I took the yz125 apart, and this is what it looked like inside. The guy i got the bike from gave me a stock bore wiseco piston. Should i have this cylinder replated, resleeved, or have this sleeve bored and get a slightly larger piston? the head looks fucked up too, is it junk or can that be repaired? sorry for the dumb questions, this is my first time actually having to get inside a cylinder and change a piston.

yea this thing was really gunked up inside, i see what you mean about the powervalve, i doubt it worked in a long time lol.

got the top end apart, needs a new piston. the inside of the cylinder looks fine, if i buy a wiseco kit, is it just like a drop in replacement, or do i have to do anything else?

Yep this one is liquid cooled, has the 2 mini radiators. I stripped it down to paint it, not a fan of the blurple frame lol. What's a good forum for these things, to find out what jets it needs? I'm not keeping it, I'm going to basically re build the whole thing, and my boy is vegas wants it, so ill bring it with me when I drive out this summer

just picked up a 95 yz125, anyone know anything about thse bikes? i need to get a service manual, are there major changes over the years on these? it needs a piston, im gonna slap in a wiseco. came with a pro circut platinum pipe and boysen reeds, im gonna have to jet this thing too.

how can i test electrical parts with a multimeter? i just got one, but am not sure what to set it on. i need to test stators and cdi boxes.

i got brand new k&n filters w/outerwears, they just need clamps. where should i mail them?

does this thing work for all yamahas or just banshees?

i have ridden both on trails, and i would take a banshee with pipes, shocks and a +4 axle over a 450 any day. banshee is like a mustang, its not new techmology, but with aftermarket parts, it can murk anything anywhere. just has to be set up right. plus its much easier to work on. hooking up a 450 is way more expensive. plus banshees look better :biggrin:

what does everyone who has big feet wear for riding boots? i bought some o neal shortys, and they fucking suck, they are way to thick to get under the shifter, even if i move it up a notch. i moved it up 2 notches, and its too fucking hard to downshift then. i usually ride with sneakers, and have no problem shifting, but i want to get some boots for this year. i need something that has a thin toe, but has the ankle support/protection. i was thinking maybe paratrooper boots would work, but havent tried yet. any ideas? o yea im size 14
