You'll be all set without an airbox lid with the proflow adapter. Thats what i run on the trails never get water in my airbox. the box is surrounded anyways no mud gets in there.
Well there is a wide variety of pipes you can get. I like the FmF SST i have on now for the trails they come on eary have a strong mid pull. The vf2s or vf3 reeds is the way to go. I prefer a bigger countershaft sprocket 15 tooth for the trails. Pull the airbox cover off you dont really need it. I like offset front wheels, i flip the rear wheels so they are wider.
not so good in the snow. The paddles will work better but still not that good. You can ride it on the lakes. If you mean just like riding on snowmobile trails than thats not too bad but than your pissing them guys off.
The dynoport 2 into 1 pipe is a very nice pipe. If your looking for low end power than go for it. Its gonna drop your rpms a little bit but it will pull hard. I would still jet the bike for the pipe dont just throw it on and call it good you have to check that stuff out. For what you do it would be a nice pipe for you.
was it running bad before? how did the plugs look before? A buddy of mine is running t5s no lid k&n hes running a 270 main at about 300ft above sea level. im running 260s with the old setup of fmfs, vf2s, spacers, lid off with K&N.
the 4 mill is def worth the price doing mine right now. I also have a -1 swingarm im putting on. like already said if your porting is to extensive you might be fd. Im .060 over puts me at 391
its not so much trying to gain hp when changing over to vforce reeds its the throttle response. You get a crisper throttle response off the bottom through the mid. They are def a good investment and i would def get some if you dont have them.
yeah file the top flat and stick a piece of wood or something in the carb when drill through so you dont hit the other side. its best to do on a drill press
