Ummm I believe part of the deal is that he skimmed the money for cancer research for himself. (Started a second website that was .net instead of .com and all the .net money went in his pocket.) Even still....the money that was collected correctly from his cancer charity had very little payout towards actual research. What he did was promote Cancer awareness..........WTF is that about....like we hadn't heard cancer was bad?

Clearly your memory sucks. 5 years ago $400 was a good USED price. Now if your going to insist that you paid $400....i'm going to say invoice/receipt or STFU. (If you bought them and paid for 3 sets....somebody can find a 5 year old invoice. I run a business and I can find a 7 year old one in less than 15 min.) 3 sets for $400 each.....Yep. Your pulling that price right out of the Blue Sky. You bought them from a dealer didn't you? So.....dealers just like to buy product for full price and sell it under cost because.........your special? -
Go up one size on your pilot.

$400 new?.......No. -
At age 40 you should spend the 10 hours learing how to use your computer. With it you could have researched Kenny O. Then you would know why your getting the Epic Facepalm. Porting IS NOT grinding aluminum. It IS NOT copying a template. It is about understanding how the whole system works from airflow to port timings to the effects the pipe has. Nobody ever learned anything worth while from a Youtube video. On second thought......grind away Ace. Everyone pays for their education. Some go to school and other go to the school of hard knocks. Let class begin.....

My WCR "Pro Mod " trans does that.....so I'm assuming they are about the same? (But Cam just said his modded stocker will shift full throttle without lifting....so which is it?)

Banshee gurus please help

X2 27.5 is a stone cold lock on the pilot. Main won't be any bigger than a 280. -
Sorry but that is silly. Don't run 18" tires and try to set landspeed records. Don't run mega gearing....if your bike is powerful enough to pull a 7th gear...then it doesn't need a 13 tooth front sprocket. Put a 14 or 15 on there and don't worry about re-inventing the transmission.

REDLINE RACING Call Cameron and he'll guide you through your choices. He posts lots of his dyno runs in the dyno section for you to look at. All his stuff runs like it should and he always delivers when he says he will. Only call you need to make......

Ummm... yeah...ok. Your builder can't jet your bike for you. He can set it up fat enough that you won't burn down. But if your use to riding a Banshee and not doing any tuning, then your not riding a very impressive Banshee. 80 HP needs an owner that can read a plug and adjust as the weather requires. "Builder jetting" isn't gong to let some noob treat his 80 HP bike like a stocker and ride it from 100 degrees down to 30. My wife's bike makes 63HP and the jetting is SPOT ON! But as the weather changes I make airscrew adjustments to keep it mint. 1/4 to 1/2 turn can make a world of difference if it's dialed in. One main jet size too big...and the bike drops to 57HP.
-
Most of those are only hitting high 70's. LOL The bigger issue isn't building 80-90 HP... It's about tuning it. You can't go from owning a mostly stock bike that only requires fuel and oil, to an 80+ HP bike without also knowing how to keep it happy. Anyone can own a cat....but if your going to buy a tiger, you better damn well know what your doing. Let's put it this way.....If you can't tell us the size of your main and pilot jets, needle placement, compresion and squish measurement of your current motor......then your dreaming of a motor that's a little over your head. Learning hard tuning lessons on a high dollar tiger motor can be costly lessons. Learn on a kitten motor and build and tune it to run like a fast cat. (get what you have into the 60's first.)

Steering stabilizer?

Mine runs out the front left side ahead of the shock. I've never seen it mounted your way...but any way you do it, it works. -
Steering stabilizer?
WINDYCITYJOHN400 replied to general_lee_banshee's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I won't own a bike without one. World of difference. Less abuse and cuts your chances of a broken/jammed wrist in half. -
New from Evan FTW! Clicky the link http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=157853

RTE (Race Tech Electric) Evan sells a new one that's great and has a better price than stock. (see product reviews section ) Otherwise buy stock or have your rewound.

Ok. That about covers it. LOL. The horse is now definitely clearly dead. (unless that jockey shows his head again.)

VForce 4's, Does it need rejetting?
WINDYCITYJOHN400 replied to Uf21's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
If you were jetted correctly before.....you will need to be one size larger on your pilot after switching to V4's. Regardless of elevation. That's why I say "If you were jetted correctly". Now if your jetting is way off now....like jetted fat. You might be fine. But if your bike was dialed in and running good. Go up one pilot size. -

WINDYCITYJOHN400 replied to robert0762's topic in General Banshee Discussion
You look like a taller guy. (Like me.) Start with some bar risers or a longer stem. If your putting that much abuse into your bars....your riding posture is part of the issue. Pulling force on the bars should be UP not Back. (Like your trying to pull the stem out of the bike. Pushing force should be DOWN not FORWARD. (Like your trying to push the stem out the bottom of the bike.) The crossbar is there to help prevent the bars from bending up or down. You want the force to stay in line with the crossbar and the clamping area. When you roll bars forward, the crossbar has zero effect. (Notice when your bars broke, they broke at the clamp first, then the crossbar cracked at the mount because the bar was pushed forward. A steering stabilizer will lessen the abuse the bars get in the rough stuff and will lower the abuse your arms take as well. I've got 20+ years of Rental use with no issues. (One set is 15 years old.....I really should freshen those up. LOL) One set of Moose bars...but those were on a 400EX and that bike was built for rolling. LOL
