  1. Looks like somebody is a little bitter towards Banshee's....... maybe from getting smoked by them so much
  2. I am close to sea level with a similar set-up. I use 300 mains and 32.5 pilots.... a tad rich but runs well. Has good power all around.
  3. Yes, this is a crossover tube that goes where the bottle is now. These are what comes on them from the factory.
  4. Except for this badboy.... it's awesome! Found this picture on the net, first time I'd seen a square one.
  5. If he had reported it stolen they should have been able to pull up a record of the report, so if they haven't by now they must not have one. Also, the guy can't seem to produce a title even though he says he has one. (or his friend, rather) Something definitely sounds wrong with all that.
  6. It did move along pretty quick
  7. No, the number on the engine will differ from the frame number. I just checked my title and the numbers on it matched the frame, but not the engine. I bought mine new so I know the motor has not been changed. Has your frame been painted/powder coated? If so it may be covered up and can be scratched or sanded off where the numbers are to reveal them. I am in Polk county, about the middle of the state. Are you in FL, too?
  8. Did you find the vin by the gear shifter? You should be able to go to the tag agency with the bill of sale and apply for a title. They will want to know the vin # and how much you paid for it. I live in FL, and did that with a Warrior I used to have. I had to pay taxes and title fees, then my title came in the mail a couple weeks later.
  9. One of the things I really like about my Banshee is the fact of no battery, makes it less maintenance. There are so many sport quads out now with electric start... but no back-up/alternative way of starting them. Battery problem equals no go. Just depends on where your at with the quad as to how big of a problem it becomes. I understand adding one for accesories or something, but it's nice to not have to depend on a battery for engine starting purposes.
  10. When I read post #1 on this thread I knew it was going to end up roosting room material!
  11. Man you are talented! Looks like you stay pretty busy, those are some really nice rides.
  12. Welcome to the HQ, 02screaminbanshee. That's a nice looking Banshee, man. Heres a pic of a crossover tube, if you want to lose the bottle just pull it and replace it with one of these. Snuck the ol' nitro boost bottle in there, eh?
  13. I had a set of those on a quad I use to have, and I liked them alot also. As far as wear they really held up good, and had excellent traction too.
  14. Your right, I see what your saying. I wasn't thinking about the closed box.
  15. I haven't used a Chariot so I don't know about them, but I run a Noss on mine and I like it alot. They are very well made and I highly recommend them.
  16. Man that's a cool looking grab-bar!
  17. Alright I gotta ask ya, MJ, ......why not?
  18. Yeah no doubt, just looking at it you can't tell it doubles as a camera. Then when the light suddenly comes on it catches them off-guard and when they look at it out of surprise.... snap, good identifying facial picture! That's a pretty good security device.
  19. +1
  20. I use the PJ1 filter cleaner and oil. The cleaner really works well and gets all the dirt out. What I do is spray it down good with the cleaner, and let it soak a few minutes. Then rinse it out with a hose from the inside out. Then I have a tub with warm water and Dawn dish soap and I dip it in that and squeeze and work it into the filter good. Then rinse and repeat two more times with the dishsoap water. Then let it dry really well, I usually let it dry overnight. You want to make sure it completely dries or the water will displace the oil in areas, letting dirt in. Then your ready to oil. I run a K&N filter on my Shee now, but that's how I use to clean it, and still do with my other quad and my wife's quad. I take filter cleaning/oiling very serious..... the lifespan of the engine depends on it.
  21. Did you squeeze out all the excess oil good? And yes, there is a K&N filter available for it. You should apply plenty of oil to the foam and massage it in well, but then squeeze out the excess to keep it from clogging.
  22. +1 Banshee's definitely have a stiff thumb throttle, after a few hours riding I find my thumb getting awful tired!
  23. :yelrotflmao: LOL, yeah his wife shouldn't be mad..... he was just in his "birthday suit"!
  24. Clean Banshee, man. I like the look of the half cut fenders. You've got a nice ride there....
  25. Well that's just a starting point for the jetting, you'll need to do a plug chop to be sure about it.... then go from there. The jetting I described works for me where I'm at, but I'm not sure of the elevation at Glamis. Someone that rides in that area may chime in on the carb settings, but the plug chop will let you know for sure when your dialed in right.
