  1. Is that because of the flywheel or because of other factors?
  2. Yeah you're right but the scab won't heal until you stop pickin' it
  3. I go by the eBay economy model. When Clinton was in office I sold all kinds of stuff one eBay. When lil Bush got into office I sold plenty of stuff. When the planes took down the Trade centers, I sold plenty of stuff. When Bush started his campaign against "terrorism" I sold less stuff. When Bush started his illegal war against country's that aren't worth a drop of anyone's blood, and sent as many of our working men and women away from their jobs and families to kill and be killed... THEN the economy went down the toilet. There are 10's of thousands of our friends and families dying for a cause that is questionable at best. I say bring our families home where they belong and forget what's going on over there.
  4. That's hilarious
  5. I don't vote and won't vote because I refuse to attempt to choose 1 idiot over another. How ever there are 2 things that burn me about Bush 1- He claims to be a brave man but when the planes crashed into the towers, he left a school room full of kids and disappeared like a friggin' sissy. 2- He wants to send every tax paying hard working head of a household to a sovereign country that was illegally invaded and fight to the last drop of their blood but we haven't heard anything about his drug taking, pill popping, underage drinking, slut daughters joining the forces. I think the girls have been slippin the old man some crazy pills or he's gettin' a little paranoid from the buddah smoke comin' out the ol' white house basement.
  6. I may be interested but I have no idea what something like this would go for. Shoot me an email with some idea OK? [email protected]
  7. I don't want start a circular argument here {no pun intended} but how well does the "button" flywheel perform in a trail riding situation where the engine is put under vastly varying loads in succession? Does it tend to stall easier or because of the lighter flywheel does it perform better because of the ability to rev quicker?
  8. First of all, the engine described above is not $1500. Second, you are paying $1500 for a 12HP boost in power. Third, most drag engines don't run RZ tops with the powervalves functioning because it takes too much time {remember drags are timed to a split second} to operate the electronic power valves and because you almost always start with the engine revved very high. Fourth, all you are getting from his top end kit is a port job and a cool head and the electronics. Heck I'll sell anyone with the money a pair of ported RZ jugs for $375 shipped. Take the other $1100 and buy 2 engines to put 'em on. Fifth the guy has shown no actual proof that he ever had or has this engine or even that he has ever seen one. He certainly hasn't SHOWN us that he's seen one before.
  9. Just so we know what "." is talking about and because Jmofo edited his post, here is what he said... Holyman, jamoffit has just posted a reply to a topic that you have subscribed to titled "Banshee / Yamaha Rz350 Ypvs Conversion Kit". ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Note that late model Production RZ's are already 60+ HP (documented at 63HP). Below is the formula for a race proven, very reliable 75+HP -Matched bored 38mm TZ350 Mikuni VM38SS -Modified TZ350F Ported Reed Cages with modified 6 Pedal Carbon Reeds -Custom Billet intakes with built-in cross over -85 RZ CDI, Ignition coil, Magneto/Stator Set, Lightened Flywheel & Adjustable Stator plate 5 degrees advanced Timing -High Output Race Ported RZ cylinders machined to accommodate 38mm carbs -Ceramic and Graphite coated 64mm Cast 'ART' pistons, pins, rings & cylinders -Port Matched Modified / Lifted piston skirts -Modified Pro Design Cool Head with 18cc domes -Ported Cases with RZ Shift Drum and Forks -Cryogenic treated Crank assembly with TZ big-end pins and Roller bearings & 115mm Rods: equates to 373cc Requires Cometic long rod Base Gasket -Rods have been modified with larger oil galleries -Modified Hinson Clutch assembly with a 8 plate setup fitted with a clutch center bearing conversion -RZ Tranny with Undercut gears -Jim Lomas GP Exhaust w\ Carbon silencers Countless hours invested. Requires 105+ Octane... This is a full race effort motor and only happy between 9-11500 rpm. Pushes over 75+HP and is very reliable, over 1200 race miles thus far. ASSA, ARHMA AFM and CCS Legal for Twins, slaughters SV650's. Not streetable. Have you guys ever considered using the RD400's engine, strong compact design & you can double the HP if you push the envelop. Although it is aircooled, it is the grandfather of the Banshee. I have also built complete TZ350F-H Motors with over 90+hp.
  10. I'm still waiting for a reply to any of the above pertinant questions. Or now that you claim to have sold your $1500 top end, will you be back to tell us anything other than where to get another one?
  11. I think I finally got it!!! Imagine a flywheel like a mini sled clutch. At low RPM's when you need the improved moment of inertia when your engine power output is low, the weight would be closest to the center. When the RPM's build, the weight would shift to the outer edge to sustain the higher RPM's and reduce the effects of changing engine loads. Different springs or weights could be used to ultra fine tune the flywheel for maximum benefit for very specific riding conditions. YEAHHHH. That's finally it.
  12. I live in the northen part and don't live anywhere near byron, dixon and whatever.
  13. You have got to be friggin' kiddin' me with this post Man look around a little
  14. What part of IL will you be comingback to? Should I start looking for houses for you?
  15. The cap is a computer desk hole plug that fits into a 2" hole. I peeled the graphics off of the piece I cut out and stuck it to the top of the plug. Here's one with the cap on...
  16. Since this topic belongs in the for sale section I am posting a link there and my reply is posted there... http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...pic=21740&st=0&
  17. So what's in it for us? In the last 15 years you weren't here helping us improve our banshees or giving us tips on what to look for in an RZ build out. You showed up a couple hours ago selling $1500 top ends. What does it take to get a stock RZ from 55HP to the 75 you claim to be able to produce? Milling and chambering the head and a port job? If so, how much is that gonna be? If you don't want to be a post whore then show up with a gift instead of showing up looking for a hand out. Throw us something. Most of us here know the RZ top will automatically give a 50% increase in HP over a stock banshee top. Why should we spend $1500 for your setup. Got a website to back up your 15 years of wisdom? Got pics of your shop. Got pics of your banshee? The ball is in your court man let's see what you got So far you're a telemarketer calling in the middle of dinner.
  18. your shocks are probably worn out. if all the shocks are original, his are a minimum of 5 years newer than yours. The J and A arms have the same travel since the length is the same. Get some newer used shocks and you should be good to go.
  19. And the clouds part and a chorus begins to sing  I was wondering if anyone has tried the weight reduction in the center and compared it to the one with the weight only removed from the rim. Maybe even a dyno ??? I guess we'll need to leave this up to Ron since he seems to be the only one that's brave enough to take some weight off from there.
  20. As great as all those are, there is more written and easily available about Jesus than probably any other person ever. Not tryin' to get all religious, just makin' it easy to do
  21. an 87 that's been pounded every day ain't gonna last long wide open but any maintained banshee can handle wide open til you get tired of holdin' the thumby
  22. I hate double posting but this deserves it... WOW It's really great to have you as a member of Banshee HQ. A quality member like yourself is just what we need here. Unlike other sites that are filled with people who come to post only to help with tech articles and how to's or where to ride, we here at Banshee HQ REALLY appreciate people who come here to post commercials. After all what would banshee RIDING be without commercials?!?!? I sure don't know. That's why we ALL read the magazines... so we can PAY money to a magazine that promotes the latest mod or machine as the greatest thing ever. We ALL agree that commercials is what makes the sport the great thing that it is. AGAIN WELCOME!!! You will LOVE IT here!!! By the way... do you know anyone that would want to buy the 2 complete RZ engines I bought for $600 so I can buy your top end for $1500?

  24. I made mine. I suppose I could make one up for you for about $15 or you can try it before you invest if you just take the stock bottle and zip tie it to the front. Cost for that is under $1.
  25. finally got the 3rd one
