  1. what the hell.. i have a stock set on the shelf.. i have a 392 cub motor i can try them on.. let me know if u want me to sendem in..
  2. ok.. this is a perfect thread for me to chime in on.. i have a 392 cub motor on my play.trail bike... yes its fun, especially with a +2 swinger. i have 33mm pwks, cpi inframes, 20cc domes , pump gas, +6 timing. vforce 2's. lockout, and dunable overide.. power down low is not stump pulling impressive, but up top is insane.. with the timing and 33 carbs it is fairly snappy, not near as snappy as stock jugs though.. with my riding style it is ok for me..i always keep my bike on the pipe as much as possible anyway.. when u hit a big field or open space you can really get down... so far so good.. yea, it could use a little low end, but with the arm ripping topend i can comprimise.. its hard to get the best of both worlds with a 2 stroke.. give a little and gain a lot.. have fun with it.
  3. got the bike together and installed it.. i am using the direct drive lockout.. while idling and low rpms i am hearing a slight chatter noise from under the clutch cover.. is this noise from the fingers on the lockout spinning around and tapping the clutch pressure plate?? do you guys with lockouts ever notice this?
  4. sand, sand, sand.. work your way up to a 1000 grit.. get those wheels smooothe.. then a regular polish (mothers) will make them look like chrome..
  5. aircraft stripper will take powdercoat off.. it takes a couple coats/scrape/coat/scrape.. but it will work.. i always beadblast the stock finish off.. but the aircraft stripper will work... good luck.. and if u need them powdercoated let me know..
  6. yes. it does have an overide in it now.. i am just now switching over to the overide and lockout.. the steals are not that old at all.. just thought i could sandem a little and be good to go..
  7. ok. i have smoke a brand new clutch in one summer.. i am switching over to a lockout with fzr1000 fibers, but i am resuing the clutch steals... should i use some fine sandpaper to ruff up the steels a little?? they are very glazed over.. what should i do? usem the way they are or ruffem up a little??

  9. i have that same setup on mine.. i love the setup for trail riding.. 35 is not too big..
  10. hmmm.. any chance that you use the stock adjuster nut and bolt with the pusher?? i have one on its way so i am interested in any tips.. i assume that the bearing goes beween the pusher and the washer that is supplied?

  16. so i rpped off some decals and swapped out some plastic.. i still gotta decide on a new seat cover, any suggestions?? so what ya think?

  18. you sure its not a 4mm crank??? soemone would have had to cut a lot of metal of the cylinder decks for it to look like that

  20. i think that modquad should replace these inferior impellers that tehy made with the aluminum shafts.. they are aware that they were junk from obviously changing the shaft.. so they should replace the impeller that only laster me about 3 rides... thats just bad business.. i will call them and see what i can get done

  22. i am hearing below 100psi. but i have ran them lower than that..
  23. stay away from modquad... like said, mind wore a groove in the shaft in about 3 rides... JUNK.. and if they are now maing the shaft out of stainless steel instead of aluminum, they should replace all the aluminum ones they sold that people like me bought... i stil have mine. if they wanna swap it out for the better stainless shaft design i would be more than willing to send it back.
  24. but on chart 2 everything else seems to be a smoother linear curve for tourqe and hp.. not as eratic as chart 1
  25. chart 2 shows a good little dip in power and tourqe right above 6k, but the numbers on the card do not represent this.. seems a lil fishy..
