Hey Wes...I have 2 Badlands trips planned. One April 20th and the other May 4th. I was going to start a post about an HQ ride. I thought the May 4th trip would be a good date for a big ride. (give people more time to get machines back together. LOL) What do you think?

We have V4's now! Welcome back. I have a Badlands trip planned for April 20th. Your welcome to join us.

3 Bonus points for originality. LMAO

You have two pieces of hard plastic that act as bushings and mounts at top of the frame. They have 2 small round rubber type rings that insert in the plastic mount to seal junk out of it. Then the metal piece with the cable guides goes on like a big flat washer. Then a bolt on the stator side and the special bolt with a long nut on the end goes on the clutch side and acts as your top radiator mount. Hope I was able to help a little....it all your going to get at this hour. LOL

For a beginner?..........a 700 is best. Raptor 700 that is.

Well that solves a long standing debate! User error is the cause for all the issues. Gotta get the right silencer on the right stinger pipe. That's the test....If your pipes are on and fit...your fit to own them. If they don't fit.....maybe you need a YouTube video or something. LOL

Belongs in the tanned and jacked thread I guess.

Women love a guy with confidence. Even if he's a total fruit cake, loon. This guy starts with the whole Negative attention is better than No attention concept, then gets the girls sucked in by going ALL IN on the gag and owning it. Then again.....the girls who were drawn to that guy aren't the kind you want to mix your life with.....because those chicks have issues. LOL

It's the job guys. Anyone who deals with the public all day gets worn down by it. It's a simple job....but all day you have people making the same small talk that lasts 3 min. Next guy has the same thing to say. After a while you don't even want to talk to people because you were having a private thought in your head and some fool needs to interrupt it with some chatter about the weather or whatever. So I can see why they go postal..........but having said that, I've done work in a post office (Fixing the broken A/C) and those women are the biggest bitches EVER! A/C was out for a total of 10 hours and she called some FEMA department and they were demanding that temporary portable A/C units be brought in! (They can't be required to work in in-humane work conditions) I'm like....Hey....I'm working in the same place trying to fix the A/C and you don't see me having a hissy fit. This gal was trying to visit every federal agency down on my ass just because the A/C broke. FEMA was ready to start fining people if the portable units were not brought in. I told the FEMA guy that I'll have the unit replaced faster than I could go rent units. The building owner finally told the FEMA guy that "Due to this bullshit....I'm not renewing your lease." Then he told all the other postal employees that the one gals attitude is going to be the reason that postal branch closes, so enjoy loosing your federal jobs! See....now you know why people walk into work and start shooting. LMAO

New Skins For My New Suspension Set Up

Taken from an article "It's not about the lab rats" that painted him as more of a guy building a brand around himself with the donation money, than a person really effecting any research or change. Here is an excerpt.... IN ONE CASE, ARMSTRONG himself stood to profit from the sale of a major Livestrong asset: its name. Most people are unaware that there are two Livestrong websites. Livestrong.org is the site for the nonprofit Lance Armstrong Foundation, while Livestrong.com is a somewhat similar-looking page that features the same Livestrong logo and design but is actually a for-profit content farm owned by Demand Media. In 2008, the foundation licensed the Livestrong brand name to Demand, the online media company behind eHow and Cracked.com, among other properties. Livestrong.com was positioned as a “health, fitness, and wellness community,” offering an online calorie counter, exercise and yoga videos, and articles about such topics as “What Are the Signs and Symptoms of Rejecting Belly Button Rings?” As compensation for the use of its name, the foundation received about 183,000 shares of stock, which it sold for $3.1 million when the company went public in January 2011. Armstrong also received 156,000 shares of his own as part of a spokesperson agreement. (His agents, Bill Stapleton and Bart Knaggs, also received shares.) After the deal was criticized in the media, Armstrong donated his initial sale proceeds—roughly $1.2 million—to the foundation and said he planned to donate the rest, too. - See more at: http://www.outsideonline.com/outdoor-adventure/athletes/lance-armstrong/Its-Not-About-the-Lab-Rats.html?page=10#sthash.DwdEPaFg.dpuf

back fires at first kick HEEEEEEELP
WINDYCITYJOHN400 replied to booxzzy's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Well CDI'S usualy totaly fail, not just the timing retard on start-up. So if he rode the bike right up to his brother....then went to restart it and was getting backfires.......that tells me the flywheel spun while he was riding. I'm not PROMISING that it's flywheel. But he should check that FIRST before he starts looking at anything else because I see way too many people start swapping electrical stuff, when the signs point to a bike with the timing advanced....not failing. -

WINDYCITYJOHN400 replied to booxzzy's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Backfires are almost always a sign of a timing issue. (it's sparking too far before Top Dead Center.) The CDI retards the timing on start-up. It's possible your CDI has gone bad....but it's more likely that your flywheel spun. It's happened to literaly every bike in our group at one time or another. If your reved out, got off the gas and backloaded it hard....the flywheel wants to keep spinning but the crank doesn't. Next thing you know you roll the key. Check that first before you go buying CDI'S and swapping stuff. Let me know what you find. -
If they are white plastics, I always have good results from "Soft Scrub with Bleach" it takes out the yellowed stains with ease. If you wet the bike down and just use the Soft Scrub straight like applying a liquid wax, then scrub and buff a little, then rinse....they will look almost new again.

You clearly stated that Boyesens were better than V-4's. That's interesting because that would imply that the Boyesens are better than V-3's and V-4's since 4's out perform the 3's. Here Steven, here is an independant dyno curve for you to look at that shows the 4's making more power across the whole curve. (You may not know how to read a dyno curve so I'll just tell you that in that 7400 to 8000 spot your seeing as much as a 7HP increase.) Plus there is the whole 4 extra peak HP, as well as the better over rev. I'm not even sure if in this test they re-jetted the bike....because the motors all need one size larger pilot jet with the 4's due to the better airflow at low and mid RPMs. So I don't know who the builders your talking to are....but I'll bet you none of them are selling Boyesens as their first choice of reeds these days. Any time you can buy an extra 4-7 HP thru almost the entire RPM band that you engine is used in......and do it for just $200......DO IT!
-
For an even better trick....spend the money on a clutch/flywheel tool.
-
your CDI can mount with velcro right to the back of your tank. (between the seat and tank there is room.) Makes it easy to remove without tools and also a breeze for testing different CDI's if your having an issue.

graydons with 35's show up all the time on Ebay. It's really the best design out there.
-
Well....get one of those girls you were talking about to play jockey on your banshee instead of jock jockey. LOL It's always the events that friends and family show up to where the wheels fall off. I feel ya though.......I've played gigs for YEARS (drummer) Big gig downtown Chicago at "The Cubbie Bear" that a ton of family desides to attend and first song in.....by base drum peddle breaks. I'VE NEVER BROKEN ONE OF THOSE! I'm left kicking the drum with my foot....till the drum head breaks. WTF!

Do you really want the top end rebuild by the dealer? (They usually sub out all the machine work anyway) They aren't really set up to do much more that parts swapping......

Chrome or nickled shearer pipes
WINDYCITYJOHN400 replied to astewart's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Dumb is thinking that in the information age, that people don't have the ability to reach out and contact the major players in your story. (John Safarian and Mat Shearer) I have this amazing tool that I can use to post here on HQ.....I also can use it to surf the internet.....it's my phone. Know what else it works good for?........Yeah...USING AS A PHONE! So as I said before....post up your invoice from Blue Sky Industries for $400 NEW for 3 sets of chrome shearer pipes....or stop talking out your ass. It's one thing to post about something and others think differently about it. But it's completely different to pull shit out of the blue sky and post it......then follow it up by talking out your ass so much that your asshole needs chapstick. [ YOU DID NOT BUY NEW PIPES FOR $400 ] End of story. -
So......you can coach us on how to light the right girls fire.....but your banshee's not having any of it? Maybe your Banshee is MALE and doesn't want to be ridden by a guy. LOL
