,if we work real hard,we may be able to get rid of all the web traffic on here. I guess that would make this site worth 0$,but hey at least there wouldnt be easy questions!
  9. Maybe your guys elevation makes a huge difference but if i ran my banshee here at 800ft elevation with 18 or 19cc domes and 90 octane the motor might just explode with detonation.
  10. If you run 110 in a motor thats built for 93 not only will you not see a power improvement, you will probably see a power loss.
  11. Complete transmission,shift forks,fork rails,shift drum,the little arm and spring that go against the drum,shift drum retainer,shift shaft,shift shaft adjuster post. I also have a complete clutch,inner/outer hub,pressure plate,clutch discs,pushrod,ball bearing,and pressure plate adjuster,and the actuator for 50$ 100$ obo
  12. 2:1 carb kits are the first mods i install on a banshee,i trail ride almost exclusively though. I love the way they deliver power and simplify jetting and tuning. I have never really cared wether 1 setup pushes more HP when its strapped down to a machine in a garage,i always Judged a product by how much I enjoy riding it. One of my banshees ran a single 33 and fmf gnarlys, the other ran a single 36 and fmf fattys,i loved both setups. If you like two carbs run two carbs,if you like singles run a single i dont see why everyone wants to debate it. It seems like like the single carb bikes rev faster too,and hit a little harder. Just my 2 cents
  13. Keyeser was the first pm for the crank. Zillafreak called me on the intake about 5 minutes after i posted it. Everything is gone except for the bottom end internals. There is an ownership dispute over the cases,i owe my brother in law a set and he is trying to claim these,so im going to have to hold on for a few days.Anyone who missed out I apologize. I put the stuff on here and craigs list before bed,and when i woke up i literaly had 29 messages and emails. I have the complete tranny/shifting stuff/clutch assembly/ carbs still. Anyone interested in the trans ill include the forks, drum, fork rails, shift shaft. for 100 shipped.
  14. Giving up on my 4mil project here goes 2003 banshee complete chassis, straight clean. Does not include cdi or coil. The on/off switch light switches and key switch are indluded Very straight nice and clean, tires are worn. PLastcs are good shape, bud light graphics kit. All stock including heal guards and ill throw in the nerfs. 400 obo. Hot rods 4mil crank very low hour. Sent to passion racing, was inspected, trued and welded, has not been run since passion had it. Drop in and go 200 shipped. Power pros pipes, chrome. Chrome is in great shape,no dents no dings. Something dripped on the inside of the two headpipes and melted, seems like it would buff off with some elbow grease,i have never tried because you cant really see it when they are mounted. Silencers are in good shape also no dents or dings, pipes are ready to bolt on and go! 200 shipped. 66mm cylinders unported ready to use. I sent these to be bored out,but after measuring he said they did not need bored only honed,so he honed them and they are ready for pistons and ready to go. 100 shipped. 2 stock carbs with tors delete system and twist throttle. Throttle tube is in good shape. The little rubber cover for the cable adjustment has a rip in it but works fine. Cable included. 50$ plus shipping. Motofast 2:1 intake manifold and 34mm pj carb. This is actualy the kit motofast used to sell with a 40mm lectron, but i dont have the lectron, the airbox mount is for the lectron and does not work with the 34pj. The carb is missing the little bar that holds the floats in (easy to find),and it will probably need a cap(still has the old250r cap on it) 75$ shipped Engine cases no breaks or chain damage, just need cleaned up 75$ shipped. Good complete tranny shafts/gears/forks/drum,shifting mech, and fork rails 100$ shipped.
  15. There was a guy at my county fair that had an 01 yamaha r1 motor in a modified and stretched cannondale cannibal frame. It was pretty quick but he got beat by two different 7mil banshees.
  16. I had to do the same thing. This used to be a pretty common thing. Amstarmanufacturing (ASR) also sells these ball joints. The cool thing about asr is a lot of the old aftermarket a arms have oversized ball joints where you had to reem your spindles, but the asr ball joints have a stock taper on the ball joint and 16mm threads.
  17. I would mount it where the factory keyswitch is somehow
  18. The only time i would weld a crank is if i was putting on an extra big boost bottle
  19. I wouldnt tear it down and weld but thats just me. Our 06 has been running around 160 psi for three years,we run 2 gallons of turbo blue with 3 gallons of 93 octane, mixed in a 5 gallon can of course. WE have been running the hell out of it for 3 years now on the stock crank---maybe were just lucky
  20. hey should slide to the lef and ride some, but not up and down
  21. I actualy ran a stock port 4mil for a while cause an ebay dealer sent me the wrong crank,i thought it was a good deal more powerful than a stock crank. As far as a stock stroke dune is compared to a 4mil dune, imo 4mil is a lot stronger
