Anyone ever tried to make one of these out of the stock cover? I was thinking about trying it and was checking for any input. If you've tried it, let me know. Doesn't seem like too big of a deal. Only thing I'm concerned about is clearance for the impeller.

I've bought billet parts from RIS in the past. Good quality stuff. But in my opinion, you'd be better off sticking with builders with a good rep. If you go with HJR, don't be surprised when you see his shop. Kevin knows what he is doing, but he doesn't have a huge machine shop like RIS. He works out of his house. He is only a couple hours from you. Give him a call

Pismo was fun as hell. The dunes were different from what I'm used to, but still fun. Camping on the beach was the best part. Thanks for all the advise guys, it made it alot easier. I'll post up next trip so we can go on a ride.

I bought a box of parts a few weeks ago from a guy on craigs list. There is a stock head that he thinks was milled but wasn't sure. Is there any way to measure the head to see what is what? Just looks like a stock head to me. Any info is appreciated. Thanks

I run a hjr 4 mil dune port, stock cylinder motor. Fun as hell in the dunes. Not sure about the carb size, I haven't tried anything bigger than 28's. As far as the bottom end, I'm sure more than a few people will tell you to run an override tranny. I'm sure I'll do it in the next season or 2. Don't forget to put a pancake bearing on the clutch.
