  1. I've ran castrol gtx 10w30 for years. Never had an issue with slipping. All i've ran in the tranny for 7 years
  2. Boost bottle is a waste of time. All it will do is eventually crack your intake boots. What broke off of the pistons? Top or skirt? If it was a piece of the top, hopefully it went out the exhaust. If it was the skirt, there might be some metal floating around in the bottom of the crankcase. You can try to flush it out, but watch for any damage that could have occurred. Might be a good idea to split the cases and find out why this happened to begin with.
  3. We only went to the drags for a few minutes. The dunes were to nice to stay at the hill. Burned through 2 tanks and left at 1.
  4. I haven't heard anything bad about the chinese rads yet. $100 on ebay sounds better than $300 -$400. Another thing you might check out is the allen head bolts for the clutch cover. You won't have to worry about stripping them in the future. And they look cool. Only like 8 bucks from Rocky mtn atv.
  5. Mix your gas right, keep the filters clean, and ride the hell out of it. If you ever break anything, its a good excuse to make it faster. Welcome to the site.
  6. I think you have to remove the push rod and ball out of the clutch center to pull the arm.
  7. I'll have at least 5 people with me. Red/silver F-250 with a black pull trailer. Bike in my sig. Flip me off so I know to stop
  8. Post a pic of the twist. There is only a few different brands. Easy fix if you get the right cable
  9. My stock cylinder 4 mil is running 340 mains. I've wanted to try a clean up port myself. Nothing drastic, just better flow. As long as you don't change the durations, I'd say go for it. Have you done any porting on an engine before? Helped my neighbor port the heads on a vw engine. I thought it was interesting. Good luck
  10. We were actually planning a day trip on the 9th to dial in the bikes. Might see you out there kevin
  11. Hey man, that may offend me
  12. When you clean the carbs, make sure you blow air through the jets and passages. Sounds electrical to me also, but nice to rule out dirty carbs first. Pull off the stator cover and make sure its not rusted real bad. Post back. Good luck
  13. We should all meet up for a bhq meet and greet. Talk some shit then go for a ride. Only member I've met out there was diskoe. We should have a handful of banshees there. No drag bikes, but we like to ride.
  14. Just unplug it. Stops the bike from revving when the brake is set. Shouldn't need to get rid of the tors
  15. Looks cool. Is it going to dumont any time soon? Be cool to set up a ride on halloween
  16. Is there a way to figure out the compression ratio if you know bore/stroke/dome size? Or does it have to be apart to figure a correct ratio
  17. The clutch lever has nothing to do with your throttle. To change clutch levers, all you have to change is the e-brake . You have to get rid of the e-brake cable and unplug the wires for the safety switch.
  18. Just got home from the show. Forgot to take a camera. There were some of the sickest rails I've ever seen. Not one or two, a bunch of them. New buckshot X-4 $272,000. Nice show banshees at cascade and RIS designs also. Fun day.
  19. JL, do you need stock size or bigger? I will get in line if some one else was first
  20. What do you do to keep steel looking good after polishing? I polished my brake lever and stock shifter and they rusted a couple months later.
  21. As savage said, easy fix. Might want to consider getting a case saver while you have the stator cover off. Cheap insurance incase you ever throw a chain.
  22. I've been running ITP trak stars in the desert. Not sure how they would work on different terrain. Seem to hook up pretty good in the dirt
  23. x3. Very nice. Everyone should take notes
  24. too big for stockers. 1 1/2 inches ID. They will fit oko 30's. I'll take them if the first guys don't.
