  1. #1 - It doesn't take much looking on this site to find plenty of info on the 4's. #2 - You will need to run a 27.5 pilot at the least. No a stock pilot won't work. If you are doing a top end and don't have porting....try the Vito's super stock pistons. They add about 7 HP for your combo and act like mild porting.
  2. You don't need oversized bowls for a motor running stock carbs. (especially on gas) The only thing that even remotely would need an oversized bowl would be an alky bike because they flow twice the fuel rate of gas.
  3. ^^^ Correct and ^^^^ Correct. If you want one re-wound Gary is your man. If you want to buy new Racetech (Evan) is your guy.
  4. Well building a banshee to handle 375 pounds isn't going to be cheap and even with a big motor your still not going to get the kind of 4-stroke torque that your going to need. Your better off going with a Raptor 700 with a Turbo. A 421 Serval isn't even close to what your going to need. Mike (LSM1977) is a bigger guy and he's running a 10 mill Serval and it's just barely getting the job done. He's had to do a lot of custom dome work and timing experimenting to find a combo he likes. Your weight is what it is. Your not a good candidate for a 2-stroke. Big 4-strokes are your friend. If you don't like the costs it's going to take to go faster........lay off the cheeseburgers.
  5. Best looking front bumper for a Banshee is hands down the Duncan. (I does give when you hit stuff hard, but that keeps the frame from bending) As for strength up front the PRM is my second favorite. It's aluminum, but you can get black so you can rattle can the touch-ups. For the rear the PRM is all I will run. The flag mount tab is super strong and the design of the grab bar is perfect.
  6. My 9 year old daughter has shoes with a color like that! Are you building a Hello Kitty theme bike? That looks sick alright. (I checked the official rules on the ManCard website and colors that can be described as "Glittery or Shimmery" as expressly forbidden.)
  7. Fox floats on the front.....but stock head, stock carbs with the TORS still in place and even a stock bumper? That build isn't on the usual path.......
  8. LMFAO I forgot aout that post! I must have made you laugh with that one for you to remember it. I forgot about it and was cracking up when you re-posted it. (So I guess I crack myself up.)
  9. $5000 + your Banshee was a temping offer.... But I'm worried about my liability selling a machine with this much power to a rider of your caliber. Instead.....Let me forward you pics of my wife's bike.........
  10. Little known secrete......the last model you ever want to buy is a Limited Edition. (They all come with a special color package to make them look cool, but they are really de-tuned models for the starter riders.) Always buy a regular model as they are the more powerful Unlimited Editions. I don't want an ATV with any factory preset limits. My bike is a 350 twin. (Says so on the stickers so I don't even have to ask cause I can add and that's 700 right there brother.) Plus I bored each cylinder 80 over. So my motor was a 860. I think my timing is at +6 now......so I think that put it at about a 866. Next I'm getting some 19 cc domes. So that should add another 38cc's. So buy late spring my ride will be a 904. (I will be putting a beatdown on all you 421 cub owners, since your only running 842cc's to my stealthy 904 stock cylinder bike.) My Bike has a wicked powerful motor with all the right add-on's for power. I'm running a FMF Turbine Charger pipe system, I run a ported and polished boost bottle for max boost as well as +6 timing to cut down on my 0-60 times, So any of you fools who think your piped 700 can run with my piped, turbine powered, boosted, beast....bring your stack of cash and meet me. No one can beat me because my bike is so well tuned. I don't have any dyno sheets, but I spared no expense. The bike was dialed in right because I'm running the DynoFS ignition box with adjustable settings. So unlike all you NOOBS....I got my shit dyno tuned on my first trip out. (Mine has 4 settings but I set mine on the #1 settings because I like to WIN!) If anyone is interested in my BAD ride speak now. I'm listing it on Ebay in July for $6500 (Better deal than buying a new 700cc Craptor) But I'll sell to a site member for $6100 if they buy it this month. PM me for more details on the wicked time travel violator.
  11. Dan, Screw that soap and water bullshit! Just spray a whole bottle of starter fluid into the intakes (or use oxyacetylene) then pressurize. Wave a match all around the motor. If you get a nice strong flame....you can trace it right to the leak.
  12. Go blow it up so we can start talking you into a $2000-$2500 motor build. Wait....never mind. I see Raptor plastics so your officially on your own.
  13. Damn you beat me to it. Yes Clark made a dual valve tank. (it was featured in the Jan 07 dirtwheels.) Back then it was $170.....
  14. ^^^^^ Me Three. Same with the wife's bike. Ball joint style. Not heims.
  15. If it's leaking from the flanges even after getting new O-rings........you might have ridden them way too long with worn out O-rings or even bad springs or mounts. Your pipes may have worn your cylinders at the cylinder exhaust flange to the point where they are now too small to seal with the exhaust pipe flanges.
  16. Funny man....but I could see that one coming a mile away. I'll let the next guy guess, just how YOU "turn on your pet cocks."
  17. Sent from my PB99400 using Tapatalk 2 Well, just found out I got f'd into working nights that weekend. Looks like I'll have to try for next time Too bad. Well go earn the green so you have cash for the April 4th trip instead.
  18. I couldn't agree more. And if your truly a beginner......have hime build and dyno tune the thing for you so the jetting is good. That way you stand less of a chance at burning it up and a better chance of getting a smooth running machine with all the power it's capable of. REDLINE RACING FTW!
  19. Elka Dune Editions if you want to feel nothing. Works if you want a quick budget replacement for your Shaws and less pogo stick feel.
  20. How drastically? Like....."With age comes the cage" drastic?
  21. I seal mine with the "O-ring spray" from Noss or Chariot. The kit comes with a Kool Head, so I can eliminate the head gasket. Works great every time.
