  1. HA, you think yours is bad? When I got mine it was junk. Hence my screen name. Talk about wondering if a motor will run, mine was in peices, didnt even know if it was all there. It was about 5 different colors and FAR more peices. I spent 6 months just to get it put back together and running. Then, on its maiden voyage it threw a crank bearing. A Hot Rod crank, new rings on the bad side, and 3 months later, like a Phoenix from the ashes, it rose again. Yup it is almost brand new now haha. Now that I have been through it, I wouldnt have done it any other way. I built it how I wanted it from the frame up. Just snapped my axel a few days ago so yeah, it never ends. But it just gives me an excuse to make it better. I live in PA also and I love how all the four stroke guys talk about my bike. Most dont want no part of the banshee and those who do get roosted.
  2. what sleeves do you use for replacements? I thought that sounded odd myself.
  3. yeah but if you look for the "type" then follow it down for the banshee, CI stands for cast iron. That is where it explains that it has a cast iron liner that needs to be bored to insert the aftermarket ones.
  4. So after further research I ran across THIS SITE wich states that the stock sleeves are in fact cast iron. So I won a hundred bucks and those of you who didnt know now do. Thanks guys.
  5. you twisted the bolt? damn Hercules, get the torches out.
  6. official_style your right, it is not that hard. Top collar, nut and clevis on the bottom for the stem. The bearing is held in with a retainer that has an inside hex. I used a large bolt that fit in there to remove it. You may need to get physical with it like I did, but was not that bad. Had to use torches on my retainer and cut the bearing out. My shit was abused when I got it.
  7. looking nice. You should take that head back off when you get your gaskets in. That way you can bolt your cylinders down evenly to prevent any problems.
  8. did you ckeck your flywheel key like I said in your other post?
  9. Justt noticed you said your needles are bent. That very well may be causing it also. Your needles change things not only in lenth but the shape of the needle.
  10. If its a low end bog it should not be caused by your mains. Try messing with your air screws or pilots.
  11. Do you have gas? Hey ya never know. But actually sounds like maybe your key on the flywheel came off.
  12. you could try to tip the motor or use some kind of a stick magnet. If you have to split the cases you can do it upside down so you will not have to mess with your top end.
  13. I would try lubing it first. I have 3 HD springs and 3 stock on my Barnet setup. Man was it a bitch to pull. Bought a cable luber before a ride last year and it was like butter, just needed lubed.
  14. Well I snapped my axle off at the hub today. I am looking to get a G-Force and have a few questions on hubs. I was thinking of getting some Boss wheel hubs. Mainly beause I know they would have brand new splines on my new axle. I am a little iffy on buying used stock units. Are there any real advantages? Will they hold up any better? I know they look nice, but I will be laying powder on them anyhow. Also, what about their sprocket and brake hubs? Mainly their sprocket hub. I cant see where the brake hub would get too much spline wear. They would go right on a G-Focre axle right?
  15. yep, that is what I thought. Anyone else want to chim in on this? I have a bet going with my know it all brother. Or someone have definitave proof?
  16. http://www.xtranormal.com/watch Thats some good shit right there. I was just searching for him and said fuck it he can do this shit.
  17. Listen dude, first off dont get shitty with me, I said was. Other than Sparks yeah, IN THE DAY when you heard of Banshee builders, Trinity was THE name. Never said they were the only one, but they sure as hell got the most publicity from the Banshee. Were talking races, magazines articles, even fucking video games. Hell I never said they were the God or any bullshit like that. Nowadays the only one on your list that gets any good reviews is K&T. Whens the last time you saw a McCoy or K&T built Banshee get any publicity other than a place like this or from other people who ride them? I write a long ass post like that and you are gonna wig and misquote me on one sentence that is matter of opinion, get bent asshole.
  18. He was on tv also....... Anyhow, Trinity and Alba are very good names. Take that for what is worth. Just with ANY business smaller shops always have better customer relations. If they dont they wont last long. They can also specialize where as the bigger names have moved on to the future. Are any of them better than another, probably not. Your final product will not be any damn different. The difference is, a site sponser is going to take extra care of your product because they share the passion that you have. You will more than likely see a faster turn around also. Are the best builders at Trinity or Alba gonna work on "Joe Blows" motor, HELL NO. Maybe ten years ago, if your a known name. But at a site sponser you get the best builder there and you are not "Joe" to them, you are a fellow Banshee owner. In the day, Trinity was THE Banshee builder. And Alba was up there also. Thats how they got where they are. But times have changed. The banshee doesnt see many new parts and alot of well known companies have even started to discontinue some Banshee parts. Just like any outdated machine, whether it be cars, trucks, ATVs, whatever, it is up to the enthusiast to continue the popularity of their machine and small business to carry the aftermarket.
  19. dude, you shouldnt smoke crack while riding. But yeah, if the wheel is moving up and down it should be a bent axle, in and out, bent rim or hubs
  20. What material are the stock sleeves made from? I thought I saw it in a post some time ago but can not retrieve the info. The posts I have found refer to them as Iron, Cast Iron, or steel.
  21. thats cool. I like the shirt/pant combo that matches it. I wonder if RMATV has it?
