  2. I stand corrected Is there such a thing as replacement basket ans drive gear with different ratios?
  3. The clutch inner hub is attached to the crank, the discs and pressure plate drive the basket, the basket drives the trans. With the clutch in {lever pulled} the hub and steel clutch discs are part of the rotational mass. Once the clutch is engaged {let out} the entire clutch including the discs and basket become rotational mass driven by the engine. A weighted pressure plate would work just like a weighted flywheel. Like having one heavy tire and one light tire on the same banshee rear axle, if you spin one, you spin the other.
  4. Email me... [email protected] I don't reply to PM's
  5. Certainly you're not saying the clutch basket isn't bolted to the crank.
  6. Easy off {NOT the cold oven formula} will take it right off. Spray it on thick and let it sit for 10 minutes and then use a 3M pad and most of it will wipe right off. It will be dull aluminum finish. If you want them polished, it's still gonna be lots of work. But the oven cleaner will take the gold off.
  7. I got out of the ATV scene in around 87 after a knee injury and then my ATC250R got wrecked. I didn't have the money to fix it and then I got married in 90. In 2000, afterhaving a good job for a while and having a close friend who is into waverunners for a while, I told him to buy an ATV so at least he could ride it 3 seasons and save the waverunners for the summer. We did a bunch of research on which ones to buy. I knew I wanted something with speed and I wanted a 2 stroke because of the ease of rebuilds when needed. {I've had dozens of bikes and trikes and there nothing worse than a 4 stroke that needs a rebuild}. I knew I didn't want a quadzilla just too hard to get parts for. I had a 250R back in the day and knew it was a good engine but I didn't want to spend retail for a 10 year old quad. So I found me a 99 banshee with T5's and some other mods for $4200. SOLD Since the summer of 2000 I've had a total of 5 banshees, 1 blaster and 2 trailblazers. I've also got 2 RZ engines in case the 95 or the 99 need a transplant. So for my money, it will ALWAYS be a Banshee
  8. The flywheel and the clutch basket always rotate at the same rate unless the clutch is disengaged. So the weighted clutch and the weighted flywheel would work the same. It's kind of like having one heavy whell and one light whell on the rear of your banshee. Second the flywheel helps maintain the smoothness of power delivery and duration of the delivery. The faster the flywheel rotates the longer it will run and the more it will resist negative draws on that power. So to use the tire analogy, the heavier tire WILL help keep your truck running in a straight line longer than a smaller tire provided the following is true... A- the weight is at the outermost part of the tire and B- the friction of the larger tire is equal to the friction of the smaller tire. It will take more power to get the tires to turn but once they are in motion, the will run longer. However more can be accomplished by having a heavier flywheel since the engine runs thru the trans and you have the advantage of the gearing to help you up the hill. I guess it does kinda come around to what you were saying... the smaller the flywheel the easier it is to turn and the quicker the revs but less duration.
  9. They are 25-13-9. They will fit banshee rims but they are taller than what you asked for. I have 2 pairs {total of 4} Send me an email of what you have for trade if you still want them... [email protected]
  10. How much for the Titans?
  11. Bring it on brudduh
  12. If you want me to take a dump in a box and mark it "guaranteed" i will, I've got time... Man I miss Farley

  15. Yeah a price on the plastic and the seat would be good. Please email me... [email protected]
  16. I don't really need any more pics. I just want to help some folks out and I've been thinking about doing something like this on ebay. So I'd like to be able to say I've done a few so I know what to expect and at the same time say I've got satisfied customers. So far everyoe loves it. I'm also trying to make a package deal with some other stuff to add to the kicker. Like a tether in case one of the screws comes out, the kicker won't get lost. I've got that on my banshee but I want to test it out for a while before I offer it to the HQ crowd.
  17. Walrat and Troyminator... your kickers are in the mail!!!
  18. I say BenBB for president. As long as he had internet porn and BHQ he would be busy and the rest of the world could rest easy knowing that the president of the US isn't gonna blow their country up Besides he laughs at my jokes. What more could I ask for
  19. Check the engine section. I just bumped an old article.
  20. I don't agree that you should go around knocking everyone on the head with a club that might threaten you. I don't agree that we NEED the rest of the world to run our country. I don't agree that the US went to Iraq to "liberate" anyone. I don't agree that I need to kick down the door to my neighbors house because I think he might be a threat to me one day. I don't agree that I or anyone I know should lose their jobs because the job is sent to another country where the labor is cheaper. I don't agree that the war that is now being fought is for the safety and security of more than a small handfull of powerful greedy Americans. I do think that if Iraq was a Snapple producing nation instead of an oil producing nation, we would never have even heard of the place. I do think that if this country was MUCH less dependant on oil, the rest of these violent desert nations would become nothing more than a footnote in history. I do think that Trillions of dollars of income and growth can be gained in this country by making a push toward alternate fuels which would acomplish 2 things... 1- Make the US the center of world technology {which it no longer is because of the pitiful education system} and 2- Make the oil producing nations less and less wealthy with poorer and poorer countries to sell to. I do think that fat cats such as the Bush family have no interest in that because they are too heavily invested in the oil industry and as mentioned above the 'destroy the world for profit' structure personified by Haliburton. I do think that the world structure of politics is set up exactly like the prostitute subculture. Your either a pimp or a ho' What ever us ho's think we're getting out of this deal, we're wrong. http://www.hoslap.net/
  21. What I'm saying is that the US is basically like one huge business. People do many different jobs from managing to engineering to manufacturing to delivering to filling the toilet paper holders and stocking the vending machines. When a CEO takes the workers from their jobs and the rest feel the threat of losing their jobs {whether the threat is real or perceived}, people begin to hold back from spending. On top of that if the CEO has a massive accident at the factory and instead of cleaning it up and protecting the rest of the employees, he goes and scares them even more that not only will they be out of work, they face danger from some unknown source. And he even goes on to say that everyone is in such danger that he can no longer focus on the threat at hand but rather has to go out and find other threats, and in effect abandons the real issues at hand. How long will that company last? Maybe 8 months. When you pull parents away from kids and spouses from each other and children from families, and workers from jobs, and send them all over the world to chase ghosts and "threats", people get dejected. Our economy is based on spending. I sincerely hope that while John or Jane Q Public are out on the front lines in some worthless desert on the other side of the world risking their lives chasing "threats", that their families back home aren't out buying new cars, TV, boats, furniture and stereo equipment. I'd be happy to pay $10 a gallon for gas if it meant that some idiot who cheated his way into office doesn't send another person to another land to fight a "threat".
  22. While I'm thinking about it, I think one of the reasons the lock up clutch system seems to work so well for hill climbs especially is because of the added weight to the rotating mass. A lightened or even stock flywheel can only provide so much rotational duration. But if you added weight to the rotating mass, the engine would tend to maintain its speed under load. The clutch system has to weigh several ounces since it consists of machined marts and bolts w/ nuts as weights to actuate the clutch lockup theory. So if you add the benefits of less slippage in the clutch {debatable since the clutch tends to slip least when the vehicle is in motion especially at high speeds} to the added rotating mass of the clutch basket {which duplicates a heavier flywheel} you can almost explain why the lock out seems to work so well. I'd be interested to compare a lightened flywheel engine with a lockout equipped engine on a flat drag on several consecutive runs and see how things stack up. I think that the lightened flywheel engine would tend to win the race because it would rev quicker which would compensate for the minor amount of slippage in the clutch. Plus in a flat drag, the loads on both engines would be consistant.
