I don't get it either. Does not sound like anything is missing b/c your arrows line up right. This would mean it is on the out side somewhere. Is the new cable ran thru the frame the same way as the old one?
-
I know you said your 100% sure it is the right cable, But is the old cable the EXACT same length as the new cable? Mine was 1/4" off. It ended up being the wrong part#.

According to his website, 300 rebuild = bore, hone, piston kit. Dune port would be another 300. When I had mine done, I paid shipping to him. He then charged me for return shipping at the same time when I paid for the rest of the services. Makes it easy. It was about 25-30 each way insurance and all.

Are the cases sticky?

No problem man. I hope it is not your issue. I have not put my pancake in yet, just Scottie's, but it is was really easy. Mine is going in as soon as I get my new clutch.

I have nothing to compare it too, but I got my HS HD's they work ok. They are a little soft and seem to be wearing fast. I am going to try Knarly HT or Fast Trekkers for my next set.

Well it could be an adjustment issue, but you can easily find out. Take the pressure plate off, and pull out the adjustment screw. Then try digging out the bearing and rod with a strong magnet. If it is welded, you may get lucky like we did and the ball, and rod will pull out with the screw. If not, this is when you have to split the case. You have lift that shaft up and pull the rod out the other end. Like LS1 says in that post I gave you, the opposite end of the rod can mushroom and won't come out. While you have the pressure plate off, Put a $30 pancake bearing in and you wont have to worry about this again.

When my homies welded together, his clutch lever was limp. We first noticed it when you would pull the lever to put it in gear, the clutch would not fully disengage and the bike would jump forward and die. I have heard rolling down hills with the clutch pulled in can cause it, and also high revs with the clutch pulled in. Not sure what else can cause it. The lever can also seize. Either way, your bike will stay in gear and you can not disengage the clutch. The actuator has nothing to push in to the disengage the clutch. This was what I pulled out of Scottie's motor. http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...;hl=welded+ball This was the OG thread http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...pancake+bearing

I have to give props on this DVD. Very well produced, great sound and high quality video. Has TONS of info in it. We moved a TV out in the garage so we could follow along with it.

Also, when you say the actuator does not move, Can you move it by hand? If the adjustment screw is turned out, You should be able to move the arm freely. If not, it can be a rod and ball issue. If so, make sure you are pulling the actuator towards you as you make the adjustment. If you pull on the actuator while pushing on the center adjustment bolt, the rod, ball, and adjustment screw should slide in and out freely. Just a matter of lining it all up. A second pair of hands comes in handy with this part.

Does the R1 use a stock pressure plate? I made a simple mistake and did not line the arrows up on the front of the plate with the basket marks. It did not fall all the way into place. Took it all apart before realizing this.

I made mine out of heater hose from auto part store. Find one with a snug fit, cut it to the size you need, and then use 2 hose clamps to hold it on. Cost me $8.

BelRay MC1 race synth.....50:1 I use it b/c of the brand, and easy to measure. Just dump 1 little thing into a 5 gal tank. Never had a issue.

Site Issues, Premium Members, Lack Of Upgrades
DallasGDub replied to Onesickcrewcab's topic in Roostin' Room
It is no secret I think the search sucks ass. Yes it could use a upgrade and yes it should be addressed. Anyone that is PAYING has the right to want change. I do find it funny that the most common response is "use the search" when they know it sucks. Everything needs attention and maintenance. Pay the people that run it more cash for motivation, or hiring outside help if your plate is full. It will only bring in more people and keep others around. Takes money to make money. Yes, If that person makes it possible to get the info I need. We do it everyday. I think of it like what else could I spend $2 $3 per-month on and get the same amount of service? Not much of anything. Even the entertainment drama has a small value. MJ and Daj made my afternoon at work each day fly by this week. I am not disagreeing with anyone, I am saying the reason why I like the site and pay for it. This site made me buy a banshee. This site made it possible to own it and rebuild it, and afford to upgrade it. True it was the people of the site. But the site is like a endless banshee seminar and the membership is the cost of of admission. Worth it. Not to mention that I have personally put over 2k in other Members pockets in the last 6 months buying parts. So again....3 bucks is change to what I saved. -
Site Issues, Premium Members, Lack Of Upgrades
DallasGDub replied to Onesickcrewcab's topic in Roostin' Room
I pay for the site to keep it going b/c of what I get out of it that is shee related. (buying, selling, trouble shooting, answers, ext.....) Never really cared about the looks, or extras. Some sites will not let you search, send/rec msg's, or even see all the threads without upgrading. The little cost for upgrading was not a huge dent to keep a good thing going with/without the bells and whistles. More like a donation. -
He is right, hard to tell without taking some measurements what kind of port it is. But from the looks of quality of work, it looks clean. Who cares what it looks like., How does it run?
-
That would explain the clutch cable from FAST as well. It was about 3/4" to long.

I hate to see this shit happen anywhere, but it is even worse to see it on someone here. http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...=112068&hl=
