yea he tried to mess with the best (banshee) and he literly died(450)......bunch of us went ridding yesterday and we come out of the trails on a highway shoulder and my friends been tellling me he was going to suck me up since i got my work done to my bike so were going and he takes off so i take off, i cruise by him and continue to pull away about 10 bike lengths i look back and see a little smoke coming from his bike think nothing of it then few seconds later look back again and thers smoke everywhere and he's on the side stopped with everyone else stopped around him so i go back and turns out he blew the motor, theres a nice crack from the top of the bottom case to the bottom of the jug

i have a similar problem.....different setup though.....it bogs a little up top of the 6th .....dont remember if it does it in 5th.....what could cause this????

is the stock plug cap a resistor style cause i already use br8es and was wondering if having both resistor style plug and cap would do ant harm???

do you have a part # for these caps and a place to purchase them?

ok well the temp was about the same maybe even 5 degress warmer so that cant be it.....................now you say it may have been running a little richer in a higher elevation.....would that cause it to hesitate/break up like it did at wot in 5-6 gear or could that be a carb sync problem???

ok i got my motor all together and jetted it, did some wot runs and checked the plugs everthing looked good(@300-500ft asl) .......then went ridding about 2 hours away @800-1100ft asl and never thought about it....ran ok all day, not great but ok with a little rough idleing at times and some breaking up @wot......so i ask did the elevation cause this???.......if so how many jet sizes do i need to go up????

ok i got a 4mill ported shee running race gas ect.....check out my sig, and my friend has a yamaha 450 quad with pipe, open air box, cam adjust mod and rejeted........which quad would win on a wide open 1/4 race or longer.......he seems to think that i would have to let off after completely topping out so i dont blow up the shee and he would catch up and win

i had my motor built about three mths ago when the temp was around 70-80 ....now its 35-50 and im just getting around to putting it all back together. i was told then to put 158 mains and 50 piolets, needle(jjh) on the 3rd clip so what should i jet them at now? my mods are 4mill long rod, aggressive trail/hillshooter full port job, port matched case, v3's, cool head(170-173psi), t5's, open airbox, dyna tek cdi(curve 3) and adjustable stator @+2 @sea level

yea running 50/50 race gas and 93 pump and yea the rear shock is stock but recently rebuilt

ok this is what i got: 02 shee with 4mill long rod, matched aggresive trail/hillshooter full port job, case matched, t5 pipes, 28mm carbs, cool head pushing 172-174psi, dyna tek cdi on curve 3, adjustable stator +2, v force 3, open air box, 15-41 gearing with stock swingarm, extended arms and 21's on the rear tires................................would like to know what i need to do to hook up and get some good traction.......i ride in a lot of dirt trails open and tight and coal hills and fields....alot of head to head racing on those surfaces too......so what do i got to do.....gearing, swingarm, what! help me here

yea i figured anyone that uses this setup maybe could help me out on this one......just wondering what those poeple did for a fix......if you have this setup then you know what im talking about and dont need a pic

yea i seen that before but when i need to go through the streams when they get a little deep i throw my lid on and that airbow has no lid

i ride everywhere unfortunatly ....muddy, dusty, coal mines, sometime through small streams to get from one trail to another so i got to keep it unless someone knows a better solution

dont have no pics but the problem is it doesnt fit...... i guess the boss manifold is bigger then stock setup therefore it looks like the stock airbox needs to go back and relocated or be modified some how

anyone using the boss intake with 28mm carbs and the stock airbox????? im having a problem with it all fitting......does anyone have a airbox mod solution????

if i get jjh needles will the bowls still run dry and if so how do you open up the inlet holes on the fuel needle??? -

well i double checked with him on the subject and gave him the info ...carb size, temps, elevation ect. and thats what he said both times.....he's a known builder(kevin herr) so i think he knows what he talking about so i went and ordered them.....if they are wrong, what will it cause the bike to do....run rich, lean and @what throttle position...so i know what to look for??/
