Your transmission should hold 1.6 quarts in it. When you check the level, don't screw the dipstick back in. Wipe it off and just put it in till it stops and then pull it back out, and that will be your oil level. I'm not sure what your jetting should be, I've never rejetted with stock pipes. You would probably notice an increase in power by removing the lid and rejetting, though. Maybe somebody can chime in on that and get you close. The TORS units are the big things on top of the carburetors. They are the throttle overide system, designed to limit/cut the revs if the throttle were to stick open. Also does this if the parking brake is on. People ususally remove them to prevent problems in case they malfunction, and to free up space in the motor area.

No problem, man. Anybody?

I've never run the T-5's, but I have FMF Fatty's and they have very good mid range to them. Paul Turner mids would probably be a good choice too.

Yeah there's a lot of controversy on proper break-in procedures. I think everybody has their own preferred ways to do it. I try to be on the safe side and follow the manufacturers recommendations, or fairly close to them.

Hey guys, I've seen a lot of pictures that have been altered and put together with photoshop (such as sig pics) and I'd like to learn how to do that. I googled it and found a downloadable version called "Adobe Photoshop CS3". I was wondering if anybody else is using this, and what they think about it. Also, does it cost any money?...it doesn't mention that on the page. If possible I'd like a little information on it before I install it on the computer. Any input would be great. Thanks.

+1 on the 21cc domes. I'm close to sea level with 21's and I've got 155 psi in my cylinders. Any smaller on the domes and I'd be looking at a mixed fuel.

If I remember right, the owners manual called for twenty hours. 1-10 no more than half throttle, 10-20 no more than three quarter throttle. That's a LONG time though, I think I just ran it easy without WOT for a few (4 or 5) tanks of fuel, then let 'er rip. Of coarse, it's impossible not to get on it in short bursts every so often while breaking it in, just don't hold it for very long.

I don't know how you guys can deal with weather that cold, I've lived in Florida all my life and a cold winter up north would put a serious hurting on me. At least in the summer months you guys have nice riding with awesome riding areas. Loco, now that you've got used to the weather down here... your gonna freeze your ass off when you return to Missouri!

At what point is a Banshee no longer a banshee?
jamebo replied to shanYE west's topic in General Banshee Discussion
lol I've shown my wife video's of the stretched out drag Banshee's with aftermerket plastics, different fuel tanks and no headlights. She'll say "what kind of fourwheeler is that?" I'll say it's A BANSHEE! And she'll say "well it doesn't look like a Banshee!" I think a lot of people identify the Shee with it's square radiator and round headlights. And of course, the sound of the screaming twin. I think the engine is the main thing that makes it a Banshee, as long as that's in it, it's a true 'Shee. -
Bubba is definitely a force to contend with. Believe it or not we share the same hometown, his house and personal track are only minutes from my job.

Haha "pole burn", that guy's voice sounds JUST LIKE a chicks!

When do you project to have your bike done, Kaos? I'd like to see some vids of it running, bet that thing's gonna scream.

To be honest, I'm not sure what they require with out of state bikes. At Croom, I took a Warrior I used to have up there without a title, and just gave them a bill of sale with the vin numbers and they issued me a sticker for the park. Later, I took the Banshee up there. I didn't have the title to it yet because I was still paying for it, but I gave them the paperwork from the dealer and they issued me the sticker. As far as rules, Croom is much more lenient than some of the other parks. I think their main rule is no alcohol, and stay off the roads in marked sections. But out there you can really let it rip when riding. I do know that in Ocala they are real strict about stuff. If your not careful, you can get in trouble by breaking rules that you didn't even know about.

Damn, you came down without your bike? Man that's a shame, we're having some good riding weather this week, too.

That's definitely a nice bike, but it's hard to recoup money invested in a quad. He'd probably fare better by parting it out on e-bay rather than selling it whole.

I remember seeing a product review in a Dirtwheels magazine awhile back about an aftermarket Banshee tank with double fuel petcocks, one on each side. I can't remember who made it, but there is or was one on the market at one time.

Merry Christmas everybody!

I appreciate all the input on this, everybody. Plastic it is, then. The T.M. saver does look solid, I was wondering why it costed more than the billet in the catalog. Thanks for posting the pic jbooker. I'll be getting one of those. Brandon you bring up a good point with the weight savings. I've already added an aluminum stator cover which is heavier than the stock one, I should start considering weight as a factor on the things I'm adding on to the bike.

A stock Banshee will definitely smoke a stock Brute Force, I raced one not long after I got my Shee. Before the race he made the comment "but it's only a 350". He found out that dynamite comes in small packages! MJ, your right about the youtube comments. I've seen the most outlandish comments on there that the people making them are Sure they are right, and will argue about if questioned. A recent one was some guy wrote: "there's no way you can get 70 horsepower out of ANY fourwheeler, I don't care WHAT'S done to the motor!"
-
I'm definitely going to get the T.M. plastic one then, thanks for all the input on this guys.
-
Thanks for the reply's, guys. That does sound like two good reasons to get the plastic one
-
I need to get a case saver, I was checking RMATV and they have two kinds: plastic or billet aluminum. Are there any protection benefits with one over the other, or is it just a preference thing?
-
You should check out Croom while your down, Tyler. I think you'd have a blast out there.
-
I just searched what you typed. lol, was it a youtube link with the woman licking the copymachine? That vid was funny!
-
It's definitely a fitting name. The unique sound of the twin 2-stroke brings to mind a howling, wailing, screaming Banshee!
