Maxxis Razrs IMO. First they're cheap, around $45 bucks apeice for 20 inchers on 9 inch rims, secondly they are by far the most used rear tire in cross country racing. I know your not a XC racer and I know Im always referring to XC racing... but XC racing is nothing more than extreme trail riding. These XC guys run the tires that give them the best chance of winning thier race. The majority run Razrs. Not Razr 2's, im talkin about the original Razr design. The word on the Razr2's is that they are heavy and don't slide as well as the original Razr design. If you prefer ITP brand tires, their Holeshot tires are almost as good as Razr's design. When the XC guys know they're racing a mud race, they all switch to the radial I-razrs. I personally have ran a coupla different rear tire brands over the years and my favorite is the 20 inch Razr. I love 20 turf tamers too, but they're a thin tire and puncture easy, so don't make the best tire in real world trail riding. They're better suited for a groomed MX track or someplace that doesnt have alot of crap to puntucre your tire. Turf tamers are two ply tires. Razr come in either 4 or 6 ply depending on how much you wanna spend on em. Iv never tried the Klaws. Holeshots seem like a harder rubber than the razrs. The Razrs wear faster than the Holeshots I used to run. Front tires, hands down best tires are the Maxxis Razr2 fronts.

yup, he's on a honda 450r now. Cant say he's the guy your talkin about but..... i don't think many guys out there have the Sredish user name.

Laeger T-pin arms are better than Roll's or anything with balljoints. Altho they're expensive and they require you to use laegers steerin' stem, I feel they're the best money can buy. Shocks, either AXIS, Elka or PEP. Im partail to the Custom Axis shocks, but any brand out of those three are the shizznitt.
-
Yea I was always under the impression that heims\balljoints would not be covered under anyone's warrenty, just the A-arms themselves are covered. It really sucks about those Outlaw A-arms that cant have the hiems replaced, Iv never seen an A-arm that doesnt' have a replacable heim\balljoin, besides stock A-arms. Post some pictures please....

yea i had the same problem dealin with Janssen, they don't do email thats for sure. Janssen racin' never posted much here either, they were the lone bansheehq sponsor for quite along time, but they never posted much or were any good with emailin' folks. There's alot of people like that tho, they just arnt into the computer age as others are. Thats ashame. It took Custom Axis 2 months to reply back to my email, I gave up hope on em, then one day I got a reply from em. Good luck with emailin' janssen tho, id call em on the phone tho, these A-arms cost alot moola.

You guys should come over to Trevorton\Coal Hill this summer...

NYUK said "shirley Hemple" about something sometime..... and I found it hilarious. I finally got a chance to use the Hemple reference and I jumped on it. Good to see someone found that funny. I get a big smile whenever I hear that name.... shirley hemple ps i was a big Whats Happenin' fan back in the day.... for real.

No "Y" in Hipers
-
Yup, thats exactly how I envisioned it working. Also found that they're not really a two-stroke item, they're for controlling 4-stroke engine braking. Guess this thread is kinda irrelevant on a 2 stroke forum. Oh well... alteast I learned something new tonight

With all the clutch talk lately, I thought I'd ask this...... The new GSXR's and R1\R6 come with these new exoctic "slipper clutches" dirived from MotoGP bikes...... Can someone school me on WTF a slipper clutch is ??? danka
-
eh, I didnt like the Raptor\Banshee look when I first saw em, but they're starting to grow on me now. I dig it. Atleast its something different than the 86,362 Banshees with FullBore plastics .
-
I forgot about those, they're a nice beadlock too .
-
Its BEADlock. And Hipers rule. I got a full set and love em. I had Champion beadlocks and they're cheesy lookin compared to the Hipers. The only other beadlocks that I'd recomend are the Douglas Ultimates\Shamrocks.
-
Be carefull buyin '01 Raptors. They're they ones with the tranny problems. Trannys were fixed\beefed up in he '02 Rappys. Any interest in a long travel '89 250r in Pa ?? $2200+ just in the front end of the quad. Red Fullbore plastics. Needs nothing. Slight tweak in the subframe, doesn't effect anything, the tweak is SLIGHT, but needs mentioned. Roll Design chrome anti-vibe stem. Galfer wave rotors up front. ARS\fx A-arms(best arms on the market) with 19 inch fully adj Custom Axis shocks(needs revalved for the A-arms). Stock motor with a Pro-Circuit pipe. The quads industructable and has 180lbs of compression.

no racing for me, especially GNCC. Iv done a D6 hairscramble allready... that was "interesting". My cousin has been racing a few GNCC's every year and he's pretty good. He races in the Utiliy Unlimited class. He raced the Wisp this year and I went along to pit for him. He got 6th place in his class. Im a big fan of the Utility classes, they're a fun and unique class, plus they flat out haul ass. Another hometown GNCC races named bob obrick races in the Utlity Modified class, he races all the GNCC's and finished 4th overall in his class. Iv helped bob in the pits at the 6hr race at Rausch Creek this past summer. Oh hell yea man, im a big gncc fan. I used to post alot of GNCC stuff in the XC section of these forums, but I never had many replies. Ballance is without a doubt, better than Borich was this year. Your right, they both had a throwaway race and Ballance still came out #1. Iv been a bill ballance fan since he used to tangle with Barry Hawk. His yellow LRD250r might be my favorite quad of all time. You all know the quad, its the yellow 250r with the big Klotz decals on the sides and it has a blue LRD aluminum frame. I seen that quad up close in the pits and watched it win the 2003 Rausch Creek gncc. Bill Ballance 6 time GNCC Pro champion. I took pictures of his '03 LRD250r, I got pictures of his "04 and "05 YFZs. I'll show yas the pictures in a day or three. I go to alot of District 6 hairscrambles, dist 6 is eastern Pa and some of NJ. Anyways, about 5 years ago there's this local kid thats been dominating the local hairscrambles and won the 250A class in the GNCC series. Chris Borich. Chris lives 10 miles away from me so that pretty much requires me to be a huge fan Im also a Jim Stack fan, if anyone knows who Stack is

Agreed. Yamaha should have never signed Kory Ellis. Nothin against the guy, he's 100 times faster than I'll ever be, but he's not a top 3 GNC Pro guy. They need to sign on Travis Spader !!! Yamaha should have never left Natalie slip out of there hands. He's another one who switched from Yamaha to Honda and had instant success, the only differece bewteen him and Borich is that Natalie won the #1 plate. Trail rider, later on i'll post a picture of Bills '05 YFZ, its as nice as they get.
