  1. 120?? are you guessing on that or do you know that cause others have said 150-160 in that range of answers i got but they were not positive.......as for splitting the case and cleaning it out, shouldn't he then replace all the seals and bearings at that point.....seems like it might get a little costly huh???
  2. i know this is a banshee forum but i thought maybe you fellow 2 strokers could help my friend out with his lt 250r quadracer.....im not sure where to look.......for banshee's i know but for him and his im not sure.....he would like to know 1. what should his stock compression be at sea level? (or where to find it he doesn't have a computer so i got stuck doing all the research) 2.how can you idenify what year a engine is from the engine #? 3.suggestions on the following problem....he had a problem where he thought the clutch went so i took it apart for him and found that the basket fingers broke (about 6 of them)along with about 60% of one of the clutch plates(in tiny pieces)....now im thinking that most of the pieces of basket and clutch plate are in the trans since not that much came out when i took the cover off.....what should he do cause im sure that will ruin the trans gears right?
  3. i ride trails(woods) and mx track once and a while but the trails i ride has many long straight aways( some fields and some paved roads in between trails) that we go head to head on and i weight in at about 175-180....was thinking if i went up in gearing for more top end i was going to go with a shorter swingarm for the traction and the get up and go in the trails but for now i still got the stock swinger .......so what do you think???
  4. i think i understand what your saying....so with my mods, what gearing do you think i should run and/or what gearing do you think would be borderline to much for my bike to EFFECTIVELY pull???
  5. so your telling me i added all these things to the bike and with the stock gear ratio it still will only go in the 70's like it did from the factory??? but it will just get their faster....and if i change the gearing it will go faster but take longer to get thier????
  6. so you mean to tell me you coul have 100 hp and a 13t front and you will still only go 70 ish....lol....im sure that calculator is not considering added hp and with my rear at 40 (not 42 sorry about that) and tire size at 21 i think i should be back right around stock ratio anyway....so the 13 t front is made up for....and im sure i have a tad bit more hp as well so i cant see 69 - 72 mph being my top out........maybe 77 - 80 but if im wrong please explain cause thats how i see it but maybe im missing something and thats the whole reason behide this in the first place

  8. lol.....maybe my eyes are deceiving me but it looks that way....whats the best way to measure this....cause i was thinking of getting my swingarm cut to go -1 but dont want to wast my time if it f'ed up
  9. i need some help with this swinger problem.....seems to me when i look at my shee from the rear on each side, the one side seems to be sticking out further then the other....is the swinarm cocked or bent???....it looks straight....or maybe its the axel? any ideas on this?????

  12. well i got t5 pipes, cool head with 20cc domes, v force reeds, dynatek set on # 3, and im running 50/50 race gas amd 93pump gas, 13/42 sprockets 21's on the rear tires......im at sea level if that makes a difference.....so what do you think my top would be???? and i weight 180lbs.
  13. i was looking to have eveyone post the thier top speeds and thier mods and sprocket sizes ....just to see what can be achieved and what it takes to do it ........also to give me an idea of what i might be running at....thanks
  14. so what about boss racing baskets.....no one has used them or knows if they are any good?????......i dont want to get it if its not good...was thinking of getting a magnum if boss was no good or even if it wasnt better cause magnum is a little cheaper
  15. ok........ will i have any performance improvements from the gears???? is it worth it for the money for a lightly moded shee???
  16. anybody got any info on this????? also what about the clutch disengagement adjuster or also called the pancake bearing i think.....should i just wait for this to go bad or change it before it goes?????
  17. ive been looking up straight cut gears and lock up clutch and cover and was wondering when would be time to do these things or are they only for race shee's with high hp ....would a mildly moded shee benifit from any of these????

  20. is the shift pro worth the money if u already have a modified shift star???? which is better to have the pro or the star if you had to choose one???

  22. can someone tell me what im in for? when my shee is running i hear a chatter comming from the clutch side of the motor and when i put it in gear it lowers but the sound is still there......it seems to be going fine just wanted to know if this noise is cause for concern and whatr it might be before i go and open her up

  24. the 28mm carbs hit the clutch arm??? and if not then does that mean all the boss and wkr intakes do is look good and take up less space.....do they not do any thing for performance for $160?????
