if you get the 4 mill long rod you need the bigger head gasket or a base plate. if you use the bigger head gasket ive heard more torque, and if you use the base plate more hp cuz it raises the port timing.
sounds to me like your motor is just running real tight after the rebuild. i wouldnt worry about it after my last rebuild it took a couple hours of riding to get it to even try and hold an idle.
Alright correct me if im wrong if your porting your cylinders they have to be ported for a 4 mill if they are already ported for a stock stroke bike you might need new cylinders. Go with the 4mill 5mm long rod like previously stated longevity of the motor and produces more power than a short rod. I also thought you didnt have to trench cylinders untill you got a 7 mill and up.
They just have the yfz450x and yfz450r now x for woods r for the track. If i had too choose between the three bike i would go with another banshee f 4 pokes.
with your setup at 40:1 with the lid off your plugs should look pretty good. Theres nothing wrong with what your running right now just drop the mains until its right. You can also try dropping the clip on the needle 1 down before you do the main and see how that goes.
First off you have a 270 main jet in and a 27.5 pilot. Are you doing a wideopen run and checking the plugs or just letting it idle? Is your airbox lid on or off?
Cheetah Cubs, noss head, 35 pwks or bigger, vforce reeds, shearers or cpi inframes, shift star mod, shaft mod, and shift pro kit if you feel it necessary, and a +4 swingarm or so. thats my .02 lets hear some more imput
well im not exactly sure what your asking besides the pingle valve. and yes that will work fine. if you want to know what to jet the carbs for were gonna need to know your elevation and temp. a good mid to top pipe T5, CPI inframe, Shearer inframe.
