what do you guys think of this idea?
boneyardbanshee. replied to lokisbuddy's topic in Banshee Appearance
thats what i thought but wasnt sure. I like theme bikes and even though I am a Pens fan I love the wings logo (damn that was hard to admit haha) I think it would be kick ass. -
I personaly have not seen a anodized purple. Anodized is not glossy. Clears come in all kinds of gloss levels. I get all of my powder form HERE

pipe touches the fuel line ?
boneyardbanshee. replied to bansheefreak05's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
you bent your stingers to clear fuel lines? -
yep they come with longer screws. why not just trim the ones you have? put a nut on them ,cut, screw the nut off to fix the threads. Buy another bottle of pre mix with the money you saved.

aluminum and stainless steel can be anodized. There are powders that look like anodizing if that is what your going for. The red is anodized red

On any other bike I would say no, but on yours it looks real good man. Just need some lights. Other than that your in my top 10, badass banshee bro.

what do you guys think of this idea?
boneyardbanshee. replied to lokisbuddy's topic in Banshee Appearance
I like your Red Wings idea. White with red, color, Wings logo right? Yeah that would look tight. What is thier alternate color scheme? All red with a white logo would be cool. But if you can get the white ones for nothing I would say go for it. My brother wanted me to do a Steeler bike for my "other" bike, black plastics yellow shroud/cover, but um, no. I hate yellow. -
Powder will dull it a little. Look for some Zoop sealer. Cant remember where I seen it but alot of the car show guys use it to seal thier Alum rims. Helps keep that shine.

whats the best air filter mod
boneyardbanshee. replied to mignumspeed's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
hmm that looks like a cool setup. I would get the outerwear lid for it also. I run a stock air box with a pro flow, outerwear on the filter and one for a "lid". The one that covers the airbox collects alot of mud that still manages to fly up there. -
Guide to buying used parts
boneyardbanshee. replied to lokisbuddy's topic in General Banshee Discussion
When buying used parts make sure you get good pics of the item. I cant tell you how many times I have bought something and was pissed about it. I am a little picky though. But damn a ding is not a dent, and slightly used doesnt mean beat to hell. Oh "low hours" doesnt mean squat to me either. Get good pics!!! -
I think they have gas powered ones at the local hobby shop. They are damn expensive though.

need help with my front brakes
boneyardbanshee. replied to mignumspeed's topic in General Banshee Discussion
sounds like they need bled more. Hold the lever in when you tighten the bleeders back down. I had a hell of a time with mine but eventually got it. -
YF 350Z? no thanks

I really like my pro taper bars. My bro. rolled mine down a hill and they held up. So they are worth the extra I paid for them.

Yes different textures, gloss levels, and what the powder is made of, can be different. Just remember that cure time is NOT how long it is in the oven, but how long the part itself is at the temp. On another note, MOST of the powders I get from that site cure at nearly the same temp and MOST of them are "overbake stable". That means you can cure them longer for certain reasons that you will run into down the road. Yes it is fairlly straight forward however its not as easy as one may think. Like anything else do your homework. Nunber 1 rule for coating be it powder, paint, whatever, is make sure you do a good job prepping the surface. That will directly translate into how good the final project is. Get on the forums. There is alot to be learned and you can learn from thier screwups instead of yours.

just get a plastic one. Doesnt have to be the TM one. I have one of ebay that a machine shop made and it actually braces more of the case than the TM one. I have also run the ebay china chain for over 3 years with no problem. And their sprockets. Just make sure you keep up on your maitnence. Make sure it is adjusted correctly, lubed well, sprocket nuts are tight, clean the junk out of there after every ride. A clean, well maintained mahine will ALWAYS run and last longer.

Laid off Plastics processor/Powder Coater. Right now is hard to find a job so I have been powder coating alot more these days. Gonna go back to school but I need to get out of plastics. Maybe welding or go full time on the powder coating not sure yet. -
Hey, how ya doing? The Hot Coat system is a good place to start gun wise. However if you really are interested in learning go here Powder Forum. I am on a few forums but this is my favorite. Alot of nice people and more info than you will ever need to know. Their powder is very well priced. Eastwood is a good place and so is Caswell. But this is were I get all of my powder and how I learned alot of info when I started out. Best of luck to ya.

How many Banshee's do you own?
boneyardbanshee. replied to messer007's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Well I have 2 banshees. One is my trail monster, the other is a pipped 92. Then I have a spare frame in the barn. Not sure what im gonna do with it yet. We also have a blaster and a old honda dirt bike. There is also my nieces lt 50 and my brothers Forman with a big bore kit, aftermarket exhaust, and a bunch of other crap. I think he got jealous of the banshee so he put like 6 grand into motor and performance mods. About what I paid for both the banshees. It is one mean ass 4x4. -
there are alot of other parts in the motor other than the trans. that are magnetic. There are clips, bolts, washers, and the main reason for a magnetic plug, your clutch plates. No mater what kind of basket you have the clutch plates are constantly being worn from ridding on the basket and rubbing across the clutch fibers. Granted they will not cause as much immediate damage to the trans as the others but all those little shavings floating around in there will slowly grind them down. I have the same plug as you. All metal, strong ass magnet, glued or not, that thing isnt going anywhere. I was worried about the one I use because of this post, so to be safe I had to check it out. I would advise others to do the same.

Great job man. I have the Irate design. Always get compliments on it. I love to fab. my own shit too. I added a removable screen behind that to keep the mud out of my rad. If it gets to dirty I just take my shroud off, remove the screen and wash it off in a creek. I wouldnt worry about the copyright. For one if you are not gonna sell them you ant get in trouble. Two, all you have to do is change an item slightly(wich you have) and it is no longer the same product design. Keep up the good fab work.
