  1. I like Cholas the best. They are proven to have good bottom end. They are proven fast on sand and in the desert. A lot of bikes in glamis have cholas on them. Gaper pipes work best with oversize boostbottles.
  2. The gaper pipes and ghost pipes were only made for a few yrs. I prefer the show crome Cholas. But they are hard to find outside of SoCal.
  3. If you want to go into paint on your computer and hit "open" click on the pic and then edit size to 60% heigth and 60% width and then save. That should resize it enough to post.
  4. Theres plenty of reed area for a 4mil super, its when you get into the 10 mil super that they have been known not to run much better than a 68 bore and then when you step up to a DM you really start seeing the 10 mil getting big numbers. As far as cranks, I like the 4 mil motors for piston speed and wear and smoothness. i think the 439cc 4 mil supers being so close to a 464cc 10 mil cubs numbers shows they are pretty efficient, the cheaper 68mm pistons tho are a plus when you burn one up lol.
  5. if both carbs arent synced perfectly one side will smoke more. No biggie but will be a lot snappier if you get a sync tool.
  6. You could get one shipped two day for not a lot of extra money. Believe it or not those are only $35 new. A local dealer might have one. Jeff at FAST or Andy at M&M can do two day or overnight if they've got one.
  7. I'll be there with 100,000 of my drinkin buddies.
  8. I would tell you to get your stockers bored but if they are messed up then the 28 or 30s work kick butt. Don't forget the OKO 28 and 30s they've worked well for me for years. Before anybody was selling them for banshees I was gettin em from Taiwan for use on scooters and using them.on banshees. Lean out the needle 1 clip put in some 52 pilots, 152 mains and roll.
  9. I have a handlebar on off i believe and a key switch pod with key. Dont know which you are looking for. $25 each if you still need one or the other, they are both mint.
  10. Welcome to HQ I see its your first and only post.
  11. The real good 421 cubs ported by the better builders make about 95 on gas with inframes and 97 with out of frames. On alky with different domes, more timing and tuning they are in the 110-114 range and 59-62 foot lbs of torque, so i would think the vitos could do 100hp on alky.
  12. Thats what i did was put a piece of .058 half inch tubing in between the upper shock mounts. Still need to do the sub when i get a chance. It takes a lot of grinding and cutoff wheels to do em nice. I used a 4.5" flapwheel in the angle grinder to finish off the grinds and it makes it nice and smooth for paint or powder.
  13. I've seen 310s be lean and a few that liked 350s with pod filters. Popping or backfiring is lean, not a little or slightly lean. That would be burndown lean.
  14. You'll get around fine, itd be a little faster with a little less tire like 8s but if you build it a bit and put a +4 or 6 swingarm those tires would hook good.
  15. With a +12 swingarm, 14 paddle extremes or staggereds in a 73"RO or bigger or some big 12s or 13s like 76-78" RO. Weighing 270 you could go with a 10 over and some 12,13,14 paddles, 39mm carbs would help you a bit too.I wouldnt buy any small 14s like 68" or 69" rollout, there's a lot of those on Ebay. Hope this helps. Radar
  16. Gbc tires are usually really heavy. I believe those are not. I've read they weigh 14.5 lbs on a blue label wheel. If another $50 won't kill ya I'd still recommend getting those sand haulers they are good tires for the money. They held up to some friends bikes that have decent HP and torque. Ill probably order two soon for Z400.
  17. They will run richer with lower comp like when a rebuild is needed but shouldn't unless you did something else. Check things like gas, head sealing, intake gasket not leaking, reeds etc. Who made the domes?
  18. I know there are a couple builders that really have the 4mm supercub down. Nate Mccoy did my 68bore cub but if I woulda known his supers were making about 8 more hp and 4 more ft lbs of torque I would have done a super. Mccoys performance , K/T , and A/S all can get in the 118-120 hp range which is about what a good 10mil cub makes. Nice combo with the bigger transfers.
  19. That one web doesn't look welded, if its not that would tell you its not a HR. Hotrods also come in a hotrods box. I'd leave them bad feedback and make em take it back if they lied. Might shoot hotrods sales dept an email as well.
  20. I don't like em. They aren't exactly right or accurate. If you use one you can burn down a motor maybe even at 1100 degrees if its reading off, so you still need to look at your plugs and tune by riding and looking at the plugs. If you run some timing your EGTs can possibly read lower than 1200 even tho you are lean. EGTs can read very low on an alky motor with lots of timing even if it were melting. Just learn to tune by reading your plugs that's the best way. Start rich and go down and you'll feel the bike get a ton faster when your a few jets off and then plugchop.
  21. Those sandhaulers work well on a bike with a plus 4 or less swingarm. You probably have plenty of motor for up to a 10 paddle extreme but if you have a stock swingarm get some 8 paddles or less. If you can get some used ones and then just resell them you'll only be out $25 to 40 for shipping
  22. Are u serious about selling them or is this post a joke. Pics, price shipped, brand, type of wheel. I need a set. Lookin for 20" sandstars, sand skates, or edges.
  23. You'd gain maybe 2hp with 39mm carbs but if you are duning or other riding the 35s will have better response and be better everywhere but at max rpm.
  24. If you get some newer 115mm hubs you'll have a better selection of wheels. I have two rear 156mm pattern 10" douglas bluelabel wheels I'm not using if you need a set. I'd make someone a good deal on em.
  25. I would say crank seal as well but if you don't have the vent line on the clutch cover up high and not hanging down low they will leak like mad and even siphon and it seems like they do it once the bike is stopped and it will just pour out of the vent tube. If you think that's a possibility rout the line up higher on the bike. I have mine blocked off.
