  1. Appreciate the feedback fellas. Yall r right. I think Im just going to hold out for some 39 pwks setup by Jeff on alky. Just gotta find a dang job and I'll be in the running.
  2. No one will swap? don't be sure about that Dave, I got a offer right now! That's why I posted the thread to see if it was worth it. I have heard nothing but good about lectrons like I said everyone here runs them. Basically if I stay on gas to stick with pwks, and a local lectron guru said nothing compares to a set of lectrons if I was gonna run alky. He said there easy to tune. It's just that these are set up for gas. And if I was to convert them it would be cheaper than to convert some pwks right? Just need a float and needle on the lectrons?

  4. Ohh no doubt thts the route I'd love to take, lost my job of ten years a couple months ago, ain't got no money to get carbs set up on alky gotta resort to trades or swaps man. Gotta do what u gotta.
  5. I believe im in the market as well, think we even talked about the same issue....neways I cant get my drag ported FAST 4 mill to shift under load either....let me know what works for you, Im probally gonna end up getting a tranny from Dave.

  7. All I've heard are good things about these carbs, everyone here at our dragstrip runs em, I want to trade my pwks for some Lectrons but I'm green to them. Can they be converted to alky easily? Or is it basically the same process as reg carbs? Thanks guys!
  8. Awesome man! I'll def be checking in from time to time. I love finding the steepest longest hill possible and hitting it WOT. I wish we had events near here I would def be involved and ditch the 300' drags. Lol

Man o man, please tell me this AINT my prob as well, I JUST got my first set of silenced OOF's they were used and im sure on meth, and Im thinking i need to repack as well, I have stuff that oozes from the crack between the end cap and silencer every time i warm them up and when I rip on it and pipes get hot, the worst damn smell I have ever smelled, like burning trash or something..... anyone else experience this??
  11. Forgot to add you were DEAD on with the trailtech. My tach went haywire and the vapor would shutoff under wot using the b8es. I had to swap to the br8es and not a prob since.
  12. It's Just that on a unaltered stock motor on GAS. There's no need to worry about swapping plugs. Only when u start to turbo And add meth should it be considered. Someone correct me if I'm off on this.

  14. I just had a drag ported stock cylinder 4 mill done by jeff an I'm going to tell you now, it flat rips, you will not be dissapointed. Also he is going to tell you to ditch the T5s, that's what I had lol. And also your going to need carbs. 35's or bigger. I have 35's and he wants me to get 39's. So yes. But I would call him and talk to him directly. Great guy.

  16. Dude, use one of them hobbyist picks, use the end with the 90 degree bend..... ive changed out several. If it tears into pieces so what, keep prying on it, itll pop right out.... better than taking half your motor apart for a seal.
  17. I just put a roundhouse on mine and I'm using stock axle. No probs at all. Like stated only when using a carrier for a drag axle should u run into probs.
  18. I've never rode dunes. Will soon though LS here I come in June. But I'd say trails, way more Obstacles, more clutch and throttle control is required and we have hills here that will rival any dune. Hitting a straight up hill in 4th just to carry speed to make the straight up incline not to mention dodgin trees on either side and being prepared to Jump off if u don't make it so u don't roll 300 yds back down the hill under your quad takes skill lol.

  20. Buddy of mine scored a 83 250r. Decent shape for what it is. Wants to trade me for my jato 3.3 nitro car. R runs. Needs some tlc that's all. I used to have a 86 atc back in the day, never had a aircooled one. What u guys think? Pros cons??

  22. Yea it's pretty bad! Backfires real heavy when u give it gas. Just on that one side. He said he's gonna go through it this weekend so hopefully I can post back some good news.
  23. me as well, My Pingel leaked from the seal between it and the tank, had to use some more rubber and some sealent to get it to stop.... Couldnt get it to stop for nothing
