  1. Hit it with wd or pb and let it sit for a day, then put the nut back on till it is flush with the spindle so you can hit the spundle/nut without damaging it then hold pressure on the back of the hub while hitting the nut/spindle with a real hammer. A medium weight hammer has worked best for me. If that does not work, try some heat.
  2. It really sounds electrical since you said the plug or plugs were wet. Make sure to check the pickup gap on the stator, check all connections, ground, tors, park brake crap and maybe even swap cdis or stators with another bike. Sometimes the sparkplug caps get bad and have a lot of resistance and can make electrical systems act up but stators are the usual suspect most of the time. If your bike is jetted correctly and all of a sudden acting up and shows a wet sparkplug thats a good sign of an electrical problem or float. If your plug immediately after it cut out was white or gray I would say it wqs running a bowl dry.
  3. If you get a piped banshee with pipes you will already have a 50 hp bike. You will more than likely be wanting upgrades like handlebars, tires, parking brake blockoff, levers, or cosmetic upgrades first. I usually do. Go thru it and adjust or lube everything and make sure it is top notch first.
  4. Good new stuff cheaper than used hacked up crap. Cam is a good dude. 350 cubs run like a mofo right outta the box.
  5. A banshee wont usually overheat like what you are saying from just lean jetting. Im thinking it may be impeller as well. Usually the the radiator will be close to the same temp from top to bottom if water is flowing properly. You can check your jetting by looking at your plugs and doing a plug chop. Is it possible that the head gasket is leaking pressure out into the water jacket?
  6. Unfortuneately the athena kit is that way. They should advertise it as . No low to mid , more topend than stock but still not as good as a ported set of cyls or a cub. All this for only $899......
  7. WOW , any carbs would be better than stock on that motor. If you slow ride a lot or do MX type riding or trails than 33-35mm carbs would be good, if you do a lot of wide open riding then 38-41mm carbs. Bigger carbs make much more topend and midrange. Stock carbs are also not as easy to tune. I prefer Keihin PWKs over about any carb but especially stock. A larger bore by .040 or .080 will do very little for adding power to your bike.
  8. I bought a set of pipes off Lesnant / Anthony and he shipped em quick and packaged well. Thank you.
  9. You didnt say what 392 you have but if it is the athena kit they have no bottom end or torque compared to stock. I amm assuming your plug chops have a nice beer bottle brown ring about 1 - 1 1/2 mm tall? Was ot the same color when riddden on the needle ? Thats very important or it will bogg.
  10. A piped banshee thats well maintained and gone thru is a solid fun bike. Just tuned right and good tires they are a fun. Suspension, nerfbars, tires and pimp wheels helps them out alot too in the looks dept as well as fun factor.
  11. Flo, it is common for drops of alcohol to spit back a little on the filters. It isnt a ton so if you have a lot then you may have a reed issue like the reeds not sealing against the cage which can be fixed by replacing them or flipping the petals over so they seal against the cage. You could alao have a cracked, broken, reed or worn edges if they are carbon fiber petals like vforce. Hope this helps. Radar
  12. Not from hot rods and I am not sure what you are talking about exactly. If you have a hot rods stroker crank in whatever stroke length there will be a wiseco , vitos or WSM piston available to match that stroke and rod combo if you have the correct dome. Hope that helps.
  13. A 10x4 wheel and a 130/90/10 moped rear tire makes for a pretty decent wheel/tire combo. Thats what is on my bike in my profile pic. You can get 10x4 wheels from Jon at sandtoyz unlimited. I have a set of black wheels and tires I will be taking off my bike soon to sell if interested for like $125
  14. Why dont you do a plug chop and then you will know for sure. Those look black to me.
  15. Yep stock swingarm 20" 8 paddle extremes on an 8" wheel rock. I also like 20" 9 or 10 paddles on a 10" wheel.
  16. Theres a pic in this thread. Thats a +10 lonestar no link. It was actually setup about 12 3/4 right there. http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=150151
  17. My Shaw is just a little short for my new frame /swingarm. If anyone has a shaw setup for a no link and hopefully valved for a +10 or 12 thats 13 1/2 or close I would trade my 12 1/2" . Mine is nice with very low ride time and setup for a 200lb rider and a +10. Thank you.
  18. We usually have them with no sag and kinda stiff. For even level aarms they are usually about 12" long or slightly shorter. You can figure it out with your struts. With shaws you can take the nuts off and make em 1/2" shorter or adjust em out a 1/4" longer or more with a spacer.
  19. If this works , heres a pic. http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a52/Radar51/MjczNjI4REMtNzk3OTczLmpwZw.jpg
  20. Justabanshee has a set that I think have about 30-50 drag passes on em at the dunes , show chrome and very very new. His bike is actually in FAST/ Jeff's shop. I think he wants $500 for em. Save $150 and get basically new ones.
  21. If its making your plugs wet or fouled looking then that can be pilot or both pilot as well as about 2-3 clips too rich on the needle possibly. I hate stock carbs and tuning them. I'll be out at hillsdale ks later today tuning on a bike with similar mods.
  22. I sent you a pm too . My bud Joe says he wants your spindlemounts. I sent ya his number.
  23. Wow , that didnt take long. Haha. Those were a nice set of paddles.
  24. Flyaweed, if you want a link type that is nearly new, show quality +8, flame rear at the carrier , Justabanshee is going to need to sell his and go to a +10. When Jeff gets his motor done. His was $670 brand new and its basically new still. Only been rode on a couple times.
