  1. Everybody ran big ass pipes on something with "no problems".......... FFS Just because it RAN and didn't blow up doesn't mean it worked good. Will it work? Sure. Will putting a big ass set of pioes on a little motor hurt it's performance? FFS...You had to ask? If you don't know the answer.....don't bother asking. Just be like everone else and run them since you own them........just don't report back about how "the bike RIPS! " because that's not knowing what power is missing.
  2. Mine is a Blaster piston. (It's a 370 Long Rod motor)
  3. LOL ^^^THIS^^^ They start top fuel cars from the supercharger belt. Stands to reason someone would dream up trying a drill. Try a nice Milwaukee right angle drill. LOL
  4. The young adult male often believes that Ego, Adrenaline and Testosterone are capable of flowing into inanimate object such as steering wheels, handlebars, video game controls, accelerator pedals, etc. That truck was under the control of a superhero. Clearly his only mistake was leaving his cape at home. LOL
  5. Those are some oddly shaped "Heal Guards"
  6. 66.5 is widely seen as the max. (But mine are 66.75 right now)
  7. Yes it's useless. Bench testing compression is a joke. A good builder will calculate the compression, then back up the calculations with an actual measurement. (You were told how to do it.) Liquid measurement of the compression volume is 10 times more informative than kicking compression anyway. Kicking compression is the common man's way of getting a close idea of what is going on compression wise. A liquid measurement is the only way to truly do it effectively. On another topic - if you raised your exhaust port 2mm over that last motors porting.......you just tossed out all your bottom end power and now need a drag pipe to match your porting. BIGGER IS NOT ALWAYS BETTER.
  8. Tire size, style, paddle count, gearing are all vital pieces of info needed.
  9. For an air cooled Blaster.......
  10. If your duning it's not an issue. I have +2 arms on my wife's bike and her dune tires are also hard offsets. So that bike is damn wide. No issues in sand. Plus it's VERY stable when drifting and side hilling.
  11. You will never make enough power to justify those 12 paddles without MAJOR internal work. Those will actually make you MUCH SLOWER than even knobbies for the motor you have. Sell them. Don't be in a rush. Do some research and read here more.
  12. The Badlands offroad park in Attica Indiana.
  13. Or you can have Passion port them and they will go slower. Follow THIS advice. ^^^
  14. Value of Trinity MX pro porting on a set of stock cylinders = Willing to GIVE them away.
  15. This does't even make sense. The tranny is in a bath of oil, not 2-stroke mix. I PROMISE his tranny saw more force and abuse from being IN the throttle than OUT. Sounds like he let his fluid go too long between changes. Also….when you are coasting down a hill with the motor backloaded, the motor is still running, so you are getting fuel and oil into the motor. Hell I know people who forgot to mix oil in the fuel, but since they ran a quality oil normally…the motor survived. So backloading for a little while is nothing. (Unless your pilot and airscrews are tuned for shit……which is common.)
  16. Well let me put it this way……WAY too many Banshee owners only tune main jets. Or they get a bike and figure "Since it is running, it must be dialed in from the last owner." My point is, once you remove an air box or a lid, or put pipes on a bike MOST of them need to go straight to 27.5 pilots. Now it's true that a built motor can end up wanting so much air that the signal strength pulls a ton of fuel up a jet and you end up needing to go DOWN on jets to get the tune right. But in general I believe that (In the interest of providing a good starting point) it's better to assume that once modded….the 27.5 or even a 30 needs to be in place until proven otherwise. I have YET to see a simple bolt on pipe mod done that DIDN'T need at least a 27.5 pilot. But that doesn't mean that once more mods were done that a different pilot didn't end up being needed. YOU ARE CORRECT. I cannot just make a blanket statement like that. But I still will. Only because SO MANY people are running too small of a pilot. Plus being jetted rich is way better in the long run for a novice tuner than to be lean. After all…….If you're well versed at tuning…..you aren't going to need to listen to my input anyway right? But for anyone else reading who has pipes and a stock pilot…..or DON'T KNOW what their pilot is…….My advice is get at least some 27.5's in there unless you're certain WHY the 25's are best.
  17. So......has everyone answered your question with enough detail for you to believe us yet? As I said before.....RACETECH FTW!
  18. Case texturizing is an old builders trick that is now getting more publicity thanks to the internet. All my motors are texturized. It isn't a big HP thing. But it keeps everything in suspension better. Tear down a stock motor.....you find a puddle of oil/fuel in the bottom. Tear down a texturized motor......you don't.
  19. ........and he didn't like MY sarcasm. LOL
  20. Parts depot IS Trinity racing. Run far. Run fast. Call one of the site sponsors.
  21. I always forget that noobs can't see member ranking from their phones........ As for you ^^^....if it's fucks you want...just bring your coupons. Tomorrow is buy one/get one day.
  22. Look at the post counts of people telling you to stay away from that company. Look at the post count of the one guy who says he owns one that's working. Noob asks question Soldier says his works Generals says run away and buy stock, racetech or have site member Gary rewind one for you. Listen to whoever you want. ZERO is the fucks I give now.
  23. ANY BRAND PIPE installation requires 27.5 pilots. Pluss you will want to read up on airscrew adjustments. NOTE: The dealer knows nothing.
  24. Just stop! Finding ONE person with one that works is NOT a ringing endorsement. Contact RaceTech. They are a site sponsor and make a quality product. You are working hard at talking yourself into making a bad choice.
