  1. There's something wrong with that guy.
  2. The latest one is in General Off-Topic.
  3. My FMF's just slide on and then the springs hold them in place. They have a rubber o-ring in the pipe flange to seal them.
  4. +1 on the Noss. Installs quickly and works great.
  5. Actually, I wasn't. I haven't bought anything off of a craigslist ad before, though I have looked around on it a little. Haven't seen anything like that before, having not been on it much. I see what your saying, though.
  6. I bet that thing will haul ass! I'm confused about the price, though. He's selling it for 1,000? Not a bad price at all, if that's what he means by $1.
  7. That's pretty funny! If he's going to try to sell an item for 4,000 dollars in an ad, the least he could do is half-way check his spelling.... if he wants it to be taken seriously, anyway.
  8. I use a Craftsman, works pretty good. I've also heard the Matco's and Snap-on's are really good.
  9. Sorry to hear that happened, man. My condolences.
  10. I hear you on that, I was just adjusting my stocker the other night... takes a whole handful of different sized wrenches and sockets
  11. I was wondering how long it was going to be before a thread concerning this issue was going to come up. The quoted pictures do cause a whole lot of unnecessary scrolling.
  12. I appreciate it guys, I'll start looking around for a gasket/seal set for it. I definitely don't want it to leak after filling it back up with all the fluids. I'd like to upgrade to a high flow impellor while I'm in there, but don't really have the money to do that yet. I may just go ahead and get the cover and hold off on installing it until I can get the gaskets and impellor kit. Thanks for all the info, guys.
  13. Hey guys, had a question about a clutch cover. I found a really nice polished cover on the net. I pm'ed the guy asking if the cover was ready to install, with water pump, gear, and seals. He said everything was included, but the cover had been off the bike for a couple of months so he couldn't guarantee the seal was still good. Which seal could he be talking about, the kickstart seal, or water pump? I've never removed my clutch cover, so I don't know for sure what all is involved. If those are the seals he's talking about, where could I get new ones? Also, could I re-use my old clutch cover gasket? Any input on this would be great.
  14. I put a plastic sandwich bag over the snorkel to make sure no water gets into the airbox. Also, make sure none gets in the pipes. Then I usually just use regular zipwax carwash and rags to wash mine. Afterwards, I dry it good with a leafblower then wipe the steel down with WD-40 on a rag to prevent rust. I also wipe the pipes down with WD-40.
  15. I can't recall ever having a heating issue when I was running the stock head. But my motor is not heavily modded either, though. Also, I usually ride mine in fast, open places where there is a lot of air going through the radiator. I don't know how it would do in tight trails. I run a Noss head now.
  16. Yeah looks like Razrs on the back, can't tell whats on the front.
  17. You may be right about that. I'd definitely check the vin numbers out before purchasing it to make sure everything was legal and straight up with it. Never can tell these days... but if everything checked out okay with it seems like a pretty good deal to me.
  18. Yeah that looks like an awesome deal. Not sure about the year though, kinda looks like '05 graphics on it.
  19. I was wondering, are spacers needed with those? Or do they clear the clutch mechanism okay.
  20. Been mixing that oil at 24:1 for a little over three years now and haven't fouled a plug yet. Mine actually doesn't smoke very much after it's warmed up, either. I have changed plugs a couple of times, like when I installed a coolhead and what-not, but never because they fouled on me and caused a running issue. Not saying I never will though, knock on wood.....
  21. Nice! That's a rare deal, man. The reflectors look unique also, they didn't have those on the one's here in the U.S.
  22. You never know for sure till you line 'em up, I might even smoke him on my stock 700.... despite his extremely large carb and high performance chain!
  23. I'm curious, which one? BansheeRider87?
