How Many Of You Guys Use A Banshee For Trails
Holyman replied to Banshee33's topic in General Banshee Discussion
He said that because misery loves company. Some of the cheapest mods you can make is switching to a 2:1 filter to start with and ditching the stock air box. MUCH better air flow. As far as pipes go, don't just jump inot buying pipes. They are expensive especially when you buy them new and they may not fit your riding style. I ride trails but prefer higher rev pipes. I had T5's on mine and loved the mid high power delivery. Any quad can go slow but it's great to get a little open spot and REALLY show where the banshee shines out WOT I run Trinity pipes on one of my banshee's because they are a higher rev pipe and they're stainless so no rust spots. On my #2 banshee I run a Motofast 2:1 pipe which I feel has excellent power across the board and it too is stainless so a few splashes with the hose and it goes back in the garage. Alot of people will recommend a pipe but most of it is what you're used to. If you can, ride someone elses with a diff pipe and see how you like it before you go out and drop $600 on pipes. -
doltz... I sent you a reply to your PM but don't know if it went thru. Email me with a pic and price... [email protected]

Can you email me a price on the spindles, tires, rims and bumper if it's aftermarket? [email protected] -
Drain out all the gas, put in new plugs and mix to a reasonable ratio. Probably just bad gas mixed too rich. I'll send you a sample of Amsoil if you don't already use a premix that you like. And WELCOME to Banshee HQ. [email protected]

Buying new may have been an option for me but not an option that I often use. In fact the only things I have on my banshee that were bought new are a brake res cover and handle bars and a Toomey 2:1 filter. Everything else I got used. My most recent purchases are Works triple rates w/ rezzies and my Trinity Stainless pipes. I also have the MF 2:1 stainless which I got from a guy for $75 shipped. The important thing is to do your homework, know what you want and then search until you find it. Some may have a blemish here or there but if you want or need to save money, then it's worth it. I've saved hundreds of dollars on stuff that I wanted by just waiting for the right time to buy. So maybe in the mean time, you can get a jar of Naval Jelly for a few bucks and wipe the rust off while you keep a look out for what you REALLY want in the future. By the way, I had T5's on my banshee but got tired of the spots so I kept an eye out for Trinity's. It turns out one of the guys here had a set that was only used for a month. I got a great deal from him and saved money off of the "new" price. I prefer the T5's but I prefer the all year round shine on the Trinity's more

got me on that one

Do you want to sell them? If so, send me a pic... [email protected]

They're kinda rare but the MF 2:1 comes in stainless. They take a decent shine but because the pipe is a little bigger than a pair of pipes, they may be a little difficult to fit with a spark arrestor.

Get Trinity stainless or Motofast stainless. I got tired of the powdery rust too.

Here's what I said... Dear Sirs, I am writing in regard to the show you had featuring the unfortunate accident that Mr. Ozbourne recently had while operating an ATV. I would like to offer some constructive critisizm about your piece and hope that in the spirit of fairness you will meantion some of these point in one of your up coming shows. 1- The Yamaha Banshee cannot achieve the speed of 150MPH. The "expert" that made this unfounded and inflammitory statement completely destroyed the credibility of your show. The actual fact is that the vehicle that Mr. Ozbourne was riding has a top speed of less than 75 miles per hour. This can be proven by anyone who actually rides these machines and knows their potential. I invite you to do even a cursory internet search to prove this fact. May I suggest BansheeHQ.com . This is a website that is supported by enthusiasts of ATVing and specifically the Yamaha Banshee. 2- The show did not bring up any positive side of ATVing. I'd like you to consider the fact that there are millions of middle class working families that use ATVing as a way to enjoy the outdoors and spend quality time with each other. That being said, Mr Osbourne hardly fits the decription of the "average" ATV rider. Without being too derrogitory, I can hardly see that Mr. Orbourne is qualified to operate ANY motor vehicle much less an ATV which requires the rider to be in full control of all of ones faculties. ATVing like the use of any other motorized vehicle can be dangerous when not ridden appropriately. Because of Mr. Ozbournes obvious overuse of narcotics both in the past and likely in the present your show featuring Mr. Ozbourne's accident should have been prefaced with a warning that persons under the infuence of alchohol or other drugs should never operate any machinery. 3- Your story which on its face was intended as a public service warning against the use of ATV's was really little more than optomizing on a popular persons inability to drive under the influence. In the future, I respectfully suggest that you have your research team actually do some research and not rely on the kind of New York Times reporting that has recently brought them so much popularity. I would be happy to offer my services at no charge. Sincerely Dave Kaucnik

I've got a pair but they have a small dent in 'em.

I have a pair of stock blaster tires.

Give us a weight and we can figure it for you. Or you can go to UPS.com or USPS.com and figure it out for yourself.

You can't just go by the pics. I know therw are dimensions in the printed catalog so you know how high and wide the bars are and how far they pull back. I think I'm running the CR HI on my 95. And they are not nearly the same as the stock banshee bars.

Sounds like you've got a country music award coming. Make sure you name it after the dog. That has GOT to suck killing your own dog. Sorry to hear that

I've got my blown engine that probably has that stuff in [email protected]
-
It coud be a number of things. I would start by buying a Clymer manual and go thru the trouble shooting section. It coud be the clutch needs complete replacement {usually just the discs} and you'll be best off with the Clymer manual to walk you thru the repairs.

Help Me Make A Trip To Celine Dione Worth The Trip
Holyman replied to Holyman's topic in General Banshee Discussion
She already knows this is killing me. And she would never say to do this because she desrves it. We are mental twins. So I automatically give her what she wants and she does the same for me. The only thing that's out is the "titty bars" and the bunny hut or whatever. That is all the way off limits!!! -
where are you in wisconsin and how much do you want for it cash? What have you been repairing that's killing you? Please email me... [email protected]

Hook a bruthu up -
OK I've gotten a few more emails. If anyone is interested in just parts of it, let me know... [email protected] Just so we're clear on this, the engine has a hole in the bottom and the rod is stuck thru the top of the case and embedded in the intake of the right jug. I do have an upper and lower case I got off of ebay before I realized this one was so far gone. The other case has been epoxy'd but I can't remember if it's top, bottom or both.

Thanks for the tips guys. A couple things... "titty bars" are NOT gonna happen. Just no way!!! Here's what's gonna happen... Fly to L.A. and then drive to Vegas then drive to San Fransisco area and the back to L.A. for a total of 7 days. We like to drive and see stuff so anything we can see other than the "titty bars" would be appreciated. BTW there's about 50 such establishments within a half hour from here so I don't need to go to Vegas to see that. When you think about it, guys and girls ALL come with standard equipment -
You can check this link out... http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=19955 it will tell you how to check all that stuff. If it turns out your A arm bushings are loose, let me know and I can get you bearings to replace the bushings. I give HQ members a $15 discount from my ebay prices.
