  2. i just ordered rad 1" spacers for my 06, currently it has a LSR +4 axle also. i like riding on a big ol ass lol
  3. yea i called up fast, and jeff said i should be running 27.5 pilots, so i ordred a set, ill see if that fixes it. blaster, you described the bogging problem i am having exactly.

  7. i write banshee on the board, its shorter than writing out banshee all the time. in person i say banshee.
  8. toomey 2:1 sucks if there is water mud involved, trust me. i just installed cfm airboxes on both my shees, with uni pods with outerwears, i have not run it yet, but it seems like water will not be a problem this year.

  13. yea it probably is the one from the bowl, what messed me up is it doesnt show any jet going in the bowl in this diagram

  15. went in today, and they said no problem they will get me a new carb. i was suprised. i am never letting them touch my bikes again though, i opened up the carb today and found a jet in it?! wtf.
  16. i opened up my carbs to change the jets yamaha had put in, and this thing fell out of the choke side carb. i couldnt find where it fell out of, the 2 jets that look like it are both installed. did they just screw up and leave it inside while they had it open? fucking dealers.
  17. i dont really have anywhere i could run it all out, i keep the bikes in westchester. if i cant get it running well before it gets warmer, i will just trailer them out to the island, where do you run them? i thought LI was locked down as far as quads go. it seems better with the 300 and on the 3rd clip, im still having a problem with it bogging at low throttle.
  18. When tuning, if the bike is bogging when you gas it a lot from idle, but runs good above 1/2 throttle, is this running rich? To fix this, would I go to a smaller jet, or move the needle leaner? Currently I'm at a 300 main on 3rd clip
  19. Its better with the needle up a notch, but still bogging and backfiring slightly at 3/4 - full throttle. Try a 300 or go leaner??

  21. just picked up this 01 for $1200 w/papers, gotta love this fucked up economy. compression is good, runs perfectly, just needs the plastics heated and bent back, and i have to do something about the pipes. the chrome looks like the rust has gone thru it, ill prob just paint them.

  23. i will take it off and bring it over to them, and see what they say, but from my experience with dealers, it wont turn out well. the parts and sales dept of this dealer is actually very good, i guess just the service dept sucks. another thing that pisses me off about dealers, from like the 2 i have been to and asked about/had work done on my banshees, they always have one "special" guy who does all the banshee work. isnt a banshee like one of the easiest ATVs to work on? i have like no experiance working on any type of engines, and between this site and my clymers/yamaha service manuals, i can do pretty much everything. i guess i am the "special" guy who only works on banshees lol
  24. i am going to try one notch leaner, are the airscrews still fine at 1.5 turns?
  25. first off, i want to say i hate yamaha dealers, and every mechanic i have dealt with at a dealership is a fucking retard. i had a dealer install my tors kill kit a few months ago, and today, i was going to tune the bike. i was looking thru what they gave me back, and i noticed they only installed one of my dynojet needles and left one stock. so i pulled the slide out of one, and of course it had the stock needle. i put the dynojet one in, and i was ready to tune. now the idle screw that is on the choke side is really loose, like the guy screwed up when he tapped the threads. the screw will fall out while i am trying to tune it, from the vibration of the engine. it also seems like it is leaking air, until the jam nut is tighetend up against the carb. is this carb fucked now? could i use some teflon tape or something so it seals up correctly, or will it just burn up? i am not ever having anything fixed at the dealer, the only reason i brought it to them to do it was because i didnt want to screw up drilling into the carb.
