  1. just for the record, Lonestar sells a billet sprocket hub that uses a 250r sprocket. I think you can go as low as 35 teeth with a honda sprocket bolted on.
  2. That does look fine, but actually a lil carbon buildup tells me your running a little rich.
  3. Toomey's 2:1 filter kit with a prefilter is a really nice setup, Iv run em on all 3 of my Banshee incarnations and currently run one on my Rz350 streetbike.
  4. First of all, not to be a dick but.... we have a jetting forum here where you'd get more replies. Now I never like to recommend moving the clips from the middle notch, which is the stock position. The needles control the largest part of the powercurve, they control jetting from aproxx 1\4 throttle to 3\4 throttle and moving the clip up or down on the needle represents a big shift in the overal jetting, moving the clip will effect your final main jet size too. With the mods you have,I'd be keeping the needle in the stock notch. The needle clips move the jetting so much that aftermarket needles come with clips and little washers so you adjust the clips in half notches instead of moving them full notches. Be forwarned if you move the clips to the 4th notch, you'll have to re-dial in the mains and re-adjust your idle screws and should prolly swap out your pilots too. Do you live\ride at any extreme altitudes ?
  5. holler if you wanna sell or trade that 16 tooth front. I have a 13 and a 14 tooth i'd trade you for.
  6. yea im 15 miles away from numidia. I work in the next little town down the road, Catawissa. Iv been to the last 3 NHRA sponsored races, but I don't go much. Iv heard they race streetbikes there, my buddy wants to take his yamaha V-max down to Numidia and see what kinda numbers it has. His V-max is prolly around a high 10 second 1\4 mile. I'd like to run my Rz there too. They should be closing up for winter soon........ i think.
  7. happy berfday H-man.
  8. Why couldnt the govt\natl guard be in NO BEFORE the storm hit to haul away the poor and elderly ??
  9. Id vote for Holyman ! 99% of the time I agree with everything the man writes. Common sense rules !! $3.39 for "cheap" stuff here in central Pa. Im worried about home heating costs this winter, I really don't know if I am going to be able to afford heating oil at these prices throughout the winter. Im going to need to selling ATV parts to heat my house and put gas in the car. Also, if you folks have ever been thinking about buying a motorcycle, now it the time. Mine saves me a ton of gas money. It used to cost me $4 bucks and change to fill the tank on my Rz. Now is nearly 12 bucks to fill it up. My van cost me $50 bucks for half a tank at $2.59 a gallon. Now I can't afford to drive my big ol van twenty miles to work. The way things are going, im going to end up putting knobbies on my Rz and will be riding the bastard to work in January snow
  10. Josh hows that 450r treatin ya ? 03OrangeShee comin up anytime soon ?? Last I heard he bought a Quadzilla to conquer the steep side of coal hill July 30th I'll try to hook up with ya, I wanna see you jump that new 450 down the "dunkleburger drop"
  11. hell yea
  12. I'll prolly meet up with yas if you come to Trevorton. Im at coal hill atleast twice a week and sometime three times per week. Every Thursday and Sunday I'm there, usually later in the day tho, from 6pm till dark. I sometimes ride there on Mondays too.
  13. 450r won the overall GNC Pro class this year. John Natalie. 450r is currently in second place overall in the GNCC pro class. Chris Borich Both of these guys are factory Honda racers now. Chris finally got his contract with Honda, he's been racin' em for along time, its about time Honda stepped up and backed him. Tim Farr is the other Honda factory rider. He's in 3rd or 4th overall in the GNC circuit. Gust and Jones are both racing Suzuki's and they're both in and out of the top 5 overall all season long. Wheres them motorcross Yammys ?? Those GOKI electric starters are crap tho, the one they're sellin for the honda looks just like the one they tried sellin me back in '88 for my 230 QuadSport. You'd be better off makin your own. Honda released an electric start CRF based trail bike this year, rumor has it the same setup will be on the '06 450rs, and if they don't get put on in '06, they'll prolly def get it in '07. Every XC race I'v been too..... there's always 2 or 3 Hondas sitting on the starting line with their riders kickin and kickin and kickin and kickin and kickin while the rest of the pack is allready through the first corner. Someone please edit "puddlejumpers" YFZ sig picture plz
  14. I took a bunch of pictures the other day and when i read this thread I figured id whip up a page showing my little adventure. The time was 7pm and it was getting sorta dark outside, my camera sucks to begin with so the combo of low light and crappy camera makes for some ugly pictures, but check it out anyways. Central Pennsylvania, July 12th. Hope you enjoy my playground...... http://www.thebansheezone.com/July12thRide.htm
  15. Good to hear.
  16. Interesting. I'll have to test mine and see what I come up with. BTW I test mine cold.
  17. check your ground wire too, sometimes they'll break right where they bolt to the frame. I ran my own wiring so my ground wire was mounted on a bolt on the rear seat "bracket" piece(right near the CDI), im not sure where the stock ground wire mounts tho . Also, replace both spark plugs with brand news. Your problem could be a simple fouled set of plugs. I dunno where your from, but here in pennsylvania its spark plug fouling weather the past two weeks. 92 degrees and humid as Africa, foul a spark plug on a rich motor faster than you can say Amsoil.
  18. You can try a sharp chisel on the nut, tap the chisel with a hammer. air chisel if ya got one
  19. unless those springs in these rebuild kits are heavier or better than the stock springs, your kickstarter will eventually start rattlin' again. I replaced mine with a stock spring and within a few hours it was rattling again. The next time I placed an order I bought 5 stock springs and every so often I would put a new spring in the kickstarter..... until one day I got the Holyman Tech kickstarter fixxer upper mod done and that was the end of my kickstarter spring replacin' days. And on the plus side.... a good BHQ member makes a few bucks, besides... Vito's doesnt need another three dollars anyways.
  20. Do you know about the little clutch alignment arrow embossed on the engine case ?
  21. rtv sillycone, or "Ultra Copper" exhaust silicone maybe.
  22. Edit, I thought you needed to get the flywheel NUT loose... so everytime I used the word "NUT" replace it with "FLYWHEEL PULLER". hey man your gonna need some leverage to break that fucker loose. Hook up your socket with a big heavy duty 1\2 inch ratchet. Find a piece of tubing to slide over the handle of the ratchet. Have a buddy keep the socket\ratchet in the correct posiition on the nut, you don't wanna round off the corners of the nut. Dont use any extension bar between the ratchet and the socket. Put the quad in gear, set the parkin' brake if it works, chock the tires and put a strap wrench on the flywheel to stop it from spinning. Grab the long tube you slid over the ratchet handle and put some tension on the nut. Now give it a sharp pull on the ratchet. A quick sharp pull will sometimes work better than a long strenious tug. Heat helps, but I'd be afraid of damaging the flywheel and possibly melting shit on the stator. That "PB Blaster" spray works for some guys, I have a can but I havent really seen any mirical's with it yet. Leverage will get er loose...... maybe a better impact gun and\or more air pressure will do it. Try takin the quad to a garage with a good industrial compressor and borry a big heavy impact gun from the guy too. Im also a fan of anti-seize. i goop it everywhere I can.
  23. agreed. start with the cold rolled 1018 steel tubin'
  24. How much bumpsteer are we talkin' about on a long traveled' stock framed Banshee ? how much toe-in can one run and still have the quad ridable ?
  25. oh i can host pictures for ya
