  1. I have a fast clutch in one bike and a cascade heavy duty clutch in the other. I have been told that both use the fzr1000 fibers and the barnett steel with some hd springs. So far so good, and no i do not run the orings on my bikes. Works great and does not make any funny noises. I wouldnt put them in. just extra parts. my .02
  2. Drakart makes them also i believe, but they too are expensive I have been told. Heck they could be the same manufacture with just a rebadge. I just saw a nice drakart car with a hayabusa in it and it was sweet. http://www.drakart.com/
  3. At only 190, it shouldn't be puking out the overflow, so my guess would be combustion leak into the water jacket. Probably head not sealed correctly. Did you check your squish clearance before you fired it up? What kind of head are you using?
  4. I like the laker plastics. One piece like the fullboar, but still has that stock square look.
  5. Oh wow, I just made the mistake of googling this. :: :shoothead:
  6. Dude, I just spit diet coke all over my monitor, that is some funny shit and oh so true.
  7. Yep, in your case, it would be bolt on and go. All you need is the 58x68 cub monoblock and you are in business. Perhaps different domes for your head depending on what you have now and where you want to go, but you already have the 4mil bottom end so you could be rockin in no time and probably less than $1000.
  8. Lowbuck, the front rotors and thumb throttle with billet cascade lever shipped out today. Sorry i didnt get them out earlier. My week went to hell in a hurry last week. Phil
  9. That motor isn't very old at all, I remember your posts when you got it. I wonder if you wouldn't be money ahead to just sell that motor and start over with a stocker? I would imagine a freshly built motor ported by passion would be worth a decent amount of change, and you could probably pick up a stocker for a pretty fair price if you shop it. I dont know just an idea.
  10. I had 3 different builders recomend shearer's to me. I had been researching a 4mil stock cylinder but ended up going to the cub. The concensus that I gathered was that the shearer's hit every so slightly later but not really that much. Everyone kind of agreed that what was gained up top was worth it. Nobody bad mouthed the cpi's, they just really liked the shearers. I ended up buying my whole cub set up from FAST and jeff told me they are both great pipes, but for what i was building, he really recomended the shearers.
  11. Yeah, that is a good tip too. I put a straight edge on mine and it looked good. Like I said, some may not have problems, I just had somebody warn me about it and when I checked sure enough with the cylinders pushed all the way down, they werent seating properly. Hopefully it will help somebody else out.
  12. You got PM
  13. Just FYI for anybody looking to do a cub. I got this tip off PS. I had to lightly chamfer the outside edge of my cylinder because it was hitting the case where it flares out ot meet the clutch cover. My cylinder would not go all the way down and sit flush on the cases. It barely interfered, but it would have caused sealing issues. I know i am not probably making sense, but here is a pic which may clear it up a bit, its the lip on the far left of this pic Basically the cub cylinder is wider than the stockers and you may need to clearance ever so slightly to get it to clear the case on each side. Clear as Mud
  14. Umm just say no Yeah that Ummm please dont :yelrotflmao: :yelrotflmao:
  15. You think red is tough try the green stuff designed as sleeve retainer. Makes the red look pussy. Crazy shit
  16. I do. I put blue loctite on everything. Not only will it keep things from vibrating loose, but it lubes the threads and prevents gauling and seizing when you do the install. I even use it on pipe fittings.
  17. Hey man, post up a pic of your bike with the new tank.. I have been thinking about one for one of my bikes.
  18. Yup, definitely need to know budget. If not wanting to spend a ton, get it ported and have the stock head modified or spring for a cool head. If you are willing to spend the money, do a Cub. Sand mountain is a huge as hill and it will take some HP to go up fast.
  19. I knew those things would go fast. They are nice for sure. congrats to both parties.
  20. If you are willing to spend a total of 10gs, do the above mods, then get some +2+1 a-arms, good shocks, and you will now handle way better also. Some good tires and then tear it up. if you plan to ride at night, throw a 200w stator and some bigger lights. Really fun bike
  21. Hey man, follow this link: http://www.farmandsandtoys.com/index.asp Jeff is a good guy, he can answer all your questions and get you hooked up with as much horsepower as your wallet can handle. He will shoot you straight tell you what you really need/dont need. To do a 421 cub the right way you better plan on spending 4K plus to get everything new. If that is in your budget go for it. I would stear clear of the trex as i have heard it takes a lot of work ($$) to make them run hard. Dollar for dollar everybody is going to tell you that the cub can't be beat. If you want to get nuts, have the 421 drag ported and throw it on alky. from what i hear 100hp isn't out of line for that combo.
  22. I have a set of used trinity stage 4 pipes but have never run them. I was told they perform a lot like t5's, but might pull a little higher into the rpm. Had planned on trying them before I blew up my motor. Now I went to a cub and bought some shearers. The nice thing about the stage 4 trinitys is that they are made of stainless steel, so no chrome to chip or flake/fade and they will stay looking great even if you ride at the beach like I do. My buddy has had a set for several years, and if you keep the silencers polished up nice, the pipes basically stay brand new looking. I think trinity gets a bad rep more from customer service than bad parts around here. I dont think that their stuff is bad, its just that you can get a lot more for your money elsewhere.
  23. Definitely stock for stock the banshee gets its ass handed to it. Pipes filters, advance timing and the banshee will take it, but would depend on rider. That has been my experience anyhow. Port that bitch and spank that craptor.
  24. Barrel too short. this thing would be considered a rifle due the butt stock. needs a 16 inch barrel to be legal at least around here. I think that thing is freaking cool.
  25. Thank you money sent.
