  1. lol, that was cold!
  2. The Banshee can be used for trailriding, however, the Z400 you have is probably more trail friendly than the Shee. There are lots of guys that ride trails with a Shee, and there are alot of aftermarket parts to bump up the bottom end performance and suspension to better suit trails. However- the Z400 you have is already a perfect trail machine, so in my opinion I think you should keep it and then save your money and buy a dune Banshee. I have my Shee and then I bought a Raptor for trail riding, because the two have such different riding characteristics
  3. Yes RMATV has pretty much the best deals on just about anything atv related. They ship out quick and have great customer service also.

Well they look good on there, really compliment the shifter and stator cover.
  5. What kind of compression you end up with dictates what kind of fuel you'll need. Anything over 160 psi I believe and you'll be looking at a mix of fuel. I don't know alot about milling numbers, but I run a coolhead with 21cc domes on pumpgas around sea level.
  6. Sounds like they're working out great for you. Elka's are very expensive, but like they say you get what you pay for. I've heard they are pretty much the top of the line. I'd like to see some pics also, sounds like a really nice set-up.

Nice, man. Did you buy those already like that or have them chromed? I ask because I was wondering around how much it costs to have that done.
  8. I've had a couple of them, an 87 and an 01. I had a Yoshi pipe, K&N, and modded airbox on the 01. Like Dave I. said they're not the most powerful quads out there, but not bad at all as a trail quad in my opinion.

    Birthday sex

Now he knows what NOT to give her for valentines day! lol
  10. I believe mine was 6100 out the door if I remember right. (before monthly finance charges)But where I got mine they are alot cheaper than most places. they actually sell quads for just under regular dealers price, somehow. Best prices in the state.
  11. Congrats on the Shee! The 06 SE's look sweet, the black with purple flames look trick...

    LOL That's a good one!
  13. Is he wanting to know how well they work on a Banshee, or looking for someone who has a set for sale?

lol, I guess I'm not a ninja either..... I'm lost on that one too.
  15. Yes you'll be surprised what pipes and filter will do for it. I was in the same situation as you, I bought my Banshee new and didn't want to do too much to it at first because of that....... after the first mod or two though trust me you'll be wanting to do more and more! I was shocked how much the pipes and filter did for mine over stock. Then I added a Noss head with 21cc domes and it gave it that much more. It's amazing how well they respond to mods.
  16. I've never ran either, but from what I've read on here it seems the T6's are best for a stock engined bike. The T5's are the better pipe for engine mods or a person with future plans for engine mods.
  17. What kind of oil are you using? I don't think I would go 100:1 with any kind. Sounds like a recipe for a burned up motor to me.
  18. The manual calls for Yamalube 4 (10W30) or SAE 10W30 API service SE, SF, SG type or higher. I run the Yamalube 4, 10W30.
  19. You gotta keep it pinned in sixth! lol Your right, riding wheelies are much easier for me on my 700 than on the Shee. The Shee is so high strung it's difficult to keep the front end from rocketing up too far everytime I give it a little gas to help balance it out.
  20. Keep your weight back and after you've got the front end up keep it balanced. Make sure you keep your foot on the rear brake and if it goes too far back you can tap the brake to bring it back down. Then practice and you'll get better and better at it.
  21. Thanks alot for the information, guys. I did a little research on it and was surprised to learn that Portland, Oregon was the first city in the United States to require all gas sold in the city limits to contain at least 10% ethanol mixture. I was wondering what everyone else was running because I know there's alot of Banshees there! I hunted around and found my owners manual to both the Banshee and the Raptor and they both said that ethanol based gas (it called it gasohol) was suitable in them as long as the content did not exceed 10%. However, it said not to run methanol gas. I just got back on here and saw the replys and I really appreciate the info, I didn't know those other things about it. That's a load off my mind, I feel safe about it now. thanks again, guys.
  22. Thanks for the reply, I guess I need to look around and see what stations have the regular. I just spent almost fourteen dollars on 3.2 gallons of premium but I'd rather put it in the lawnmower or something to avoid risking any kind of damage to the Shee. I think I'm going to run into the same problem as the guys I was reading about because they are having problems finding anywhere around here that sells it.
  23. Hey guys, I was reading an artical in the newspaper the other day about how some local boat owners were having problems getting the regular gasoline they needed at the pumps. It said that most area stores only carried gas now with ethanol added, and that alot of boat motors and aircraft engines didn't run well with that kind of gas. Also that it caused premature wear on the internal parts. I just went to the store by my house to get some gas for the Shee and noticed signs on all the pumps saying "10% or less ethanol added". Does anyone know if this will have any bad effects on a 2-stroke Banshee engine? I hadn't heard anything about this till the other day so I haven't noticed how long the signs have been up.
  24. Rocky Mountain atv has a pretty good selection at decent prices. They have EBC's for 92.99, Galfer waves for 112.99, and Tusk for 59.95.
  25. I just snapped this pic of the rollers. With the swingarm roller in the middle there should be one above and below it. Hope this helps.
