  2. Wet is the way to go... should have fun adding a fuel pump to your bike. put cooler plugs in and watch the timing. And if and when you do Do the NOS.... dont hold the button very long. I had a buddy of mine hold it to long and the bike went BOOM. So if your just wanting a fast bike then go with a head like NOSS that you can change out the domes. Oh ya watch the bottom end on crank as well it needs to be trued and weld. From looking at you mods you will see some gain in a Head with some domes and upping the timing to +4 and you didnt say if your jugs are ported... If not then Porting is a big step as well. Nos is the short time piston melting fun. There are going to be some people like me to put there .02 in so have fun and best of luck. You also may want to looking into calling NOS and talking to them about what your trying to do and see if they have any input for 2stroke
  3. The D shaped bushings... But I got it all worked out.. Went to ACE and got some bushings that fit just nice and fine. All in all got everything back together (-)the filters, fluids and gas. Should have it running tomorrow after work. But thinking I need to throw in some 27.5 pilots due to the new porting

Hey what do you know im a pool guy...yeah Acid will work and you can get it a homedepot as well... and when you do it make sure your by the hose for running water...you can get it on chrome it is fine. it will clean it... but dont let it sit to long. I mix some soap in mine so it will stay in place and just not run off. donesnt take much soap. but the gloves are a plus and the respirator is not really needed if your out side... just dont huff the shit...

  6. if you want to feel safe mix some 100 and some 93 for a 50/50 for a oct of 96.5 ir if its 91 oct it would be 95.5 oct
  7. I would bump up to 310 and work your way down...easier to work your way down then buy a new top end
  8. umm maybe 2 maybe less maybe more... I felt a big diff from air box to pods... just make sure you rejet

I just use trans type F I change it after a weekend of riding from the dunes. and depends on how hard I ride in the summer maybe every other weekend riding type F is cheap so i figure it is easy to just keep fresh oil in it...but i have ran 10W40 with good luck and just started using Type F because its cheaper
  10. well if you ride in mud and water I would keep the air box. if your ringing in sand and dust then the pods and when they say pods they are clamp on to the carb. outwear is a must... well i think it is... helps keep dirt and water and what ever small thing out of the filter. but I love the pods and if you do get some real clamps and not the stock ones...Thats how i fried my motor the first time out in the dunes. I had a pod come off.

  12. get a noss head or one that you can change out the domes... Add +4 timing and put some pods on. are the jugs getting ported or just the 66mm? if your wanting power then go to a 4mil crank and get the jugs ported for them...But all in all i had 20cc domes with fmf fattys and pods and my bike did fly tell i got my jugs dune ported...so now im just waiting to put it back together to see the diff. but porting is the money maker
  13. Here is the pic...I figured it out and it is an expander ring as sheeban said...It goes on the bottom ring. But now im pissed because I figured this out and now i cant find two of my motor mount bushings... So now i have to wait to buy some or make some...anyone know where i can get them besides the stealer ship and ebay? I was thinking of going to ACE and trying to make some.
  14. ok so for the piston there are two rings and a crazzy 12 sided ring...where in the hell does it go?
  15. I have burgard on my Banshee and love them...I have jumped the dog shit out of it and work just great...I got them off Ebay new for about 200 shipped... new they are around 450. and lifetime. I have alba rec on my raptor and they have held up great... roled flipped...ect and they are going strong...I got them for the dunes. if your going to be doing alot of jumping looking into reinforced arms. Hemi joints are ok but they get dusty and durty and then start sweeking. then you can be heard from down the road...My brother had fullflights on his raptor before he sold it and they worked great just not the hemis....but i want happy with how they made their fullflight arms...looked like someone just did some quick welding and out the door to coating... but all in all try to stay with 4130 cromolly and they will out live your bike!!!

  21. I got his porting done...just waiting to put my motor back together but it is clean work. Very happy... I have ported many 4stroke heads and just didnt want to take on the timing deal...I thought i was going to have to go back in and do some work but everything is great!!! I got the dune port because I still trail ride alot of the summer and dune the winter.
