  1. 5200 feet above sea level is nothing to ignore. I'm only at 3600 feet and I had to change the needle on my motocross bike with a fatter one. Man, what a difference! It runs real crisp now! You can ignore me if you want, no sweat off my back. I was just trying to help.
  2. Why people ignore the needle is beyond me. Dropping it is sometimes OK if the elevation isn't too much, but for 3000 and above the needle has to be changed out with one that has a larger diameter so that the flow area between it and its jet is reduced (making it "leaner") so that its not too rich for the first half throttle. Look at http://www.sudco.com/vol33/56-59.pdf to see the many varieties of needles for Mikuni.
  3. At higher elevations you have to change the needle. tell me whats in it and I may be able to give you a recommendation
  4. Anyone know what needle to buy equal to the DynoJet stage 2 needle?
  5. I'm glad you can get humor out of a serious statement made by our racer. But this topic isn't about my web site, it's about this modification I would like to have tested on Banshees.
  6. Please see my new reed valve modification at www.turbo1racing.com/reedvalve.html that needs testing and review. I can do this mod for free for two people who are using a different reed valve and have the old stock ones collecting dust. I'd like it to be tested on one Banshee with higher exhaust ports and one with normal porting. Any takers?
  7. It's for a friends Banshee overseas. I'll see what info I can dig up from this site. thanks guys!
  8. well, for a high rpm banshee how should the transfers match the raised exhaust port?
  9. If someone raises their exhaust port 2 mm then is a small raising (~ .5mm) of the transfer port helpful also?
