  1. Air Kroil is the bomb for penatrating oil. Sears is having one hell of a sale on wrenches right now. $20 bucks will get you a metric set of wrenches! If you have your cylinders off, try locking the stud in a vise and turning the cylinder. Soak it in some penetrating oil for a few hours first. Do you have to replace all of the studs for a PD head?
  2. Maybe I worded my question incorrectly. I'm not looking into this option, I was just wondering if this guy was really doing it. I completely agree with you. I'm going to try and get a picture of one of these heads.
  3. I have run a cool head for over a year without one failure. I was mainly wondering if people were having heads cut to accept aftermarket domes.
  4. I got to talking to a guy the other day about cool heads. He says that he machines the banshee stock head to except aftermarket domes! I asked him why, and he said because the orings fail more often than gaskets. He also said alot of people were doing it where he is from. I clarified that he wasn't talking about milling the stock head. Is this guy tooling me, or is he legit?
  5. Welcome to site TJ and congrats on your first banshee

  7. I run the BFG mudterrain T/As and just had to replace the front tires due to cupping. They only had about 20k miles on them. One of them was severely cupped and slapped real bad on the highway. As far as wear, the tread still looks brand new after 20k though. They do pretty good in the mud, but if your going to be running down the highway why get a mud tire? Strictly for looks?
  8. The crash was pretty good, I can't believe they left that on there for the comercial hahah.
  9. My buddy is a welder for trade and has made a couple of those kits for his 450s. He only races them at the horseshoe drags though.
  10. FAST can hook you up with all the nessesary shifting upgrades.
  11. I have some stock carbs with just about any jet you would need, k&n pods with outerwears and a pretty new throttle cable. Where are you at in Iowa?
  12. Check to make sure the big spring on the kicker is hooked on the dowel above it. Also, make sure that you soak your new clutch fibers in ATF, and use plenty of it when you put it back together.
  13. For a trail tire I rock the Titan Fast trekkers. They bite like a mofo and have been the longest lasting tire by far.
  14. Make sure your slides aren't in the wrong carbs. You should be able to look into the filter side of the carb and see a halfmoon cut out of the bottom of the slides.
  15. PM'S have been returned.
  16. Cylinders are for a stock stroke crank. Also the domes are cut .030 and other set is cut .043. I don't know why, you would have to ask Radarracing that one. I just put in the .030 and ran em.
  17. I though I wanted a cub, turns out that I don't. I ride trails and horseshoe drag, these are not for me. I got 68mm stock stroke cub cylinders with a clean up port and a 115mm long rod crank. I also have two sets of used pistons, (usuable), and two sets of 20cc domes. I'm looking for a +4 crank and stock cylinders with no porting and stock bore.
  18. Thats badass
  19. Whats a lug jug?
  20. I have been running the prm up front for a year now and I think I'm ready for a change as well. I have had my eye on one of these babies. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Yamaha-Bans...sspagenameZWDVW
  21. Well, my buddy rides on a pair of black labels and goes everywhere I do and he hasn't bent his. I personally ride on red labels and haven't had any trouble with them either. If they are cheap, I'd run them.

  25. Be careful buying swingarms off of ebay. Also look into having your rear shock rebuilt/resprung.
