  1. The bottom tube is the overflow tube from the rad. The top tube does not connect to anything else. It is breather/overflow tube for the bottle itself. The bottom tube will spit fluid out in the bottle, then once the bike cools off, it sucks it back in the same tube. This was stated before. Your right, you do not have to do a plug chop, but you do have to check the plugs the right way. NOT ride it around normal. Put in new plugs, WOT through the gears, Kill the bike while in 6th, and roll to a stop. Pull the plugs, get a flashlight and look down inside the plug. Should be a med dark choco ring around the white electrode. If it is a light color, your lean. That simple. If you can not see it, then chop the top off. Bring extra plugs to get you back just in case. It is all trouble shooting. You elminate one reason at a time. We can't just point and say this is the reason your heating up. Start with the easy, and fig out if your lean. If not, people will be able to move on to the next step.
  2. Great guy. Very good prices and parts.
  3. So God was talking to Adam and asked "Where is Eve?" Adam answered "She's in the river taking a bath" God said "Great, I am never getting that smell out of the fish" thank you....I'm here all day.
  4. Their is a drain screw on the side of each jug, it gets most of the water out of the head. Whatever is left, wont really make a big diff. Engine ice is what I like to use in hot ass TX heat.
  5. Welcome..nice bike. The sky is the limit....well your pockets are the limit really.....I think Yamaha was onto something and that's why they made the stock shee so bland, but full of potential. That is probably why it never changed. Marketing Marvels!!!!
  6. I agree. I never idle long enough to worry about it and I have dust in my overflow bottle. I don't think it has ever over heated. I really only "idle" when I take it off the trailer to let it warm up. Other than that, it is pretty much off when I am stopped. I do idle on some down hills, and those short moments in the trails when I have to figure out where the hell I am/going. But it is very short.
  7. Is this the same Mechanic that gave you advise on tors? You can cut the back wall of your old air box out and fab it into bottle mount.
  8. The ODI lock on have a plastic inside that come out about 1/4" on each side. The end caps lock onto this, you then tighten it down and it clamps the entire grip tight to the bar, not just the end. The grips is black, but you can get diff color clamps. Mine are just like the one I posted in the pics, they are polished. I have them on black bars, and the ends really stand out and look good. The black end cap with the ODI logo is optional. You do not have to put this in. It is just plastic. The clamps are made of aluim.
  9. I bet Nitrotate can PCoat glossy, Brass or Copper color. You can get copper bolts and polish the edges so they have a tarnished look to it. Tate can also use masking to get 2 tones on parts as well like bolt on parts and misc shit.
  10. Use rivets, and clamps to hold the plastics on also gives it an industrial look.
  11. I thought about doing a Mad Maxx theme on a dirt bike one time. But I sold it. Like showing frame parts, very little plastic, real mechanical post nuke look.
  12. ODI Rouge lock on's.
  13. E2S works for me.
  14. Neglect instead of loose chain.
  15. damn I voted before I seen the question. I threw mine from neglect. I power washed an oring chain and did not realize it blew half the rings out. Next trip out, it kept coming off. It had a shit load of side to side play.
  16. A young boy went up to his father and asked him, 'Dad, what is the difference between 'potentially' and 'realistically' ?' The father thought for a moment, then answered, 'Go ask your mother if she would sleep with Brad Pitt for a million dollars. Then ask your sister if she would sleep with Brad Pitt for a million dollars, and then ask your brother if he'd sleep with Brad Pitt for a million dollars. Come back and tell me what you learn from that. So the boy went to his mother and asked, 'Would you sleep with Brad Pitt for a million dollars?' The mother replied, 'Of course I would! We could really use that money to fix up the house and send you kids t o a great University!' The boy then went to his sister and asked, 'Would you sleep with Brad Pitt for a million dollars?' The girl replied, 'Oh my Gawd! I LOVE Brad Pitt I would sleep with him in a heartbeat, are you nuts?' The boy then went to his brother and asked, 'Would you sleep with Brad Pitt for a million dollars?' 'Of course,' the brother replied. 'Do you know what a million bucks would buy?' The boy pondered the answers for a few days and then went back to his dad. His father asked him, 'Did you find out the difference between 'potentially' and 'realistically' ?' The boy replied, 'Yes, 'Potentially' , you and I are sitting on three million dollars . But 'realistically' , we're living with two hookers and a homo.'
  17. Your still rockin that busted ass filter? Priorities. Even if it is a new stock uni-filter, get something. Only adjust your pilots if you can not get the idle correct with the airscrew. If you go FULL OPEN on your screw and it is still off, time to move up in size. That is the easiest way to know if you are off on your pilot jet. Main jetting is different for everyone and every mod. You can just really get a starting point. No one can tell you what you will need exactly. If you think you can leave the main jet alone, and go slow, your in for trouble
  18. My new set up has cut plastic as well, but I am not ready to post pics of that just yet. :ninja: Here is my old set up.
  19. Welcome!!! Those PT's are great in trails. It is a very punchy pipe. I loved mine. If you ride trails, I would say shocks and arms are a good move, however, the cost is all at once. So get your power plant right and the way you like it first. You can do a little at a time, like carbs, timing, porting, head, ext....it is easier on your budget.
  20. I have know idea about the stroke on a 420 kit, but know 1 way you can measure the stroke to see if it is stock with the head on. Just measure TDC to BDC with the drop probe on a caliper thru the plug hole. If you can not Zero out your caliper at TDC, just make a note of what you start with, and minus the diff from what you end up with. 54mm is stock stroke. If Trintiy heads are like other brands, they will etch the size of the dome on the side of the dome itself. I am sure someone will be able to tell you if they do it this way or not.
  21. We are down to go whenever, but I do not want my first trip to LS be during snake hunt.
  22. Wow, did not think the guy in the vid would be the type to have $400 stock pipes sale. both eqaully WTFCRAZY. lol....
  23. Thank's JB and the rest of the crew that made that bike possible. Much props!
  24. I used Blue Removable (it is in a red tube lol). It was @ Lowes in the glue section.
