  1. lol, too true!
  2. I still have mine, but I think the main reason most people cut them is for the look. A fender-less Shee has a tough look to it. Probably makes engine work and pipe removal easier also.
  3. Actually...... it wasn't Papa_smurf who sent the message, but someone else using his account.
  4. I like the red frames.... really makes it stand out. I think the red frame would look good with white or black plastics.
  5. Nice arms, man. I like the color of them, they should look great on your bike.
  6. We get that mag over here, I'll check that issue out next time I'm in wal-mart. That is a lot of money....
  7. It may be just powdercoated over to where you can't see it. The vin is stamped into the main frame where the gear shifter is, so to my knowledge it couldn't be cut out. As far as the drag strip, I can't say for sure but more than likely any strip you go to would be a privately owned place.
  8. I also think you should go with the Elka's. They are known for being well made, high quality shocks.
  9. I'm not sure what's going on there, I haven't had that happen so far....
  10. I'm glad you got one back, man. Hopefully you can recover the others, as well. But if not it's still good that you have the one!
  11. Do you mean the vin# is completely sanded off, or just powdercoated over?
  12. That's what I was trying to say in the post I deleted, 2004LEBanshee. The regular K&N Banshee filter works with an aftermarket flange OR stock. As far as "rigging" the stock one, that's the procedure the instructions tell you to do when you buy one. The standard K&N should fit the flange you have......
  13. That grill looks great! The eyes lighting up reminds me of the Bomb-squad bumper with the wings and gas-mask face..... pretty cool.

    lol, that's pretty good! :yelrotflmao:
  15. The Noss heads are definitely an awesome product and work very well. David's a real nice guy, too. Very dedicated to his business.
  16. +1. Also good for removing pipe bluing as well.
  17. Sorry about your motor, man. Hope you get it back up and running good soon. Like slobanshee06 said your probably going to be somewhere around 290's and 300's on the mains. I'm around the same elevation as you are. I run Fatty's with K&N and an outerwears lid, which is pretty much like running without a lid. I use 300 mains and 32.5 pilots.
  18. This link is to Noss Machine. At the bottom of the page is a list of suggested numbers and elevations. David will have what size domes you need. Talk to him and let him know your elevation and mods and I'm sure he will be able to hook you up with the proper domes. Nossmachine
  19. Sorry about your troubles with them, there are definitely some dealerships out there that you have to be careful with. I've had some problems with a couple of them myself. I believe your right, I think most dealers these days don't know as much about 2-strokes as they used to. These days everything mostly revolves around 4-strokes with them. Not saying they are all bad, but if my Shee needs something done to it I feel more comfortable doing the work myself than taking a chance......
  20. Another good thing about RMATV is once you order parts from them they will start e-mailing you letting you know when they have close-out deals on parts to fit your Banshee or whatever machine you got parts for. Also deals on helmets and apparel, too.
  21. Yeah I took my Shee to a local dealer one time to have them install some jets and pipes and told them to just use the heater-hose off of the stock pipes because I didn't have clamps yet. When I went to pick up the bike there was nothing on them so I asked why they didn't put the hoses on, and he told me "it doesn't need them because the mechanic had to tap on them with a rubber mallet to get the pipes to go together, so they are too tight to leak". I ended up taking them back apart and doing it myself, at home because they leaked. Since then I have been doing all the basic wrenching on it myself, with alot of help from this site, and I'll trust a builder to do the internal engine mods. I won't be taking it back to that dealership though.....
  22. Sweet!
  23. Wow, definitely pricey! I think that Bliar book is the most expensive book I've ever seen. It must have alot of good information in it!
