IMO Plastic absorbs the shock. Billet acts an extension of the case itself and sends the shock of a chain whack into the case. A plastic saver along with a good chain and you will be ok.

Or get some made for a stock arm. You can pick up some used Works for around 200-250. I would not run YFZ on stock arms.

I am now useing Protaper SE after bending some Renthals. They are nice, the finish on'em sucks ass, scratches really easy. Fasst Flex is the way to go if you got deep pockets.

Rollins has a great point. I had a little 150 that is geared so it works great for a learning quad. It has no power until you get it way up top. I think this along with the thumb limit will work.

I broke the lower carrier bolt while putting a swinger on. I just used a standard size bolt from Lowes. I took the bolt with me and got one that was as close as possible to same diameter. It was in the "specialty bolt" section. It was gold. Works just fine for me, and I beat the shit out of it.

As a person, I fear people like this. Nothing scares me more than a kid with no parenting, lack of morals, no reason to live, and no fear in dieing. As a parent, it makes me enraged. I just emailed him today about it with the same question. My concern was not the breaking in, but the fuel to use. I normally run Belray MC1. That is as full synth mixed @ 50:1. He said it would be cool. I am like you, I will do heat cycles to play it safe. Besides, I can tune the carbs out and everything else during cool downs.

I got my fresh, Herr dune ported topend put together. Started it for the first time last night. I am now ready for break-in once my shocks get here. The idle sound alone had me so freakin hype.
