  1. Mcaf... When you look at the stocker and this one side by side is there any visual difference? What is it about this drum that is supposed to be better?
  2. You have to know your area. $3000 for a 2002 sounds good to me but if you're planning to get $2000 for the trailer and other stuff, that may not be realistic. Scan ebay or cycletrader.com and see what other quads are going for and in your area. You also need to make sure the banshee isn't beaten to death. I've seen quads a couple years old that look worse than OLD quads. So make sure you know what to look for and be ready to buy that good deal when it pops up. http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=19955
  3. The RD of the 70's and early 80's was not quite the RZ {also called RD outside the US}. You see 'em come up on ebay every once in a while. Don't lose too much sleep over it. I sold my 1984 ATC250R for $75 and I passed up a 66 Hemi Charger for $2500. Now THAT is STUPID
  4. OK here's the deal... My wife got some tickets from a friend of hers to go to Vegas to see Celine Dione. The problem is that her friends husband had to have surgery and she can't go now. SO I have to go. I've never been to Vegas but we're going to be there for a day or 2 and then fly to Sausalito CA. to visit family for a day or 2. Is there ANYTHING ATV related in those areas that I can go and do or see that will make this trip worth SOMETHING?
  5. First I've seen of it. I wish they had more to say about it other than "They're GRRRREAT". Almost expect Tony the tiger to pop his head out.
  6. I think I've seen some excerpts from that. Wasn't that written back in 79 or something? The way I look at it is this. I use a premium quality oil that I feel does not reduce my reliability at all. Because I use less oil, I can save money and polute less. Some feel an improved performance by using less oil such as less plug fouling. In my book these are good reasons to reduce the premix ratio.
  7. Best thing to do is pick a quality oil and follow the bottle instructions unless your engine is built by a shop and then follow their suggestions. I run Amsoil at 80:1 I used to run Yamalube at 40:1.
  8. First off, try a search for RZ there's already tons of stuff on the HQ about it. In short the RZ engine has the same block as the banshee so it bolts right in. It has a larger head and cooling jackets on the jugs. They also have power valves so the stock HP of the Banshee goes from 37 to 55 for the RZ. That's 50% more HP. The tranny has better shift forks and the ratios are a little different so you can swap 'em out with banshee gears to fine tune your gearing. The third advantage is that if you are looking for a complete engine, they are usually a little cheaper on ebay than banshee engines. Draw backs... you have to run a battery to operate the power valves as well as the CDI and stator and wiring can be a little difficult you also need a special fitting to convert to Banshee pipes. All in all if you're handy, it's a pretty easy transplant.
  9. Man Marc... This tragedy couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. I'm so sorry to hear about this great loss.
  10. I would never cut something I can unplug.
  11. Send me an email and I'll explain how to use your Paypal account... [email protected]
  12. You send me a twist and you'll be the first to test the prototype.
  13. There is a little black box under the radiator on by the Left fender {as you are sitting on it}. The little black box is the brain for the TORS system. By unplugging everything in the box, you won't need the switch.
  14. You're going to be running tapered bearings right?
  15. That should work. email me with a price [email protected]
  16. yep
  17. I'm still looking for one or 2 broken twists. Please send me an email [email protected]
  18. Is there a start date and what are the requirements?
  19. It's amazing how someone can make a retarded statement like this and then when asked to prove it there's NOTHING. Amsoil makes dozens of different oils and if someone simply puts "Amsoil" in the transmission it may just slip. When you select an oil for your transmission make sure of 2 things. 1- The oil does NOT have friction modifiers or is labeled as Improved Mileage. 2- The oil will work with wet clutch applications. I use tractor oil in mine. I love it. It's dirt cheap and works much better than what was in there some guys use Amsoil and some guys use 99 cent oil from Walmart. The important thing is use what you want and if it's no good, tell us and if it's great tell us. But DON'T Bash something that YOU haven't tried.
  20. Factory banshee is about 37. Don't really know about the rest. I'd imagine the blaster is around 25 but really just guessing.
  21. If you can plug it then plug it. Otherwise you can put one of those semi tire patches on it from the inside.
