  1. OMG.....Your the guy who rigged extra mud flaps and you STILL can't run pods?!?!? Try closing your legs instead of riding in the missionary position. Your tank in front of your seat should be clean from your knees rubbing it as you work around on the bike. Nevermind. Run your airbox. The picture I quoted above is a bike that ran for HOURS in a GNCC type race. If your "MX track" is that wet.......then it's not a very good racing surface anyway. Tracks are supposed to be "Tacky" not soupy.
  2. You start making a set of nerfs, with a pro peg mount, metal healguards, a nice design, room for kicking, and huge oversized footpegs like some of the GNCC guys run on the 4-strokes, that have replaceable metal traction cages and the Banshee world will beat a path to your door.
  3. The exhaust edge is dropped to simulate porting. You get peak power like you have, with better bottom end. Add a 4mill crank and you have an even nicer package. Then LATER when you have the money, you can get ported cylinders with normal pistons and custom cut domes and make even more power. But that way the budget stays manageable and you don't do stuff multiple times.
  4. You all just made my list! LOL I'm still waiting for the release of the under seat storage box!....... Or the under seat secondary fuel tank....... BUY JDS FOOT PEGS! Now, you guys can go pick on the guy who didn't like JD's design. LOL
  5. Think back to the damage from running that aluminum airbox.......... Think how bad you would have damaged your entire set-up if you had tried to run a 14:1 motor on pump gas for your big weekend......... I know you don't count your own wrenching as a cost.......but think about the money you spend to get to a ride location, permits, fees, fuel..... If you get 9-10 hours of riding in...it lowers your cost per hour for your ride. If you only get 4 hours of riding in....your per hour ride costs more than double. In the long run it's about FUN value. I know you feel like your having fun and that's fine. But the reality is (due to your budget) you can't afford the necessary learning curve that comes with a DIY experiment. You would have more fun for less money with reliable results if you just ran some Vito's Super Stock pistons in some unported cylinders. I have more input on the matter....but you haven't really ever asked any questions AHEAD of time. Most of your questions are reactionary. So most of the input you get addresses the situation you got yourself into, rather than a quality path forward.
  6. Hinson INVENTED the aftermarket basket. They know a little about it......
  7. I'm not knocking yours. He's describing Roll pegs. Why would you copy another peg exactly? If he wants a design exactly like he described it's available already. You have thought up a great peg. He's implying you change it to be exactly like somethkng already available. That would be like suggesting a new cylinder manufacturer design a clone of a Cub cylinder. I like the idea of the ProPeg concept where the peg could be down and back an inch or two. Carry on.
  8. I've broken 2 swingarms........ Or is his ride style aggressive without reason? (Fans the clutch on every shift....would rather blow the tires off thru 4 gears then just roll the throttle in one.)
  9. What kind of riding does he do?
  10. I'm confused..... I have a standard Hinson 8 plate system on a 63HP bike and the spring loaded one on a 100+ HP bike. ....for something like 4 years now. Does he know how to adjust a clutch lever while riding? With an 80+HP Serval, how much do you need to USE the clutch? Does his weight max out an S10 pick-up?
  11. Well lets see....there is You and......that's probably it. Maybe a sales rep somewhere. Why would you run a heavy weighted basket on a 2-stroke?
  12. LOL Or just by the originals that already do that.
  13. Well I'd say you refund the guy for the arms (since he didn't get the set he paid for) Then either file a claim against UPS to get the money you should have got from the sale (which you will likely lose since they will blame packaging) Or buy a matched set of lowers from some other place and put them with the uppers. Then Ebay the lone remaining lower.
  14. Please post your future ride dates in the ride/event section. So I know where/when NOT to be. LOL
  15. LOL Who was left to tow everything back? Are a Honda 300ex and an old Suzuki 230 shaft batting in the clean-up position? Lassie....run back to camp and tell mom where were we are.
  16. I bet the DS 650 and Raptor 660 guys could care less about you running out front. When you all got back to camp, they broke out the beers and you broke out the tools and spare top ends. LOL I'm just trying to lead you to where a weekend of Banshee riding involves a small screwdriver under your seat for airscrew adjustments. Not boxes of spare parts like you're running the Baja 1000. But I know....you'll get there at your own pace and be happy as a clam to do it your way.
  17. You know......you can inspect a cylinder by looking in the intakes and exhaust and NOT have to pull your motor down to the cases. Just saying. Plus..... (if you use a quality base gasket) you can usually re-use them if they have been together for as short a time as your motors are. But (and this is the important part here) you shouldn't need to pull cylinders on a motor you just built if you have a clue what you're doing. You posted the results of your weekend. But you CAN'T tell us WHAT WAS WRONG or WHY. But that doesn't stop you from ripping it all apart and putting it all back together time and time again with no discovery of the hidden issue. You ever look up the definition of insanity? Apparently it's all your budget can afford....
  18. Want me to add up what you have spent so far on your DIY experiment? Actually the bigger investment has been your time which is free of course...... But no. I'm into giving free advice, not free parts. Your job would be to find a way to afford the suggestions. Most of us don't consider swapping base gaskets as a jetting technique. Once you have a motor build that is a sound and solid configuration, you won't either. Just saying.....
  19. No air box for this guy either.
  20. Funny part is I also own 2 Raptor 80's. They were both dyno tuned….so there is a good chance they could out run his FMF RAD VALVE equipped ride.
  21. He's off line. That guy doesn't even know the anvil just landed on his head. Request pics of said "Bad ass toys" from the "Big Boy"
  22. Ummmm Your turn big boy. 2001 shee full fmf gnarly pipes boost bottle protec cool head toomy drag clutch fmf ram valve Wow…..
