  1. buy it and keep yours, i love having 2!
  2. its really easy to slap on. i bought the chariot one, you will need a flyheel puller and blue loctite. put it on yourself, it doesnt take long, i used a magazine cover to set the gap.
  3. time for a new gas tank/radiator cover!
  4. maybe there home depot pipes
  5. i have ridden all 3. blaster is a toy, i wont even get into it. stock banshee vs raptor, i would take the 700 if i were keeping the shee stock. the shee sucks the way it comes. shee with shocks axle pipes reverse front rims/a arms etc i would take over any bike any day. so if you dont plan on doing any mods, get the 700, but if you do, get a shee. plus i would have no clue how to work on a raptor, shee is pretty easy.
  6. my 97 came with chrome stockers on it, removed and sold for 125, but with fmf silencers.
  7. cancel that, found a good one.
  8. yea your shits probably fine, just put the right shit in it and let it run to burn out the 4poke oil. and smack the shit out of whoever did that. banshee motors are durable as hell, i sucked up a shitload of water in mine, more than once, pull the plugs put it on its handlebars, burn the plugs with a lighter, put em back in and starts right up. check compression when i got home and its been fine each time.
  9. the splines are toast in mine, i need one in good condition, anyone got one?
  10. is one better then the other? i need new sprockets
  11. upon further inspection, i need a new hub, rear sprocket and my front is a 12. so i need to get a 14 and a 41 and a hub. it never ends! who makes good sprockets?
  12. cool, thats what i set the one bike on, i just wanted to check before i did the other one.
  13. yea alba has good prices, i got my axcalibar from them
  14. ok finally up to the jetting, i got almost everything else done. i am using the longer needles that came with my t5s, dynojet needles i belive. since these needles have 1 more groove for the c-clip than the stock needles, do i want it on the 3rd or 4th one, from the blunt end?
  15. yea stock blows, i have stock on both of mine, i want to do +2 round swingers maybe next winter.
  16. i was trying to do the same thing and look at part numbers at powersportspro.com and there was a ton of different part numbers for different years. is yamahaoftroy a cheaper place to buy parts?
  17. it didnt all of a sudden get tight, it has been like this for a while. here is the story. when i was a wee little lad i got my 97 and it had a very loose chain among other things. so being afraid to work on it, i brought it to yamaha of new rochelle. i was like fix all the shit, and the chain is a new one, its just loose. so they "fix" everything, and charge me a shitload. the guy says the chain is bad, im like it was ridden on 3 times and he is like its a banshee they go thru chains like that. so im like ok whatever pay for it and thats that. so now as i get used to working on the quad, i keep noticing when i fix shit they didnt do it correctly. then i get the 06 and i try and adjust the chain on the 97 to get it looser, and the tension adjusters are all the way backed out. so last night i go to take this too small chain off, and i find what i thought was the master link, and get this. they must have lost the master link, because under the clip the pins were just kind of hammered in there, and i had to grind them down to get it off. so the basic moral here is fuck yamaha of new rochelle, and fix ur shit urself.
  18. found a set of 06 lights. my 97 had some glass stock headlights, the 06 lights are plastic, the relector is a better design, and they are branded stanley, i just dont know what year the switch was made.
  19. im between the DID and the primary, i need to count the teeth on my front and back sprockets tomorrow, so i know which to order.
  20. soooo then the DID 520 ATV X-RING Chain would be the way to go? some reviews say that the master link sucks.
  21. i got plenty of time before i start riding, its still too cold here. i want to do it right, and have the least amount of shit to break and go wrong once it is riding season. im thinking of the Primary Drive 520 ORH chain, sounds good to me, and the price isnt bad. anyone have any experience?
  22. from searching around on google, im thinking this might be a bad idea, and just buy a new chain, they dont seem too expensive, which chain should i go with?
  23. my stock o-ring chain is a little too tight on my 97, i need to add link a link or a half link, is this possible to do?
  24. if i want to know if im overheating, i just look down to the right at my temp gauge
  25. thats what my 97 had when i got it, i didnt like it so i bought the modquad bracket. the coolant bottle must be connected and able to return fluid, when i blasted out both my bikes, i tested it by spraying water into the overflow bottle, and it did come out of the radiator or cylinder drain holes, i forgot which.
